89 Wins would be great...I do believe ATL fades somewhat, even though they haven't yet...And SD & ARI are coming back down to earth...Of those three, the METS only need one of them to play .500 the rest of the way, if METS go 17 - 10, or your 18 - 9. If PHI can muster two wins @ home vs ATL and METS win the next two @ CHW and win the Red Sox opener on Monday, METS would only be 1/2 Game back of ATL with 24 Games to play, including three vs ATL.

@@stanfromwestport2024 Gonna be exciting and nerve wracking for some. Braves have a pretty light schedule left compared to the Mets. The Mets last 10 games are all on the road vs teams currently with better records than the Mets. One game at a time Boys!

88 is the magic number do that and win 2 of against the Braves and we will get a spot one of these teams will finish at 88 or less we just need to tie that team. I honestly think our best bet is the Dbacks that have the strongest opponents left. Problem is the Mets have like the sixth worse schedule left amongst contenders and second with the NL WC behind only the Dbacks

You mentioned rooting for the Phillies. I've been rooting for them for the last 2 postseasons after the Mets were eliminated. They're a fun team to watch and have the same rabid fans... and of course... they always beat the Braves!

Hi Ryan....3 Behind ATL and 5 Behind ARI & SD. If the METS play the same winning ball they have played since May 29th over the last 80 Games @ 49 - 31 in these remaining 27 Games, the METS only need one of the three Contenders to play one or two games game under .500 ball to overtake them. If PHI can beat ATL @ home today and tomorrow and the METS win the next two @ CHW and win the Red Sox opener on Monday, then the METS will only be 1/2 Game behind ATL...LGM & LGP....!!

Have to think though that the Mets have a tougher schedule than Atlanta. After this series they go to the Red Sox and Braves have Rockies. Rockies are a team screaming to be swept while the Red Sox as in a wild card race. I like the chances of the Braves picking up games

I said haven't given up on Mets Mets do this leave you on edge of your seat when you shouldn't be. I'm still unsure just because they show ,but when they really need to crazy things happen senga, munez😮😮 2022 all they needed was one win to be at Atlanta degrom and scherer didn't show up. I been doing this for years and like every year pray they make it just have to see yesterday game was good come back

Mets are 7 games over .500. That is their high water mark, and it means that they have played .500 ball since the Senga game on July 27th(16-16).

I think what Mets fans need to do is just count one game at a time. You don’t want to get ahead of yourself. Don’t scoreboard watch just go out and beat the teams you going beat. If you scoreboard watch and think too far ahead it’s a roller coasts or emotions.

Anything less than a sweep would be a disappointment. It’s a critical part of the season and you’re playing arguably the worst team in MLB history. You have to get the job done.

If this team wants to be a playoff team, they should be able to handle any tough stretch in the schedule. Otherwise that stretch could definitely be a big reason why the Mets don’t make the postseason if that’s what ends up happening.

As far as the playoffs, hope for the best, expect the worst. I think they'll miss out by a few games, and they can think about all those games they had in the bag, then blew at the end. Hope I'm wrong.
