Its not that important to get it perfect tho... if it goes on little bit more crooked, that means that it is going to have more movement in the water and that is rarely a bad thing. Only when fishing in very warm water and the fish is hyoer active
Pinch all the barbs on your hook. Barbs cause more damage to the fish if your not gonna keep them. Look up videos of commercial tuna fishers, they use barbless hooks. As long as you keep tension that fish isnt coming off the hook. It does come down to skill.
Fishing is drugs, ive stopped for like a good 5 years recently. And out of nowhere that shit woke up in me like a fire out of nowhere😂. Now im like 2 grand deep with a jon boat and several nice rods.
I got mtb trout and panfish. like 2 years ago.Fell in love with plastics. Omg I'm terrible.. I just pinch hear to the jigs and pull tail doing a few 360% . .
line the jig head up next to the plastic before you do it and make a lil mark with a sharpie or whatever where the hook should enter and exit and ever since i started doing that they come out perfect👍sorry for the long reply
These lures are absolute crap. It tears at the slightest poke when rigging...and if by some miracle you get it on the hook clean, the first time a saltwater fish pulls on it it's gone. They try pushing the "glue" to fix them....how about making a product that is tough enough to last a few casts. I wouldn't fish these if they were free.
They are TRASH soft plastics. I have a feeling once the hype dies down from all the wanna be kids NLBN will have to sell the business exactly like toadfish had to do.
@@bigjuicy2493 I agree with you but my point stands if it’s free like dude said, I’d be re rigging all day, I can tie a clinch knot in a matter of seconds whos to say I couldn’t throw a new plastic on just as quick
" Use your finger to mark where the hook point is going to come out.... " "Now move your finger and forget all previous references, because you are going to guess anyway....?"
one method i heard about it instead of marking it with like a sharpie or something, put the hook in until it bends, and then press the eye of the jig head into the paddle tail and then push the hook up through the paddle tail and make the hook stick out of where the indentation you made with the eye is
Line the jig head with the bait and with a sharpie make a small mark on the side of the bait and the center of the bait. You can then determine how far to push the bait onto the hook and where the hook will come out better.
@@tailwateroutfitters thanks! I just subscribed to your channel because I stumbled upon it. I like the rod n reel vids, how to rig videos, all of them. Keep up the good content.
