New Mexico is ripe with ghost towns and their legends. But in the case of Chloride, NM calling it a ghost town is a bit off the mark, at least since a couple bought it and call it home. Keeping New Mexico's wild west history alive is #NewMexicoTrue

We stumbled on Chloride years ago... The Edmunds were delightful and informative about their Town! We camped there for a couple of days, being the only campers in the little RV park . Mr. Edmunds spent quite a bit of time doing show and tell and then invited us to visit with his wife and he in his comfortable little home there in town. When we departed we gave them a really nice bottle of Calif. Wine to thanking him for entertaining and spending time with us... He and I had a lot in common... Computers of the yesteryear. IBM mainframes hardware and software 360/XX's.

We were there last week on a Tuesday (1-18-22), everything was closed, possibly because of covid. There were signs in a few windows that they would be open on the weekends. We’re going back this weekend. It’s worth the visit, nice drive out and back on a paved road.

Cool! Just found your channel while looking for something on Chloride. What a nice video. I'm subscribing. I'm in the T or C area and need to go on a little adventure, but with gas prices up, I didn't want to go very far. This will be perfect. :)

So awesome. Thank you for these videos. Visiting NM soon. Hubby asked what I wanted to see. Didn’t realize there’s so many choices!

We visited a few years ago. Seemed pretty unghostly to me. Should have spent more time investigating. Then we drove north out of Winston to the VLA. Great drive on a gravel road. The view of the VLA from the top of the hill is simply amazing.

Just saw a video made 5 months ago. All those years he wouldn't let anyone live there but NOW he's trying to get people there. Beautiful sky, beautiful hills, and DOGS BARKING CONSTANTLY. Nothing like a barking dog to kill a place. Even though I'd probably still be interested, unless he makes the dogs live indoors, NO THANKS!

You should edit the music out. His voice is low. Awesome town.
