Hi English language score (IELTS/OET) is a pre-requisite for NMBI registration. Nowadays NMBI asks IELTS/OET results sheet only at the final stage of registration. But NMBI has the right to ask you for that at anytime during your processing. I heard from different groups that many candidates are starting NMBI registration without required IELTS/OET score. Hi After payment, usually the status changes from ’draft’ to submitted. If your status is showing as incomplete , it means either your application form or the supporting documents are incomplete and, due to which, your application is incomplete. The best thing to do is to contact NMBI. They will help you to sort this out. Thanks

Hi, Not very sure. But it may be required from both, since BSc is the primary requirement and MSc is additional qualification. Transcript gives them information regarding our practical and theory hours and stuff. If both qualifications are to be assessed with Irish standards, then both transcripts may be required. Thanks
You could start NMBI application before OET/IELTS, if you are confident enough to clear IELTS/OET before obtaining DL. Because NMBI has the right to ask you the proof of your English language test results , any time during your application process. Hi validity of your passport is very important when doing international processings. if your passport is getting expired, start your processing after renewal of passport. If you have already started processing, you could still renew it anytime, as it is necessary. You would be asked to submit both old and new passports, wherever required, and won't affect your processing. thanks

Hi Brother, I need urgent information from you.. My registration is in Karnataka nursing council and it is expired from 2016 onwards because I never renewed this. Now I approached knc, they told good standing certificate will be given but only till 2016, because after that I have no valid registration there, so in this case if I upload that good standing certificate to nmbi, will I get decision Letter
Hi Do you have any valid nursing registration now, in another state or country ? After 2016? If yes, you could get verification and good standing from that council. Otherwise you will need to contact KNC and renew your registration. NMBI will usually ask for a current, valid nursing registration. Thank you

Knc sent me a good standing certificate but it is mentioned in that like valid for 3 years from date of registration, my initial date of registration was in 2008, and if it is 3 years from then or from the date the good standing was given date, which was on November 25, 2021. Hi Were you not working anywhere since 2016? Ideally NMBI will look for candidates who has a valid and active registration certificate. I haven’t heard from anyone with a similar situation as yours, before. So it is better to email and contact NMBI straightaway and they will advise you. Contact NMBI and clarify your queries before applying. They would respond to emails quickly. Hope that helps. Thanks

Hi If OET results are expired due to delay in processing, it won’t be an issue. OET results valid at the time of starting your NMBI processing would be accepted. But make sure you have at least 6 months validity in your IELTS/OET results at time of starting NMBI application. Thanks

Hi Usually most acute hospitals prefer nurses with minimum 2 years clinical experience. Depending on the staffing requirements, some hospitals and nursing homes may accept nurses with 1 year clinical experience as well. In my opinion, you could start your NMBI processing now and start working as well, in some hospital. So by the time you get your DL, you could have at least 1 year experience and start attending interviews. All the best Thanks

Hi You can try and get a good standing certificate and overseas verification form from Kerala nursing council. I don’t think that would be a problem. Or else, you can renew your Karnataka registration, if that’s possible, and get it from there. So far, NMBI accepts verification and good standing from any state council in India, irrespective of whether you worked there or not. If they ask any queries after submission, you can explain things then. Thanks

Hi I am not sure about the last 5 years thing. You can check with candidates who did their processing recently. NMBI would usually ask for all the experiences from the date of registration. NMBI experience submission won’t affect salary . Salary scale is decided by your employer on the basis of employment verification you submit to them, after your interview. Thanks

Hi That means ‘ NMBI has received further information or documents from your side and they are verifying it’. It could take time depending on how busy NMBI is. After this they will “assess your documents “ and if everything goes well, they will issue you a Decision Letter. Thanks

Hi If you are submitting your experience in India, you will need to get overseas verification and good standing from a nursing council in India where you have registration. I don’t think Expired registrations will be verified by the council. So it would be ideal to renew and keep at least one active nursing council registration in India. Thanks

Hi When you start your application, you will get all the required forms, to download , from your ‘mynmbi’ account. There will be an application reference number, but I think no one would ask for it. Also, I think you can upload/remove documents from your mynmbi portal, before submitting. And even after submitting, if you think something was wrong, you can always contact NMBI and correct it or resend it. But it will delay your processing. All the best Thanks

Hi Generally speaking, clinical experience is not mandatory for NMBI registration. But it would be difficult to find a job/clear interviews without clinical experience. I think the best thing to do would be to start working as a clinical nurse from now on, and start your NMBI processing, if you have plans. By the time you get your DL, you will have 6months to 1 yr clinical experience and you would be able to apply for jobs. Some nursing homes recruit freshers as well. But it completely depends on them. They may or may not accept. Thanks

In that case, I think, you can state your experience as clinical instructor and get the same verified by your employer. I don’t think it would be considered as career gap. Send an email to NMBI overseas reg section/ to your assessor, mention your friend’s name and details, stating that you authorise that person to contact NMBI on your behalf. Also, share your application details (application number, full name etc) to that person as well. After that, that person could contact NMBI and say he/she was authorised. Thanks
