NMC Reply for MBBS in Georgia | MBBS In Georgia Does Not Fulfil NMC FMGL Rules | MBBS in Georgia
Dear MBBS Abroad Aspirants,
In an E-Mail communication dated 13 September National Medical Commission has clarified that Georgia DOES NOT FULFIL all the conditions prescribed in the FMGL Guidelines & NMC shall not recognise the degree for permanent registration in India to practice allopathy in India.⛔
Georgia has always been under a controversy due to a intentional confusion created by a section of consultants. Students are told that registration of Junior doctor is given by Ministry of Education after 6 year of studies. But it is very important to note that NMC is asking for the licence to practice which is awarded by Ministry of Health after completing of residency of 2-3 years.⛔
This will increase the duration of medical education in Georgia to 8 to 9 years. As the student has to complete his NEXT 1 + Internship + NEXT 2 in India also within 10 years he/she will never be in position to complete it and his whole medical degree will become invalid.⛔
