NMIXX “Run For Roses” Performance Video | REACTION + OUR INTERPRETATION! 

NMIXX besides having an incredible music, they have a whole universe, that is present in every song, with NMIXX you don't just follow the music, you follow a whole story told in these songs, when you understand the lore the song becomes even better, no one else has done something like what NMIXX is doing, this album will be incredible. as you said, this song is a song of empowerment to confront the ''villain'' of the NMIXX universe.

this is like.. so revolutionary feeling. it feels like it could belong in the hunger games ballad of songbirds and snakes. its suchhhh a beautiful song. and oh haewon eating as usual I need more high notes from our main vocalist.

They really are the mamamoo of gen 4. Haters gonna hate but they ATE that. NMIXX (and MAMAMOO) feel like a group of artists and not every group feels that way. Sometimes it's a little abstract or obscure but the talent and confidence is undeniable.

It's basically high expectations and hype for NMIXX before their debut. Well, their debut shocked KPop fans because it wasn't the "typical" KPop sound they are used to. Then, those fans had the nerve to try and bring them down (socially). Well, it has been awhile now since their debut and to be honest, NMIXX progression has been going up ever since! Their sound is not for everyone but to NSWERs, it's theirs to own wholeheartedly! They are super talented! Unfortunate Jinni left the group but you know what? It hasn't affected NMIXX one bit. Great reaction as usual!! The amazing lyrics for Run for Roses were actually written by Day6's YoungK & he did such a good job bc the song fits NMIXX perfectly!

The song has multiple sounds, mainly all old sounds like Irish folk, medieval, Greek folk, and American western. I think the reason is that along with nmixxs own message for their group doing what they want, I also think it’s a message to the world calling for unity “hand to hand”, “we’re alive because we’re not alone”. Which is why they use older music from around the world because any one from that place around the world would recognize. Instead of modern sounds where there’s so many different genres popular in countries or they are popular all around the world

love that you love the lyrics.. YoungK of Day6 co-wrote it, also they have special stage together (NMIXX and YoungK) in it's Live, sounds cool too with all the male female harmony, you might want to check it! 😊

I bet you’ll be surprised with the 2 other b-sides in titled “Break The Wall” and “Boom” bcoz a lot of people saying that this 2 songs is the 2 versions of O.O mixed genre which is the “baila version” and the “superhero” version and i have a feeling that this rumors are true bcoz in their recent concert Mixx University Concert, they’ve showed like a calendar that has a attachments of their songs to it that they performed in that concert and in that calendar they showed 2 “new songs” which is Run for Roses and XOXO and they performed it there. Now, the thing is they also performed the 2 parts of O.O there and when they release the whole track of the album the songs are: 1. Dash (Title Track) 2. Soñar 3. Run for Roses 4. XOXO 5. Passion Fruit (they didn’t perform it yet even in their recent fancon) 6. Boom (Superhero Ver.) 7. Break the Wall (Baila Ver.) So, a lot of people including those who’ve watch their fancon have high expectations that those 2 last songs in the list will be the O.O 2 parts version since only Run for Roses and XOXO are the only 2 new songs that they’ve performed in their fancon and also why fans think that those 2 are the O.O parts its bcoz the way the title was called like “Break the Wall” (the scene were kyujin slamming into those walls in O.O & a lot of domino walls scene) while in “BOOM” which is the “superhero” part is, in their fancon when they perform this song when you listen to the whole song, it has a lot of “boom” words/lyrics in it auch as adlibs and this song is giving like a comic vibe coz theres a lot of comic lyricsm or effect in it such as “PAW!” “PEW!” “ZOOM!” and “BOOM!” like if you read a comic books, and you know whats funny? Is when i watched your O.O reaction, you guys explained about the comic elements in O.O lyricsm such as “Shook” “wook” “hook” lmao so if you like connect all the dots it has like 80-90% that those 2 b-sides will be the O.O 2 full parts. It’s Irish trad or bluegrass that you hear them using with that fiddle. There are a few other genres that use similar fiddle styles, but the root of it is Irish trad (which is a type of folk music)

Just an fyi, the intro in that part of the song where the fighting choreo is, is actually a banjo 🪕. The style it was played at is very reminiscent of old country or western saloon music. Hence the "fighting" choreo, which is supposed to paint the picture of a saloon/bar fight in the wild West days.

I always choose a group that could could give no limitation on what genres they want to do. NMIXX, Xdinary Heroes, B.A.P and Dreamcatcher all those of my favs group show their versatility through their discography, through various genres of their music. Not only just music, but various emotion through their vocals. That's why I dissagree with those people who forced the group remain on one kind of style or genre just to be called unique. Uniqueness came from their origin self, not from style. Bcoz there is no original style. Those style came from various remake, fushion of some style that already exist or coming back from the past when it is already forgetful by people. Style always in cycling route, so it doesn't own by only one figure. For example, other artist still can use Michael Jackson's music genre, but they still can't be Michael Jackson.
