The igbos formed due to migrations of Benin , ijaw igala and some Bantu ppl of Cameroon that's why you see some similarities between igbos Benin, ijaw and igala ppl e.g the beads that igbos use today came from Benin ppl. My point being that in human history we have not been in one place people migrate to different places and mix with each other

If u study history before colonial era there was not like igbos. the only empires was Benin ,Yoruba and others when the Benin empire fell the were alot of migrations from Benin e.g the urhobo and isokos have similar names and culture to benin ppl. The igbos formed due to migrations of Benin , ijaw igala and some Bantu ppl of Cameroon that's why you see some similarities between igbos Benin, ijaw and igala ppl e.g the beads that igbos use today came from Benin ppl. There was a time i saw a man speaking Igbo but to my surprise it was igala the language sound so similar and they look like igbos. My point being that in human history we have not been in one place people migrate to different places and mix with each other.

@@Alfie_7 More research is needed though there are historical evidences that show connections between Igbo craft and Egyptian crafts but we cannot make conclusions yet. Until Nigeria better we no go know.

Secondly, there’s no genetic evidence that shows a migration from people in the levant to the lower Niger. Jews have a 7 day week, igbo have 4. The languages are completely different, Igbo has more in common with Yoruba, There’s is very little similarity between both cultures. This is truly embarrassing to be honest. @@Alfie_7 I have made no conclusions neither am I discarding my heritage. These are just little points from early research and besides these connections are also found in tribes in other west African States. Their is absolutely nothing wrong with carrying out research on your culture to find it's links. Infact Africa especially needs that research the most to bring about stronger unity and economic power and to reverse the divide and conquer delusion that many Africans are under. God split humanity into many tribes not for the purpose of hating each other but to work together for progress but it is unfortunate especially in Africa that it has become the opposite. Africa is talking about AFCFTA but many African ethnicities/nations are in war/cold war with each other and would bearly accept any trade from because of some superstitious prejudice. This is why we need to revisit our roots.
