Thanks for the video man! I put this jump seat in my 2004 tahoe and I love it!! I added (2) fast charging USB plus in the back. Great for long road trips!
2007-2013 GMC SIERRA/CHEVROLET SILVERADO FRONT BUCKET SEATS & REAR FOLD-UP SEAT Will this work in the 2004 Chevy sliverado the stuff is coming out of a 2009 GMC Sierra 2500 it’s got the same console as u put in it’s also got the manual bucket seats I just wanna make sure it will all swap over in my 1500
That's basically what I was thinking watching this, I like the old style I think the cup holders are in a better spot and the tray on the top of the armrest is super handy. I can see the appeal of rear cup holders and the under seat storage as well though.
Looks better yes I agree, but you do it for practicality bc the nbs jumpseat has bottom storage, rear cupholders and 1 more cupholder up front and is more strong as an armrest hence no squeaking. I just want a damn cupholder from the original jumpseat mine only has dash cupholders
I need this seat i cant find it on amazon or eBay its so much better and has more space to put things in. I might have to go to the junkyard and look for one.
I installed a 2012 jump seat with locking storage in the bottom in my 2002 GMC Sierra. I had a center console with bucket seats and folding armrests. It is a tight fit. I removed the factory armrests to give more room for the jump seat. I think its a perfect fit for those trucks with the 40/40/20 split seats. The bucket seats are wider and make it snug. Everything works fine and power seats still operate just makes a rubbing noise while i move them. It looks sweet and i found a black leather one so it blends in perfectly. Definitely worth the 167$ i found it at LKQ. Way more comfortable than the skinny armrests also.
in case anyone else is looking for this info, the front nuts fit a 15mm socket and the rear bolts fit a 7/16" socket perfectly. the guy in this video nevere said what to use for the back bolts and few if any videos tell you as most say just go buy an e-torx bit set for a job you will only do once in your lifetime if you are lucky
Bro, your videos are awesome, please keep making more videos. I have a 99 silverado, and you have showed me stuff I didn't know. Also, what year was the truck that middle seat came out of?
I used to have a 93 that had a storage space under the seat like that one, only one I've ever seen that old idk if they all had them or not that was the only one I saw like it. The top portion of the console had all kinds of wood on it
I hope you see this and are able to respond. This is a great swap. Can you confirm the year range of the NNBS jump seat? I've got a 2001 2500HD 4x4 crew cab, and I'd really like to swap in the same jump seat as you did. Lots more storage and frees up a little space on the floor. I'm only asking since you put " 07-13 I believe" in your video description. Much obliged for this video...flippin awesome. BTW...what does NBS and NNBS stand for (prolly a dumb question)
I’m not positive on the year range. But if the seat looks like this one then it will fit. Nbs is “new body style” nnbs is “ new new body style”. It is a pretty awesome swap, I have no regrets from doing it.
Psyched to get rid of that big old center console on my 02 avalanche, just need to find the jump seat from a Nnbs, so 07-13, right? Its going to be hilarious trying to order seat covers for my 02 truck and a matching cover for a nnbs jump seat :D THANK YOU so much for this video, it made it so easy to figure out exactly what I needed!
That is awesome, I didnt know that would work, awesome that it does, now I want to do mine, cuz I hate those cup holders on the factory one on mine. Plus there is more storage space in the the one you installed! 👍🏽💯
I finally found a center console out of a 2013 Silverado identical to yours and it fit perfect no modification at all... Thanks for the great video again
Just put a console from an 07-13 in my 04 xcab. MUCH better. Like yours mine was gross underneath the seats. On a side note my mounting tabs were bent also. Looked like they were bent in shipping.
I wonder if this swap would work on my 2000 gmc sierra 1500 extended cab. I'd love to have the jump seat, much more storage, looks very clean any tips/advice?
I want to do this but finding one in gray is proving really hard. Worse yet the biege or brown is available like crazy but not what i need and wayyy low pricest it makes me sad ughhh
Great Vid👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Have to get these sears out of truck in the boneyard and need power to move seat forward on one seat and back on the other Now I will be able to get them out easy 👍🏻👍🏻💪🏼💪🏼Thank You so much for Sharing 🙏🏻
did this to my 2006 Silverado.found a 2010 jump seat at local junk yard for $250.00 .fit right in.everybody says it makes truck look more expensive.i have also installed the factory fog lights with correct factory switch and wired to fuse block correctly and swapped out original power mirrors with original power mirrors w/ turn signals.the mirrors were plug and play and the switch for fog lights plugged right in.all I had to do was run hot wires for fog lights to correct relay socket, tie ground side to frame, install relay.fuse for foglights was already in place.had to buy pig tails for fog lights at Autozone.truck was not pre wired for fogs.factory switch to replace original cargo lamp switch with factory fog/cargo wsitch was about $60.00.
Yes it’s a great upgrade. I don’t have any complaints. That’s awesome. I’m hesitant to hook my dog lights up because I kinda want to get a steel bumper. But that’s sweet you used the factory switch, made it look stock. I wish I wouldn’t have put after market switches in my dash
Damn you and your amazing content !! I was done spending money on my truck and I saw this video. Went out the next day and got a matching 2009 console for my 2000 silverado with key from scrap yard $40
Endless Wishlist the truck just came in that morning. Was not in inventory system yet. Was the only NNBS that had any interior. And key was in steering collum. I showed the guy the surface mold and the lid broke off. About a hour later of cleaning and some new screws I have it in my silverado now. Thank you for the video !!
How much room would you say was in the bottom of it? Like for the single cab guys could you build a sub box under it? Or are there braces and what not?
@@EndlessWishlist so if you were to cut out the compartment and just had the seat you couldn't put like a 8" sub in under the seat? Sorry for the questions just figured you would be the one to ask seeing how you've done it and messed with it all. Like how many inches are there from bottom of the actual seat pad to the floor if anything maybe build a amp rack under it with a small cooling fan to keep it cool and then build a sub box and not have to worry about where to mount the amps.. not too fond of mounting under the driver or passenger seats after I've done it then reaching under the seat for something and peeling skin back on your fingers or trying to adjust Amps with no room lol sorry again for all the questions
I have a 2005 silverado, does anyone know if I could put 2017 Chevy silverado seats and a center console in it? I don’t care if the electronics work, great video by the way!
Sorry, That comment was for Jake Davis. I have a 2006 duramax with leather seats and a center console. I need to swap out the center console with a seat. This is a great idea! I wonder if it would work with my seats( that have inside arm rests ).
