Honestly, Bublik and Shelton did a great job against Granollers and Zeballos. They put on a good showing and made some nice shots against two among the finest doubles-specialist players in the world, so an opponent they were unlikely to beat. But it was a great learning opportunity, they got a lot of games in, and they made it to the semis!!! I’d be happy if I was them😉
Shelton and Bublik complement each other very well. Shelton is a good net player and bublik is a good ground striker. I can see them winning a major if they practice together. I love when the top guys play double
Федерер и Вавринка выиграли своё время олимпиаду, обыграв парных топов на то время, но Роджер лучший сеточник в мире. А Бублик и Шелтон слишком слабы у сетки, для серьёзных достижений.
Yeah, they will need a lot of practice together. You could clearly see they lack the comfort of having played together for a long time. They made a lot of positioning mistakes and in shot selections. Happens with all the great single players though. They often win only because of their their superior tennis skills against experienced double players.
Профильные парники закономерно выходят в финал. Но другое интересно, как профессиональные теннисисты имея бесконечность по высоте, не могут свечой перекинуть игрока стоящего у сетки? Как!?
It seems like a Spanish thing for some reason, starting with Nadal and Ferrer. Before that the Spanish top players were silent (Ferrero, Moya, Costa etcetc), Bruguera was noisy too but just shortly when he hit, not those super annoying, useless long grunts that last about until the opponent hits the ball
So you are assuming that I was rooting for Bublik/Shelton.. It just proves that you are fanatics that cannot deal with critcism (and that "class" and "humbleness" are not valued anymore). If my favorite player was starting to yell like them, I would just turn off the TV. But I don't even care about some "favorite player", I just care about good tennis and I think that "shouting like an idiot" is not part of it. Shouting that much is unsportsmanlike, especially when the shout continues until the other player hits the ball.
