Great idea 😁 I remember making my own sleeves for my copied cassettes when I was a kid, even going as far as copying out the lyrics on the odd occasion! Ah the things you do when a bored teenager.....
Wow that's awesome Mike! When you can't find the original sleeve why not draw it yourself! Great idea to buy the blank sleeves and make your own. Best thing about that is, they don't have to be perfect. You can make them your own if you wish. I didn't know the artwork, but when I looked it up I knew it straight away. I thought it looked great, and you should definitely do the others if you feel like it. You could always listen to the albums as you're drawing! Nice one 😁🤘🤘
@metalmickey You're welcome mate! Haha, even I could do those albums without messing it up! 😂 I'm sure you could do the others if you wanted, you're good enough! 😊🤘🏻
DIY attitude, what could be more metal. Looks alright! I've pondering what to do with things I have without sleeves. I've realised some online photo printers print 10x10" or 12x12". Thinking I might even have ago on a home printer onto photo paper and mount / glue to a plain sleeve. Just need to find high quality images. I've found a company online who will print anything on a sleeve, but it's way too expensive. Look forward to seeing the next masterpiece 😄
If I knew your artistic genius before you could have drawn the Repent artworks... hehehe... I guess we all would like to see a "making of" next time! Bring over the Turbo record and we´ll see what I can do for you... trust me I´m a professional, hahaha...
Hey Mickey, that's a great idea you've got there. The result is quite convincing and I like it. It also reminds me of the Cannibal Corpse coloring book I almost bought. Much more fun than the usual mandalas, that's for sure. 😊🤘
Fair play mate, I expected this to look sh1t. But its pretty decent. Ive got about 8 albums that didnt have covers ( given to me for free) I also bought thise white cardboard sleaves. I just drew a logo and title on the front, and same on the spine. Maybe I should do a response video showing mine off lol 😆
I wonder how much it costs to get a professional printing company to replicate an album jacket fairly well? Probably more than it's worth bothering ...also bootlegging. I used to print my own CD and DVD covers for burned discs but a record sleeve is complicated
Hi Mike!! great work, it looks really good, nice and cheap way to "solve" a problem.... i'm sure you can do a much better artwork than Maiden's "Dance of Death". Once i bought a brazilian copy of Metallica's "Master...." that came without inner sheet, so i draw one, now compared to yours mine looks really amateur and bad, lol... cheers
I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit gutted you aren't taking commissions for new album art. My soon to be released porno grind symphonic thrash debut "sing high whilst eating festering pustulent foetus" is desperate for a cover artist! 😂 From hence forth you shall be known as Metal Michaelangelo 🤘🎨🤘
It's a pretty decent effort mate but I don't think Repka or Seagrave will be losing any work to you anytime soon haha I interviewed Coke from Virus on my channel once, he's a cool bloke
Those other album artists you mentioned are now worried you will steal all the future album art commissions from them. Nice job of reproducing that cover Mike.
