I love that you always show a variety of options, and with this recipe I'm going to try the Chocolate coconut protein bars first. Thanks for all the great recipes!
@DingoDandy09 - Hey there! Macros and nutritional information for all of my recipes can be found on my website (link in bio) - feel free to check them out there!
I made the protein oat bars, didn't have all the ingredients but used olive oil instead of coconut, normal milk, and chocolate flavoured whey. Incredibly easy to make, didn't take me long and I'm not experienced with this stuff. Most of all, after a few hours I had the best protein bars I've ever had, absolutely delicious, soft and very filling, unlike shop protein bars, and also clean of anything unnatural. I can't thank you enough for this recipe.
i did the same thing, but with vanilla protein powder and they turned out a-mazing. Can’t recommend them enough- will be regularly making them from now on.
FYI- Used coconut oil on the second batch, they do stick together better and it adds to the flavour, I make them almost weekly now. The flapjack one is crazy easy, my kids love it and make it almost on their own.
Just made the classic oat bar. It was nice and easy. I'm going to leave it in the fridge overnight. Thank you very much. I bought a quest protein bar yesterday afternoon, it was expensive and not very nice. It tasted artificial. I'm so glad I came across your channel. I can't wait to pack my oat bar in my lunch box for work. Thank you!
Thanks so much for the comment! I totally agree about the store-bought bars, especially protein bars. Often there are so many additives to them that make them taste a little off, or even worse, just unpaletable. I always prefer making my own, whenever I can as an alternative to store-bought bars - that way I can control what I put into them. Thanks so much for watching and for sharing!
I'm a huge fan of your cooking videos! I just made your overnight oats and it was a game-changer. It's so helpful to have recipes that are easily customizable for extra protein like these protein bars. Please keep these creative ideas coming!
Hey there! That's awesome that you enjoyed the overnight oats - there are so many ways to enjoy oats, I'm hoping you'll enjoy these recipes for the no-bake oat bars as well. And yes, I love sharing recipes that allow each person to customize according to their preferences 😀 Thanks so much for watching and for the comment!
I just stumbled upon your channel and these energy bars. I made the trail mix bars, and I am very pleased with them. Everyone loves them, including the grandchildren.
That's so wonderful to hear! They a great kid-friendly snack or breakfast, for sure - I'm glad your grandkids love them as well! Thanks so much for watching!
I'm making the chocolate coconut bars as I write this! THANK YOU for posting the gram conversions for everything. It makes the process about 10x easier for me, especially given my physical disability, and I don't have to deal with the nightmare of sticky ingredients & measuring cups. Less cleanup too!
Absolutely! I'm glad you find the conversions helpful. Thanks so much for watching - I'd love to hear how the chocolate coconut bars turn out for you! 😀
@@toastyapron They turned out delicious and I find the texture really addictive- like easily the best texture of any oat/protein bar I've made or bought. I would not have thought to use hemp hearts or chia seeds, but I really liked the little crunch the chia seeds added, and I might even add an extra tbsp or two of hemp hearts the next time I make this! They even looked professional, despite being so easy to put together. I did share these with family members and some were not as fond of the coconut flavour that the coconut oil specifically adds (we're big fans of coconut flakes here, so it's likely not that), but I'm guessing I couldn't sub in a different oil because you need the saturated/solid at room temp quality the coconut oil brings? Thanks again for a banger of a recipe! I'm looking forward to making the crunchy oat bars next.
@LoveCrumb that's awesome to hear! I'm so glad they turned out great for you. As for subbing the coconut oil, you can also use melted butter which has a similar effect of binding the ingredients together. The taste may be more to your liking than the coconut oil!
Just wanted to say I love your cooking videos! I whipped up your overnight oats recipe recently and wow, it was so great! I especially love how easy it is to add different things for extra protein, just like with those protein bars you showed. Keep up the fantastic and creative recipe ideas!
That's awesome to hear! I'm so glad you enjoy the videos and the overnight oats. And for sure, sharing recipes that are easily customizable to suit everyone's own unique tastes and preferences is super important to me - it makes cooking or baking easy, accessible and enjoyable. Thanks so much for watching and for the comment! 😀

Thanks for adding the recipe time stamps. I am going to make your first recipe right now. Can’t wait to eat one in a few hours. ❤ I love how well you give directions.
I eat granola bars almost daily. I don't eat lunch a work so its nice to bring something small to keep up my energy. And sometimes i eat them just for a snack. So im excited to try these and hopefully reduse the cost and also get healthier bars ❤️
Awesome! I hope you enjoy giving these a try! One quick tip is if you do bring them to work with you, leave them in your work fridge (if you have one available) if you can. Keeping them chilled will help them stick together better for longer throughout the day. Thanks for watching and enjoy!
We loved your overnight oats, we've been having them almost every morning and absolutely love them. Now I'd love to try these! Thanks, your recipes are gems: they involve all available ingredients and they are so versatile. Also, I really like that they are more on a healthier side but I can still take a bit of chocolate or other yummies to add to the base, not even nearly a strict starvation diet but quite balanced.
Thanks so much for the comment! I'm so glad you enjoyed the overnight oats - there are so many great ways to enjoys beyond just regular oatmeal, so I'm glad you're finding these recipes helpful, versatile and tasty. And you're absolutely right - I love sharing recipes that are easily customizable, so that each person can make them according to their tastes, diet restrictions, and ingredients on hand. Thanks for watching!
I just watched your other video about ice cream using Frozen bananas. I watched it probably four times all the way through. I shared it on Pinterest and I've shared this one as well. I've been home sick for 3 days with the flu. It's such a drag living alone LOL but tomorrow I'm going to order some groceries and have them deliver them to my car. I cannot wait to try these things that you've prepared. I know they'll help me feel better too.😊
Thanks so much for sharing and for watching, I appreciate the support! And sorry to hear you've been home sick - feel better soon and these will be something to look forward to when you feel better! 😀
I have been trying to cut cost + eat cleaner. Your videos are a life savor!!! Just tried the third recipe and WOW. It is SOOO good and addicting, even my dad was stealing my bars! Thank you for these videos & Free Palestine.
I haven't been able to get alot of hours at work so I've had to make cut backs on food, so that means some cookies 1 a month and a gallon tub of ice cream thats all i get for snacks. I always buy alot of peanut butter to substitute as a snack but now this will actually give me a snack instead of just eating a spoonful of peanut butter at a time.
Suggestion: list all ingredients in one list, then people can choose from the whole list the items they have and like in their bars. Great video. I especially love the 3 ingredient idea. It would be hard to beat that one. I'm low on honey, but i have real maple syrup so i think I'll try that. And i might try it with date syrup some time. Keep u the good work!
Ohhhh my fluff, these look so delicious, I can't wait to try them. Question: I'm a 71 year old widow, should I be using protein powder at my age? If so, what kind? All the ones I see are very confusing figure what I should be using. Thank you and God bless you 👑🙏💞✝️🐾🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯
Hey there! Unfortunately I can't advise on whether you should be using protein powder, but I'd suggest asking your doctor or speaking with a dietitian to see what works best for you - they'll be much better able to advise you on that than me 😀 I appreciate the comment though and I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
These recipes look so good! I’m going to buy some seed butter and try them making them for my son who has a nut allergy :-) It’s so hard to find recipes like this without nuts / nut butter, so I’m thankful for the idea of using seed butter! Looking forward to trying them all!!
Awesome! For sure, seed butter is a great way to enjoy this for those who have nut allergies. I'm glad you found the tip helpful! Thanks so much for watching!
TA, honestly ...! You're a bloody dangerous man ! [grin] You keep gifting us these utterly YUMMY things that make me want to rush off and make them immediately, regardless of the time of day - but I must, first, run them through my WW 'create' area to check how many points they are. And if they turn out to be too many, I shall bust out crying, and it'll be your fault ! 😂
Haha! I'm glad the videos are inspiring you to give them a try! I will say, they taste even better than they look 😀 so I hope the points work out in your favour! Cheers and thanks again for watching!
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you create all these delicious and wonderful recipes. I’m definitely going to try them out. And I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up too
That's so great to hear that you and your daughter enjoyed the energy balls recipes! I'm sure you'll love these as well - I'd love to hear how these bars turn out for you if you do decide to give them a try! Thanks for watching!
What is the reason these are not baked? Is it healthier? I just imagine they are a bit of a sticky gloop...I like a flapjack but would these uncooked versions be better? Is there actually an extra health benefit to having them raw? They do look delicious! 😊
I don't find these to be a sticky gloop at all - in fact, when chilled and hardened they turn out very solid and dense. I'm a big fan of these no-bake bars as a way for those without ovens at home (or who don't want to turn on their ovens) to make oat bars with minimal prep and no cook time. But baked bars are certainly a great option as well - I'll likely have a video on that in the future! There's no significant health benefits (that I'm aware of) between cooked vs. uncooked.
Hey there! I would use a sticky sweetener for these recipes to help bind the ingredients together. While I prefer using honey, you can also use other alternatives such as maple syrup or agave syrup instead. Hope that helps!
@@toastyapronwhat if you not allowed any sweeteners? Is there maybe another way to do it even if I have to bake it if really love to try if you have any ideas …. Thanks for sharing just found your channel and subscribed😊
@NH-bz1qy I personally haven't tried this recipe without using any sweeteners. But I can certainly try experimenting with a sugarless version for a future recipe/video! Thanks for the comment and suggestion!
They all look delicious I have pre-dibitas could I make these less sweet and I'm elergic to peanut butter what else could I use thanks for sharing greetings from dublin ireland Patricia 🇮🇪
Thanks so much for watching! I'm glad you're enjoying them! Currently not, but I am currently working on something where all the recipes found in my videos will be easily accessible. Stay tuned! 😀
If someone has nut allergies do you think using chopped seeds would affect them in the same way?? I want to make a load of oatmeal snack bars for a party, I don't want to use peanut butter because I don't know who has nut allergies so I'll most probably use bananas instead to hold everything together, but I do plan on putting in chocolate chips and dried cranberries so using chopped seeds would be a great idea and I also have mulled hemp seeds too- what do you think? And I i just realized - im going to add in chopped pretzels too!!😋 Oh yeah- and im subscribing! 🤩🤗🩷🍪🌹
Hey there! Seeds are a great substitute for nuts, you can certainly use that! And instead of nut butter, seed butters are also a great replacement (such as sunflower seed butter). Hope that helps - thanks for watching and for subscribing!
I bought an oat bar today because I didn't get a chance to have my usual breakfast of oats in the morning (it really helps my milk supply as a breastfeeding momma). I figured, this would be great to have a stash of and looked for a recipe and here I am. Question though, if I didn't want to add peanut butter, what could be a substitute?
I agree with @Tmh-523 - almond or cashew butter work great as well, while seed butters such as sunflower seed butter or pumpkin seed butter are great substitutes for those with nut allergies.
Hey there! While I recommend using natural nut butter for its consistency, you can try heating up regular peanut butter (in the microwave or stovetop) to loosen it up into a softer, more runny consistency which will help with mixing. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
@@toastyapron Thank you for that tip regarding runny peanut butter as I live in UK 🇬🇧 & I’ve not yet seen runny peanut butter & I’m definitely going to try these bars you’ve shown us to make& they’re so delicious looking thx in advance ❤🙏🏼
Hey there! I think you meant to say without peanut butter? If you're allergic to nuts, seed butters (such as sunflower seed butter) are a great substitute - but I wouldn't suggest excluding this ingredient altogether as it helps bind the ingredients together. Thanks for watching, hope that helps!
Hey there! Instead of coconut oil, you can feel free to use butter as binding agent as well. And instead of coconut flakes, feel free to add whatever kinds of toppings you prefer (seeds, crushed nuts, etc.) Thanks so much for watching!
For the protein bar I guess water could sub for the almond milk? I don't use it & wouldn't want to buy just for the drop needed here & dairy milk would spoil too quick.
Hi there! Instead of peanut butter, you can use any type of nut butter (almond, cashew, etc) or seed butter (i.e. sunflower seed butter, etc.). Thanks for watching!
Hey there! I haven't tried swapping the peanut butter with Greek yogurt, so I can't say how that'll turn out unfortunately. Greek yogurt (mixed with maple syrup) does work great as a layer on top of the oats mixture though!
Hey there! While these bars are not inherently gluten-free, you can certainly find gluten-free versions of many of the ingredients (such as gluten-free oats) depending on the recipe. I'd just make sure to check the labels of the ingredients to make sure. Hope that helps!
Hi there! I hear ya, dried fruit can vary in price and cost around the world depending on where you're located. You can feel free to skip the dried fruit and instead use nuts, seeds, or oats as well - it's totally up to you! Thanks for watching!
Hi there! I personally haven't tried this recipe without using some sort of sticky sweetener (such as honey or maple syrup); I'm not totally sure what I'd substitute in its place to be honest! Sorry I couldn't have been of more help!
Sorry to hear they didn't firm up enough for you! Did you use the same amount of ingredients as listed, or make any alterations? If you did, the only other suggestion I can offer is to really make sure to press it down firmly to flatten and compress everything together. The tighter you press the ingredients together before refrigerating, the more dense and firm the bars will be. And of course, giving it enough time to chill in the fridge to harden. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
@toastyapron I'll compress them more for when I make another batch :) I used the same ingredients as in the video and they honestly tasted incredible! Thanks for taking the time to reply
Hi! This recipe can work with other types of milk, instead of almond milk (i.e. skim, 1%, 2%, full fat milk, other plant-based milk). I haven't tried it with full cream myself, but if you do give it a try I'd love to hear how it turns out for you! Thanks for watching!
NOT that I am lazy but when you supply recipes like this you should also designate the portion size (1 bar - from how many bars per production pan) and the MACROS per designated portion size. This would be useful and highly valuable to your viewers. Yes we can do this ourselves but you can do it as well. Thank you.
I'm a 71 year old widow and made the peanut butter bars yesterday. I added a few milk chocolate chips and they were amazing for breakfast with a nice cup of coffee 😋 it kept me full all day! I will definitely be making these again!! Think I'll add some cinnamon next time and cut into smaller squares. What a great recipe, thank you for sharing these recipes. God bless you and your family👑🙏✝️💞🐾🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯
@kimberly-ek8ii These are so quick to make and so very yummy 😋 Warming the peanut butter just for few seconds in the microwave makes it easier to mix. I used a 12x12 pan and they were a little on the thick side. Lining your pan with parchment paper is a great way to remove from the pan and to slice. I know you're going to love them.
@@maxinemcelroy8902 thanks very much I will love it then and so will grandkids and my neighbors I usually give them some of my extra healthy foods to appreciate you GOD bless you from Oregon
This week I was at the health food store and saw they had some oat bars and as god is my witness I was driving home from work today thinking "I'm going to try and recreate those!" But first I logged on and saw this. I got a few ideas. Definitely going to add some puffed rice and use some coconut oil. Also my hack for no bakes is I use a silicone muffin pan so I just pop out individual pieces with no cutting. Thanks for the inspiration!
That's awesome! For sure - the puffed rice helps make it less dense, a bit lighter, more airy and crunchy; while the coconut oil helps bind all the different ingredients together, which is helpful when using different types of ingredients with different textures. Great call on the silicone muffin pan! That's a great time saver 😀 Thanks so much for watching!
I'm a 72 old guy. I'm going to try to make these, I don't like cooking or doing dishes. This should cut down on both. And if they tast good, that will be a bonus. Thanks
Love these recipes! I have a soy allergy so processed food is OUT! Thank you for posting these great recipes! Love the silicone muffin pan idea. I got some silicone molds that are bar shaped on Amazon. They are deeper than the size of a granola bar but I just fill them half way.
These are super easy to make and you can customize how you like them…can’t eat peanut butter? Use almond or cashew or tahini. I had puffed quinoa and added that too. Use different dried fruits. The combos are endless. Very good recipe, thanks!
You got it! They're so easily customizable that you can literally use up almost anything you have at home in your kitchen or pantry. It's perfect for adapting to different dietary needs as well! Thanks so much for watching!
Made this last night and had it before and after my workout. It’s absolutely great I love how you show different ways to making it and also how detailed you are.Thank you!❤
