Never seen an MG van before, never knew they existed, I knew about the Rover Commerce. Good sporty way of carrying your goods, maybe parts delivery for a Garage etc. Good review as always Mr Lloyd.
A very rare van indeed, especially a 160 like this one! Parts delivery for a motor factor would be ideal, I think, maybe even better in areas with tighter roads. Thank you for watching and commenting one again, sir!
Thank you for this video and interesting vehicle! Unlike in the UK, New Zealanders didn't really consider turning popular small hatchbacks into small vans, apart from van versions of Toyota Corolla in the late 1980s.
MLS where a different design for a very specific set of circumstances. If you just slapped one on without checking liner heights and you got it wrong they failed quickly because they wouldnt seal
Hello Joseph , Back in the 80s nearly all small escorts . astra's , fiesta's, maestros vans where all petrol and then at the beginning of the 90s they all changed to this wonderful fuel called diesel and now thats going . I dont think electric is ready to replace it yet or it just wont do the job any where near as well.
At Pride of Longbridge 2023 I only spotted a single Rover ‘25’ Commerce & a single MG ‘ZR’ Express (both MKII’s). At The Motorist new Year’s event 2023 I saw a single Commerce & Express (MkI’s) & in a town local to me a forbidden fuel Commerce is still in daily usage supplying a small shop. These five are the only ones I’ve ever seen in person and all appear to be in good condition.
