Brits was the only one in the pack i would disagree with. But no Carter is a sin man. What a player. Can anyone think of any flyhalf that had it all like he did. Fast; break lines; great at tackling; offloading was insane and offcourse control of game with his kicking game. Oh and not to mention he is the highest test points scorer of all time. Otherwise apart of Care😅 very good selections.
Nonu I get as he didn't really come into his own at 12 until post 2007 when Evans had run off to England, but Larkham ahead of Carter? Maybe there's still a bitterness that he was never able to supplant him at 10 :D
One of my favourite rugby games was pulling Carter off who had been punishing England - with England breathing a tangible sigh of relief - only to have Nick come on and continue to decimate them.
Jip good old Os du randt shits and giggles Burger and spies how can spies not be there along side the enforcer and instigator 😂😂😂😂😂 Burger need to be in that team and captain John Smith. Better solution just make is a all bok team save everyone time because 2007 team was incredibly
All Blackd 2011 to 2015 best ever dropped 3 games between 2010 - 2019 (pre semi final 2019). Put into perspective the greatest ever Bok team lost plenty b/w 2019 and 2023 and already lost 2 first year after 2023 final
Yeah we understand that but the Boks have only been to 8 rwc’s winning 4, whereas we (AB’s) have been to ten and only won 3. Let’s give the Boks their rightful flowers. ✌️
No Carter and Nonu feels like some click bait bull $hit. Sorry Nick love you bro, but feels like you’re trying to get a conversation going. McCaw, Carter,Nonu,Cheslin and Habana would be the first 5 to be named for me anyway. 5 🐐’s
Larkham was world class but he wasn't as good as Carter. Also if he put Larkham in why not put in T.Horan who was head and shoulders the best 12 in his time. Fourie was good but I think . Yannick Jauzion was better. As was Conrad smith and Brian o Driscoll.
I like the shout out, Tim Horan ranks as one of my favorite 12s, he would have been retired before Evan's time though. Evans is around 2004-2008 in NZ then harlequinns.
Best team of all time: 1.Os du rant 2.Keven Mealamu 3.Carl Hayman 4.Victor Matfield 5.Sam Whitelock 6.Sir Michael Jones 7.Ardie Savea 8.Jerome Kaino 9.Joost Van der westhuizen 10.Dan Carter 11.Jonah Lomu 12.Ma'a Nonu 13.Brian Lima 14.Rupeni Caucaunibuca 15.Christian Cullen
R u joking No Richie Mcaw and Brian O'Driscoll is outrageous, PSTD Mcaw Sergio Parisse in 6,7,8. Arron smith and DuPont way better than Joost, Also no Habana or Campese is outrageous.
Just an interesting fact Larkham,in his own words, based his game on Henry Honniball. According to me Honniball was better than Larkham. Carter would be my choice. Os is the greatest loosehead of all time. Bismarck du Plessis must be the hooker. Joost van der Westhuizen should be the scrumhalf. Joost and Os inclusion is subject to them playing in Nick's era. Great team though.
What are you taking about? This team is based on who he played with and against. He says in the video he played against Lomu, but it was so late in his career he didn’t put him in. Os was old as well, Bismarck was so young when Nick was still playing Super Rugby, and he never played against Joost.
Quite an interesting selection. All good players within their own right. Let's face it, as brilliant a player Richie was, he was officiated from a completely different set of rules altogether. He got away with murder.
It's players he played against. Brits is seen as one of if not the greatest import player to ever play in premiership so in reality, what the AF are you talking about. Go look at a highlights vid of Brits and and educate yourself. 😅
@@fomofud9479 I thought it was his greatest of all time team. Players he has played with and likes makes more sense. Mate Brits in his prime isn't even a top 5 player in his position for SA.
@dillynlakey6420 well, we'll never know will we. JS should have been a prop from the onset, with Bismark starting and Brits coming on as a super sub. Our results during that period weren't great and Brits would have provided the variation the Boks needed for that era. Instead he was smashing it up in the premiership.
6:25 great question. Everyone knew where the line was and we also knew Richie was well over the line and the refs favoured him. The biggest blight on him and his era of ABs is the simple fact he knew he was getting unfair advantage but he didn’t check himself. Like a kid whose folks cover for him when he steels from the local shop, it’s still stealing and dishonourable.
This whole comment absolutely reeks of copium! Richie pushed the boundaries as all good loosies should! He knew the game better than anyone else! There was no favouritism in the slightest! If he over stepped he got pinged he got carded! Pretending otherwise is just laughable! If he’d have been from any other country he would never be given the crap he cops from randos online! Christ mate genuinely go cry in a corner you are acting like Richie rooted your mrs on tour
