No Closets or Beds in DOORS (Guide) 

If you didn't notice, DV, in the new update, they nerfed Rush's raycasting quite a bit! In the T-shaped room, you don't even need to hide behind an object, just go far enough back! There's a limit to Rush's raycasting. But you should be careful about Ambush though, his raycasting is huuuggeeee

This is also super useful for 12 person doors where oftentimes all of the closets are taken.

I remember DV's first door video when he was struggling to beat rush but now he is able to do a speedrun in the game. He has improved a lot. Great job!

Tip: do you see those carts with the space in the middle? they usually appear infront of beds sometimes but you need to crouch through it at level one. You can use these types of carts and hide behind them, for Rush, it will be easy as his raycasting is nerfed. For Ambush, be extremely careful when positioning, but don't take forever as he comes faster than Rush. If you position correctly, you can hide from Ambush. Also make sure the door is not behind the spot where you are hiding, instead hide on the side of the cart thats not facing the door Rush or Ambush will open. It's quite a sight for Rush and Ambush, but it feels cursed too

Understanding how rush's raycasting works is so much more important than knowing spots as its almost entirely futureproof, thank you so much for this information DV!

I have never had rush in infirmary or courtyard. I have had eyes in both. I also have had a friend be nailed by rush in room 99 with no sound or lights. He got the snare sound then a rush death screen. This happened 2 runs in a row. The hiding spots will help me out so much when I'm playing with other people though. So thank you.

Something this video could have done better at explaining is the fact that entities like Rush also have a hitbox, or a certain range that you have to be within to be able to die. That's why in rooms such as the T-shaped or plus-shaped rooms, you can just hide in one of the corners, although a lot of these spots won't work for Ambush because as far as I know, Ambush has the largest hitbox. Also, for most of the spots shown in the video, crouching makes absolutely no difference. Sometimes it does, but most of the time it doesn't as more than likely the rays check for the HumanoidRootPart (probably, just an educated guess). The only entity safe spots don't work for is A-120, because A-120 travels towards each player, as opposed to charging through the rooms like the other entities do. Besides that, it's a good video.

this is useful for multiplayer when other players use the closets and you dont have one

Inside the room with the glass you need to crawl under if you open the top of the big desk and align yourself perfectly, you can hide

remember that it grants the "hidden in plain sight" badge aswell

10:37 I didn’t know about that spot, but I’ve gone on the other side of the fallen bookshelf right next to the wall and I survived Rush

Theoretically, you can hide in the cabinets in the plantation because they aren't wardrobes, thus this challenge being easier than expected. Just get a candle and it is an easy win.

10:40 you can also hide behind the bookcase that falls down, it worked for me

So Ray Casting is how it is done, I knew ambush was line of site but this actually helped with the others. This will definitely help for no-hiding challenges!

I had a rush in the courtyard when I was doing a no hiding run and I just barely made it to the side as he passes by, so the spot at 14:19 does work for rush and I think ambush as will you just got to be a little further from the gap in the fence

it is 100% possible to hide behind a closet in door 99, my friend was doing a no hiding challenge on super hard mode, and he hid behind a closet knowing he was dead, but he actually survived. And he beat the game, so, ( that was his third time beating it )

you can hide from rush in the "+" room if you dont stand in his way. like not like hiding behind something

At 10:40, you said that you could hide on top of the clock and crouch. Another thing you can do in that room is hiding behind the desk.

Rush is coming ah yes a closet perfect time to hide behind it

Rush does have raycasting but that doesn't mean you do not have to be out of Rush's sight. Rooms like the T shaped room and the + shaped rooms don't require you to stay out of Rush's sight, as long as you are far away from Rush's pathing. Ambush though uses the line of sight method.

I feel like dv is the best at all games

I was trying to die very quickly when I accidentally Enity dodged rush, using snap trap. basically you have to time it perfectly.

I once played with 5 people. One who was a total noobs and kept rushing like rush. A very expierienced guy and 2 noobs who weren't rushing like rush. The rusher went wayyyy ahead and rush spawned. I luckily managed to hide in the basement however my 2 noob friends died. The other expierienced player hid in a safe spot. Sadly the rusher did not die. He kept rushing triggering another rush. Sadly (not) he rushed to far ahead into a room without closets, and he died. the experienced guy just hid in a closet and I hid in a room in the plus shaped room

There is one glich with drawers. You need open all 3 of them and go inside of them. And dont look at rush and most times can survive (no tested with ambush)
