After 20 days of no contact, don’t contact them for whatever reason. Continue no contact. They decided to abandon you and break your heart just because they weren’t getting the bits and pieces that they wanted in a man, and tell you “I’m not ready I’m sorry” instead of talking to you about it and try to work it out. Then a month later they get with another dude knowingly that you’re still in turmoil. So because of this, they don’t deserve to hear from you. If they don’t care that their not going to hear from you again, then that should tell you what kind of partner they are. Know your worth, if you’re treated like one of many options, remove yourself from their equation. Life is too short to be crying over someone that treats you like another bottle of liquor where they just discard you when they can’t get anymore of what they want outta you
begging never works and only empowers a person and makes them feel you will be around no matter what, they will turn you into a doormat. Ignoring always works.
Initial begging actually helps in reattracting the person. Why? Because what it does is, it puts them on a major pedestal and makes them feel incredibly important. Secondly, it gives them overconfidence in thinking they can have you any time they want you. However, if you can then just walk away (and mean it), their sense of importance is suddenly diminished. It also does something else, it makes them respect you for going from such a weak position to such a strong one so quickly. What they start thinking is, 'If that person has instantly forgotten me after begging it so bad, then they must have met someone else -- someone better than me'. Their curiosity starts driving them nuts.

Great video but I'd like to point out that contacting them after 30 days is a big mistake. Most people aren't ready after such a short time. You yourself said it took your ex about 1 month and 3 weeks. You should actually never contact them again. 95% of the time, they will get a hold of you at some point.
Don't fallow this... TheArtOfLove.... you know that contacting them back correctly gets them back, that's what happened with my ex... i dumped her 1 month after but still it works. Contact them after 30 days, and try to keep it casual. like you have 30 days to date and enjoy life in the meantime ^^
you did the absolute right thing! In fact she came back because she wanted to take the power back from you and she could just not accept the fact that you moved on. This is what happens to women that act in such way. Your value with a girl will go straight up when you're no longer easily available. They want a challenge, they will play this manipulation game with you after you fall in love and get close to them, after that, there's nothing more to earn from you cause you're giving away your love so easily. Remain a bit of a challenge and for Gods sake, never ever beg a girl to stay, you'll turn her off even more. Let them go, they'll usually come back but don't just allow her easy access to you all over again, she has to EARN every inch of her way back to you.

When you are truly in love, the games are not really necessary. You reach a point where you don't have to pretend to be less available. You can be vulnerable. Adults in love should be able to grow their love very deep without having to play head games.

Great video but REAL no contact involves never EVER contacting them after "20 days" or however you put it. You are supposed to walk away as if you will never ever speak to them again and move on for YOURSELF. If they contact you one day, then so be it, but contacting them after a few weeks will do absolutely nothing but just give them all the power back yet again. You may get some conversation and even a hangout out of it, but 95% of the time you will not get them back. It must ALWAYS be the dumpers decision to reach out, not the dumpee's.

I have had 3 break ups. These are my experience on how I cop up during No contact :- 1. Listen to songs like "i mean it", "G.O.M.D sickick", "i dont fuck with you", "formidable", "fuck you - lily allen " 2. Listen to these songs right after you wake up. And 3times a day like medicine. 3. Hang out with your friends. Go to party, go to watch movies with your friends. 4. Flirt with new girls, different girls even if you don't feel like it. 5. Don't do one night stand thing. 6. Try to get in a rebound relationship even if you don't feel like dating at all. 7. Absolutely do not listen to love songs and sad love songs. 8. Watch movies , I prefer "horror comedy" and avoid romance genre. I have once even watched 4 movies in a day. 9. Listen to motivational video, and "word porn" , 3 times a day, like medicines. 10. Masturbate at least 1-2 times a day. 11. If you feel like crying, don't be afraid to cry like a baby. 12. Invest yourself in your hobby, i like to draw and learn foreign languages. 13. Your girl is not any precious. She sucks dick like a hoe, masturbates thinking of celebrities and go to toilet and poop like any other normal girls. She is also here to play the game of life. 14. Stay strong in "no contact" no matter what. More you start giving her your attention, more you will be engulfed in your feelings. 15. Start exercising , exercise releases feel good hormones. 16. Talk to your "mom" or "sisters". They are the richest source of oxytocin hormones. 17. Remember that your relationship to your girl is governed by "addiction hormones" and "habit forming hormones + basal ganglia". You can replace your addiction to your girl with another addiction such as playing computer games. You can only break your habits of being in touch with your girls by staying strong in "no contact". 18. Remember that No contact is your best bet. Giving her your attention only makes it worse. Begging her kills your chances absolutely. 19. Write down all the negative points about your Ex. Read it every day. 20. Read books, especially self help books like "think and grow rich". "rich dad, poor dad", "power of habits", "7 habits of highly successful people", etc. Or any other genre you may like. I am in my 9th day into my no contact, and i am doing really good as compared to by first and second break ups.

My boyfriend broke up with me through text after we have been together for two years and a half. I did beg him the day after and I spilled all my feelings and all he said was it's better this way. Sandy I went thru the same thing after 2.5 years she dumped me thru text and got on tinder within one day and got with someone within one week I was so broken inside and I did want her back before I knew what she did but in the end people like this are not worth and it's been two months and it still hurts but it's less and less everyday. My story is about the same. I have been in no contact almost 7 months, she texted me 3 months after no contact about wanting to be friends and I never responded to her. My friends always give me shit about not wanting to talk to her and personally I think that talking to her is not an option anymore. I’m not the type of person who believes that hanging around your ex is a not good thing, because as much as people tell me to move on from what happened, I can’t delete what was already done it will always be there. My way of moving on is not keeping her around me. The problem is that she is still friends with all of my friends. So it’s kinda hard to hang out with my friends because she’s always around. So one day I’ll have to speak to her again, tell her that we can be acquaintances but not friends.

You know I got dumped on new years eve and got sent home after i had travelled 250miles to be with her. She had lost feelings for me because she had met some new guy BUT still she wanted to drag me up 250miles just to "double check" if she had any feelings for me left. That's really fucked up. But you know funny thing is that guy ditched here over another girl some time ago. Well i have kept no contact for 2month soon! Not a word from her, but i would'nt be surprised if she would contact me soon now when it's over with here "new guy". But i would not take her back, i still like here as a person, but i can't really get over that she waited untill fucking NEW YEARS EVE to break up (we had planned what to do like 3months earlier, booked resturant etc etc), i spent most of new years eve in a fucking BUS crying!
Thanks man that means a lot, and when a girl dumps you for another guy it honestly makes everything just hard. It's feels like your insides are being torn apart but you just have to fight threw it. I didn't take her back because I thought about how I've met so met so many different girls who are great and fun to be around I just had to tell myself to let go and trust in what I'm doing but good for you man. If she does come crawling back don't shut her out completely, if she really wants another go at it make one date and see if things can be like they used to. I feel the same way. I was with someone and I tried the no contact rule a couple of times; when we got together and things felt fine for a couple of days next thing i know it was back to nothing. At some point i realized that the no contact rule helped me grow some self respect and I noticed that i was taken for granted. Right now i am about 2-3 weeks NC and i honestly do not care about talking to him. I do think of him but i honestly am better without him.

I came across this video looking for help for my 17 year old son. I know this video was done in 2016, and you are long out of high school, but I wish my son would do this. He is stuck on one girl. Every time he starts talking to someone else, she messes with his head, acts like she is coming back and then when his new relationship has dissolved, she disappears every time. Proud of you dude, to answer some of the comments with this comment, you could follow the rules of no contact to the T, but if she's not really that into you, or her attraction is about a 4 or below on a scale of 1-10. Then more than likely she's not going to facilitate any contact with you ever again. This only works if you just got dumped by a girl who still has attraction to you and still want's to make it work, but if the girl is dead set on not wanting you back, she shows it with her actions. Then you don't have a shot. Learn from the experience and move on. Another thing, I see some of you guys asking if it should be for a week or a month or fuck maybe even 6 months to a year. The point is, you never reach out once she ends things with you. Once she's broken it off with you then you back off 100% and never call her again. Either she's gonna go crazy wondering about you and reach out eventually, or you'll never hear from her again. Best of luck guys
If someone dumps you (if you didn't really cheat or did anything wrong at all), it only shows how unimportant you are for him. You've got to stand strong and show him that you can live without him, that your world doesn't revolve around him. Show him how happy you are just being you and without anyone else. It's gaining back your self-confidence as well. And when he asks you back? I don't that's gonna work. He's just gonna dump you again and play with your emotions.

This video gives me hope. Last semester I was a sophomore, I asked a girl to homecoming and we started talking, we pretty much immediately considered ourselves dating. There weren't any problems with our relationship. Around April 30th I got really depressed and sad randomly and I told her about how I was feeling. Things went downhill. She broke up with me over Skype. We were both crying and I was punching stuff because I was angry and going through a lot. I kept on trying to talk with her for about a month. No improvement, I begged and pleaded a couple nights a week. Every dream I had was with her in it and we made up, I would wake up depressed. She would get angry whenever I tried talking to her during the last month of school. I've started no contact for about a week now, I don't really have a choice since she blocked me on everything. I've felt better about myself, watching RU-vid videos about this stuff really helps, I wish I did it sooner. I hope she'll try to reach out to me, I don't want to seem needy anymore. I'm not very social so I'm probably not going to meet anyone new. It being the summer helps in my opinion, more time for her to think about me and not listen to her toxic friends and more time for me to improve on myself. I'm holding on to the last bit of hope in my heart, hopefully things will improve
No contact means you don't contact them period. She dumped you so she should have to earn you back. If you'd been dating just a few months you'd probably not gotten her back. I think your long term relationship is what helped your case. Also, your young and have your life ahead of you. Don't get hung up on one person. Life goes on even if you don't feel it will. Good job man. I'm proud of you. I'm skeptical if my situation will have any turnaround. We dated 3 years, knew each other 3.5 years, and the last year was very hard. We contributed equally but I feel it was more myself. She had a lot of time going through interviewing and searching for a new job from one she didn't like, and I was trying to escape 2 jobs, 11 months out of 12, where there was terrible management. One job I was with for over 3 years, and the second, 3 months. Had teeth surgery without dental insurance, a car accident, and then no income until my new job started in january (now). We broke up in October, and it was my doing. She chased and tried so hard to win me back, and I was so upset with my situation and feeling sad about us, that I was closed and not nice. I had moments where I didn't say nice things and was so upset and angry at the world and myself. Christmas Day, she decided to tell me to never speak to her again, she deserves better, and to leave her alone. We were a very strong couple even up through the last year, and talked about marriage. Up to a week before Christmas, things were alright but I spouted off and said hurtful things to her the Thursday before. Pretty much begged and cried and asked to work things out for a week. I have since left her alone after the 1st of January. We are both 29 years old. Any thoughts anyone willing to share? Thank you.

I can't wait to see if it works, kind of as an experiment, if she doesn't contact me... I'll be cool. Hey thanks man. Yeah I belong to a certain social circle and so does she... When we first got together I was always around and ignored her. I was the only guy who didn't hit on her... I talked to other girls instead and by the time I finally did talk to her she wanted me bad because I had ignored her. But, then I lost all control and became a beta male in the relationship. Man, I always want to go back because you can see how you messed up in the relationship... but it's hard to see while you're in the "shell" of the relationship.
