Sam Reid has imbued Lestat with an irresistible attractiveness, both physical and, what’s the word...not so much intellectual, rather through his mercurial personality. As genuinely an ice cold monster he is, Sam Reid has presented an extraordinarily complex Lestat, cunning, wiley, merciless, charming as hell, hilarious, a horrible amazing entity that one simply cannot stay away from. What a great show, what a brilliant character!! Much praise to Anne Rice, the AMAZING writers of the series and to Sam Reid for bringing the REAL Lestat to life!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

A commanding presence which people often forget a vampire WOULD have. Like, there was a Victorian character called Varney the Vampire that I always pictured as looking like Lestat and he could basically float outside your window, maybe tapping on it with his nail (very Lestat) and just COMPEL you to open the window, knowing This is how I'm gonna die, huh? But you can't NOT do it because LOOK AT HIM, the GLORY, the GRANDEUR, the SPLENDOUR-

I'm sure there have been much more qualified inquiries proven, but I have mine about Lestat's personality. He is constantly caught between enjoying and destroying everything he may/may not care about without much of a second thought. He just can't seem to anchor himself to anything/anyone being an immortal with an endless bloodlust so he can't help but enjoy himself. I think the only thing he dislikes about Louis is that he constantly defeats himself trying to act "human" despite his tendencies running quite contrary. It's actually quite sad seeing Lestat constantly attempt to attach himself to things and people, but he can't quite get it. Honestly Louis doesn't fair much better in his attempt to be more "noble" in fact becoming quite a hypocrite in the process.

Yes, that bit of dialogue they have about the skirt is brilliant 😂 It makes me laugh so much, and also shows them to be real parents, for me, in that moment.

This is such a good video. Thank you so much for making it! It's perfect!!! Sam IS lestat and him and everyone is so good in this. Shows can be such a hit or miss these days that i almost can't believe how good they did with this one...... I hope season 2 is just as good! It looks it! Thanks again for making this awesome edit!
