Don't do filler..I am a new Aesthetician and I'm 60 years old. Think of your skin as a balloon. A new balloon blows up and looks pretty the first time. Every time you blow up that same balloon it gets more stretched out and it shrinks back to its new normal which is shriveled over time.
Beautiful look. I’m 59 and have never used fake lashes bc I’m afraid I won’t be able to go outside the house without them. I’d prefer natural as that’s how my brain is used to. 😂 You still look 21 btw.. I❤
Sounds like the same as why I avoid filler! That's totally valid. I always love the way they open and lift my eyes, since my natural lashes are so downturned. But I usually only pop them on for special occasions/nights out. Not an everyday thing! There are enough great mascaras that can do it more casually 😆
I just turned 50 and yes, I definitely have changed my makeup techniques lately. And funny thing….I do EXACTLY what you do, for everything lol! You look great, and beautiful, just the way you are. Like I tell my teen daughter all the time…”love yourself just the way you are. There is only one of you, there’s nobody else in the world like you, so you can’t compare yourself to other people. You are you, and you look the way you do, because that’s how you’re supposed to look!” I wish all these people on RU-vid and Instagram could see how awful some of their filler and botox looks. There’s one girl I follow here on RU-vid who is beautiful, but her lips look like they’re going to explode! And I always picture her without those fillers, and she would be even prettier with her natural lip size. 😢 I know most of those people would look better, and younger, without all their fillers
I appreciate it, Alex! My whole message is everyone can do what they wanna do, but it’s important to keep in mind all these changes are normal and nobody NEEDS procedures to flatter their features as they age 💙
You do you girl! You are beautiful just the way you are, and I love (LOVE!) that you are promoting beauty without surgery/procedures. We need more of that in social media!
For me, I don’t want to vilify procedures but I want to put the option out there that making tweaks can help flatter naturally aging features and maybe even eliminate some insecurities!
I just turned 62, and I've changed my makeup techniques dramatically over the years. Overall, just MUCH less makeup, or no makeup at all! I've worked very hard on my skin, using Tretinoin. Any lines I had, especially on my forehead have disappeared. I do agree that the biggest changes happen with the eyes, where I don't wear much eye makeup at all anymore. I really loved what you had to say about lip filler and face dysmorphia. I have noticed some influencers on YT that have very large lips, that are so out of proportion to their other features. I saw my doctor's assistant last week, and she is a lovely young woman. But her lips were very puffy with filler. My husband said, "What is wrong with your doctor's lips?" The amount of filler used these days eliminates any lip lines, which is not the way normal lips look!! I personally don't think it's attractive at all!
This was very well explained. You don't need fillers. Your lips are uniquely yours and not thin at all. They're perfectly fine. It's okay not to be perfect because really there is no such thing. I miss when people overall looked more normal than all the same mannequin look. Variety is the spice of life as the saying goes. ❤
In the end it's everybody's choice but in my opinion, don't do it. I'm about to be 40 in five months and I think I look pretty damn good lol the fact that filler can migrate to other places in the face is just a huge no for me and then the maintenance? Also no thank you. If you do decide to do it, along with everything else, research, research, research 👍 not just about filler but also when looking for a licensed medical professional trained in a certified trained setting. You're beautiful girl!!!! ❤❤❤
100%!!!! Especially with everything coming out now about how it migrates to the rest of the face so everything looks puffy- it makes sense why all these celebs are dissolving it and looking so much healthier now!
Sounds weird.... but "Frownies" absolutely work. I wear them to bed. Beforehand, I had been getting awful headaches in the middle of the night. After wearing them, no more headaches. It's a commitment, though. You need to continue using them. It trains you to pretty much not use your forehead to show expressions. Wish I could post pics on here, because the results were amazing. Full transparency - I also use tretinoin, which I know that helped as well. So I highly recommend trying them if you were on the fence about them. Love your videos, Miranda! ❤ Klarissa
I want filler. I’m 47. Starting to need it. I had oily skin my entire life, so I didn’t age too bad. I just have been putting it off as long as possible. I don’t want migrations problems with filler. The older I am when I get it, the better. Right? I’m taking getting older really bad, mentally. Like, it’s devastating to me.
I don’t think anyone particularly “needs” it. But if you want it, and it’ll make you happy, then it’s your choice! But I have seen a lot of videos about how it doesn’t actually dissolve all the way on its own, just migrates around the face which is why so many people end up being puffy. I think seeing so many people get their filler dissolved recently has swayed me from it as well as what I mention in the video. Have you tweaked your makeup routine and products to see if that can help the issues you don’t like seeing?
@@mistytellsI'm going to be 54 in a couple of months and I wanted filler so badly especially since I've lost a lot of weight cause my face is all loose especially my neck but I've been diligent about doing a morning and nighttime routine and I do a lot of what Miranda does in this video and trust me if I could afford a mini face lift I'd probably do it cause in the past few years my skin has changed drastically I see every fine line and I hate and it's like it gets worse every year. If you haven't tried the new elf soft glam tint,, you should it's only 8$ at Walmart and it works great Hope that helps you a little bit but definitely try all Miranda's tips or tricks
I absolutely understand your issues with aging. It's difficult to age in our country, where older women in movies (who are supposed to be grandmothers) look like they're in their 40's. But, when they really age and are in their 70's, their features look very distorted. I'm 62, and I went through something similar in my late 40's, but I promise it gets better! Hang in there, I know you are a beautiful woman!!❤❤
I’m 50, and I’d much rather get Botox than filler. I think fillers really age women. But botox in the forehead, smile lines, crows feet, can really soften the persons look and makes them look fresh
Filler or no filler, I support anyone who is using make up techniques or medical procedures to feel comfortable and confident it their own skin. We lose collagen, fat, and bone mass in our face overtime, so some fillers are just used to replace the volume loss that occurs naturally. I respect everyone’s’ choices because it is their body!
You were born unique, so please don't become a clone! So many women of all ages are all starting to look alike because of fillers and plastic surgery. I love the bump on your nose - very Romanesque and regal.
Hi gorgeous Miranda 😍. Everything you've done I'm going to try being almost 54. I love the elf soft glam. I used to be a full coverage kind of girlie but I just can't do that anymore As far as eyebrows go I think from waxing them my whole life I hardly have brows but I love your technique and same with eyeshadows,, I used to bring it all the way in but now I leave that open space and lastly I have a lot of the nyx butter glosses that I love. I can't wear those matte lipsticks anymore. This was a great video ❤ Guys please click the like button and subscribe because Miranda is the absolute best when it comes to budget beauty and she's so relatable and has an awesome personality and I promise you won't be disappointed 😊
It bothers me when people leave comments like that. Your lips are beautiful! You don’t need filler and idk why someone needs to point out that they think your lips are thin. Also I’m with you on the gloss train!! I’ve also been gravitating towards moisturizing lipsticks. I recently discovered the covergirl simply ageless lipstick and I’ve been loving it.
I am now 59 and like you, I don’t wear quite as dramatic makeup as I once did on the daily. I’ve also learned who I am and what things I like and don’t follow the latest trends in beauty products, hairstyles or clothing as I did when I was younger.
Tati has thin lips and she doesn’t feel the need for filler. That commenter has filler blindness. Lip filler trend has gotten out of hand, young ladies with filler migrating upward giving the hilarious duck lips. I miss the days of the 90’s supermodels, most had thin to average lips….yet these ladies were uniquely gorgeous!
I'm literally about to turn 43 in just a few hours. When I was younger, like teens, we didn't have concealer. Or I didn't know about it. I just used foundation to spot conceal and go over my entire face with Covergirl powder foundation. That's just how we did things. Our triangle puff were actually the puff that came in our compacts. We never used sponges or brushes. We used our fingers. I hated it. Talk about breakouts!!! Ugh. So I used qtips to apply foundation (concealer). Today I don't wear primers or foundation of any kind. I still have a baby face like you do. You look like you're still 16. ❤ but I wear minimal makeup. I wear mascara, eyeshadow, blush, bronzer, highlighter, and brow pencil. Lip balm. Either way you still look amazing. I love your personality and spirit. That sassy style ❤. Even tho I'm turning 43 soon I still feel young like 20s. Mentally, not so much physically. Anyway back to the video. 😊
Beautiful look. I’m almost 69 and I feel my lips look pretty good, i have always used some type of lip treatment at bedtime, my favorite is Lawless Forget the filler lip treatment, in the little pot, it is amazing, I even think my lips look a little fuller. Have a great week 💕💕
I was shocked when i found out how many people get fillers! My mom used to get Botox and stopped when she could no longer afford it. In conjunction with losing weight and discontinuing Botox, her face has aged exponentially. So I agree, no fillers. Even though I'd love for my lips to be a tad bit bigger! I guess I'll settle for natural little lips! Good for you for not getting on the filler train. And I also agree on laying off on fuller coverage foundations.... my pores hate it! I go for super light coverage foundations.
Have you experimented with lip liner? I find a good lip liner + gloss combo can give the appearance of fuller lips/softer lip lines without the needle!
Great tips I am going to try! I love how you explain why and what of it 😊 I find my skins texture has changed, I wear less makeup at 46 but i look for hydrating products and stick to cream and liquids for my face, I dont use a powder for anything other then a quick set before I mist it with a finishing spray.
New sub here I think your beautiful the way you are but if you ever feel you want filler that's your choice. I'm 60 yrs young and have definitely changed my make up routine and I agree that less can be more I love a good light foundation I've been using the new elf one and I love it, but what I really want to say is that as women we should be lifting each other up and being supportive theirs enough negativity in the world so stay true to who you are. God bless❤❤
So true Gina! That's why I mentioned it's everyone's choice whether to get filler or procedures done-- it's just not for me and I wanted to share this for others who are also making that choice.
@@slashedbeauty well, to me you are beautiful 😍 I'm glad you haven't done anything to your face 😍. I'm not judging people who do, I just feel kind of sorry and wish everyone could embrace what they are and others don't judge 😉
No thanks! Those techniques make my brows look lower, my eyes look sunken in, and my cheeks drawn down now. This routine makes me really happy with my features and how they are accentuated 😊
@@slashedbeautyyou’re absolutely correct. You looked beautiful in your younger pictures, and you look beautiful now! This person who commented this is awful. Why would someone say something like that? Ugh yuck 🤮. What it boils down to, is wearing whatever makes YOU comfortable and confident 😊
