The funny thing is, is that if you step down off the platform you can record exactly the same thing only from a slightly lower height. Jobsworths the lots of em !
The fact that the security "guards" have body-cams sets the precedent that permits filming. We do not have different rules for different people in the UK.
Manchester Metrolink is publicly funded but contracted to be run by a private company….SO PUBLIC Byelaw 10c) NO Person shall: -use any radio, audio or video equipment in a manner which may cause nuisance… the only people causing a nuisance were the security fools (one of which looks like they should still be in school).
@@lmd1752 Oh, so after the staff abused them and ignored the law and misused their authority, the proper thing is to say "sorry sir, three bags full sir". Fuck off. The way to fight back is to be assertive. If you see that as abuse, then you are a snowflake.
Metrolink bylaw does not state you cannot video but actually says 'c) use any radio, audio or video equipment in a manner which may cause nuisance or give reasonable grounds for annoyance to any other Person on the System. So the security are miss representing the bylaw.
I had a handcuffed ride in the cage of one of those vans recently, you aren't strapped in so you get properly banged about when they're swerving around.
Bylaw 10.......... *c) use any radio, audio or video equipment in a manner which may cause nuisance or give reasonable grounds for annoyance to any other Person on the System;* So they are twisting the bylaw so no one can record at all, ever even though it states..."in a manner which may cause"
It really is the height of stupidity; you can wander round an ammunition site with minimum confrontation but film in a very open public area deemed subject to private petty bylaws and the security are in overdrive- this private property business goes too far. Go on Marti, tell 'em to fooking do one.👍👊
Many people engage in normative activities such as filming only to be treated as if they are criminals. Most of them do not mean any harm and yet they are told that they are engaging in activity which is not lawful.
Metrolink is owned by TfGM but it’s operated by Keolis/Amey. The funding for Transport For Greater Manchester is by a Council Tax levy and other funding arraignments ie revenue from fares.
@@micjubba709 There is a prevailing attitude amongst the vast majority of people that just because they speak they are to be believed. These lying pieces of filth are not even ashamed of telling lies. Dishonest to the core. I always insist on evidence, and never move away from insisting upon evidence before I believe people
@@collincovid6950 totally agree thats my beliefs aswell..like alot of other men and women alike minded we all sick of this dictorship society we live in now with these clowns and police think they are authority over anyone else abusing powers and order us around like we thier slaves lol its not happening like
The way the police drove at speed onto the public footpath was careless, just a few feet from the two guys about to cross. if you did the same youd be arested for dangerous driving.
“I’m trying to help people” said the no-powers security guy. I’m sure Josef Mengel thought he was helping people too. I don’t think he rocked a snood tho.
@@walterhess8147 but by that rational, you can’t believe anything that is written or anything anybody tells you, as they may be lying. Therefore, the only truth is anything you witness (and you can’t tell anybody, as they may think your lying). O, and there’s no law that forces media outlets to tell the ‘truth’.
Give em a yellow vest & they turn into Robocop & Rambo combined. These mutts don’t have the authority to direct you to a toilet, let alone remove you from public property 😂
I saw the short haired woman and she helped and spoke to me as the trams were not wearing she is a nice woman just sticking up for her colleague most of them are
They certainly are making fools of themselves aren’t they, is taking a photograph or taking a video such a big deal to security of these public places. They seem to think that you are breaking non existent laws on the platform. I’m not sure what the by laws say but I very much doubt that it interprets they way those clowns acted towards you. Stay safe Marti.
I've just read the bylaws and conditions of carriage pertaining to these goons and there are no restrictions on photography. I might just complain. Like I did about Simon the aggressive security guard at Haven in Blackpool in UK Meet the Tyrants' video.
@@QQ_241 o touché., allow me to retort. I’m sorry I thought I was talking to 12 year old. However, it now appears I have erred. Please accept my apologies, I can’t be easy being.., well.......hard of thinking and having to ride to special bus. But I bet all your windows are clean.. chin up.
You need to really start trolling these jobsworths by saying stuff like: "Have we had reason to speak to you before or "Have you been in trouble with the Public before?" and "Why are you shaking"??
Martin, I hope you had a word with that guy, and gave him some advise on pressing charges for assault, abuse of powers and wrongful arrest. Keep up the great work.
Having just read Metrolink's Bye Laws and Conditions Of Carriage I'm b*****ed if I can find anything that prohibits taking photos/videos etc. So if told by one of these muppetts that you can't, ask them to tell you which bye law it is. Should be funny that!
Section 10(c) of the Metrolink bylaws. There's also section 60 of the Greater Manchester Act 1981 which bans photography as a trade except journalism is allowed, and personal use filming is not banned either. TFGM also have a web page about commercial filming requiring permission, but that's for film making, not vlogging
It's weird how they make a big deal out of it, like their boss is going to bum them or something if they don't get you to stop filming.... Their boss wouldn't even know you're there filming or the owners of the metro link probably don't even know or care that you're there.... it's just weird how they go about doing this like it's a big deal or something...
Someone needs to tell them the metro's not running for three weeks due to engineering works. A bus service is being provided. That's why you didn't see any trams !!

Look at PO they drove up onto a kerb, kicked a man to the kerb, then let him go after assaulting & arresting him. they reversed into a main road, and nearly had their doors taken off by a tram! Manchester PO : SHITE!
Even if there was a bye-law that said 'you couldn't film in a certain public place' (blah blah blah), it wouldn't be enforcible anyway! - Everyone should go on these platforms, and film all the day long! hahahahah! What a set of muppets!
I just cannot believe that state of this country. Why are the Metrolink staff arguing the toss over something so minor. They either don’t have anything better to do or just being pompous prats. I wonder if the mother of the young Metrolink member of staff knows that he is out. 🤔
@@chrisP_wheats_and_raisins … yes I know … it’s despicable. There are more important things for them to do than whine about someone taking a video or photos. Makes them look like idiots.
No need to be so aggressive, that young man was just doing his job,he didn't need to be spoken to like that he was civil with you ,you should of acted civil with him
They put on a uniform, it’s not by chance it’s familiar uniform to a police uniform just so people tend to do what they say but in actual fact they could be dressed as noddy they are that useful and knowledgeable. Hope they learnt something that day
It’s actually in their policies that anyone can record so long as you’re not creating a disturbance with other members of the public. They don’t have leg to stand on.
