This might be weird to hear, but I’m so happy to see an Asian makeup influencer who doesn’t have super fair skin! I also have a bit of a tan, and it’s been so so helpful to see what shade of products work with me
I've just started going foundation free, it is scary at first because my skin has a lot of imperfections, i used to hide it and use foundation everyday, but i realized it will only get worse if i don't let it breathe. So, i decided to cut it off. i learned how to embrace my skin and now i feel comfortable going out without makeup on.
There’s no such thing like letting it breathe - if you take off your makeup at the end of the day and cleanse really well, your skin should be totally okay with regularity wearing makeup :) Happy you are now confident enough to go foundation free! :)
I can relate .During my years of struggle with horrible acne and scars that wouldn't go for months ,insecurities got into me and I reached a point where I was distressed about going infront of my own family members with my bare face. However, alot of self reflection and religiously taking care of my skin with the right products transformed my skin. Hence, now makeup for me is about enhancing my features and not hiding them . 🙂
You know I have 2 scars on my face (one of them was from a blue naevus that i had done remove and people were bullying me like so hard about it), i don't have acne at all but my scars are visible and you know what, I still love myself and the person that i love finds me pretty too. Dealing with skin problems is very hard especially when you are a women i know how you feel and you should totally be unapologetic about your skin, it's a whole process, it takes time but i promise you you'll get there. As what i see you are gorgeous and you should not be worried about your skin problems, it's normal don't feel guilty about it
I love how she actually shows her imperfections when she says no one is perfect, unlike other youtubers who over use filters and photoshop to cover up imperfections on their bare face.
"Heyitsfeiii" is another RU-vidr who used to have a really inflamed skin with acne and imperfections. She has since cleared her skin and lost weight as well! She's hilarious and so casual. She does haul for big-chested (shorter and chubbier) girls as well! ^^
@@Bunni6006 a few dried up spots on her forehead is easy to cover. This tutorial will not work on people who actually have acne on their cheeks, chin, etc.
@@eunhachoi8100 agreed that that's the intention of this tutorial, but a person with actual acne and acne scars following this tutorial will not look like she does at the end. So how are they supposed to look polished?
@@laica8600 you gotta use concealer or foundation 2 shades darker than your skin tone on your pimples or bruises and layer over brighter foundation color you want over it
I was made to feel like I was too ugly without makeup by my older sister when I was a teenager. I feel like after lockdown I got used to seeing my skin again and loving it! So this is totally a tutorial to follow.
The lockdown did it for me too. I can’t believe how much make up I used to use! A bottle of foundation a month!!!!! Love yourself ladies! It’s the first step to a radiant glow.
You are beautifuly and wonderfully made in God’s image. Yahushua (Jesus) loves you and cares about you. Find your worth and indentity in him alone then you won’t care what anyone else thinks or says about you. ✝️💜 John 3:16, John 14:6, Ephesians 2:8-10, Matthew 11:28-30
Just discovered this series and love it! I'm always searching for makeup looks without foundation, without false lashes, it seems everyone is so focused on those looks nowadays and for those of us who love makeup and want to play with it but don't want to go that heavy/'perfecting'/masking route, there's comparatively so much less content. :( I especially love how your camera/lighting actually shows texture in your skin as we would see it in our mirrors, and that with 'imperfections' you are so beautiful regardless! I have problematic skin (acne/blemishes) and also live in a hot/humid climate, so I prefer to avoid heavy, skin-covering makeup. I find this incredibly inspiring and comforting - I really hope you make more content like this! I'm SO here for it!! xx
I love you haley!! You're a huge inspiration. Growing up in the Philippines, I spent quite a chunk of my life trying to achieve lighter skin.. but your channel has showed me to embrace my own color. Thank you
@@fieldsofwilddaisys9979 That's not the point. No one's gonna force them not to do it. It's the bad looks of like cakeing your face and the reason why they feel they need to it that is bothering.
@@noshet786 And that's awesome I do it too because it looks great on camera. But there are many women, who will not leave the house in any kind of make up unless it's full face coverage foundation. It's very alarming what makes them feel obligated to do that. Double beauty standards and misogyny is my guess.
This was so helpful and beginner-friendly! The whole point of the existence of the ''no makeup, makeup look'' is so that we can embrace our natural features and insecurities. We can cover up our blemishes, acne and pimples and all, but we shouldn't change much of how we look. Love yourself and God bless xx
I’ve always been foundation free cause I’ve never liked how it feels on my skin, like a mask ew.. and I really appreciate actual tips how to look good all natural !!!
this is my everyday makeup routine but without bronzer and i’m glad that someone made a video about foundation free makeup which is really rare thank u ❤️
i was hoping to see this video from you ! i love how you rarely use foundation, this look is so pretty on you. also, thank you for using your platform for good ! not only promoting appreciating your natural features, but also donating to black lives matter 💞💞💞
I never used foundation ever and always used your method! I'm glad that now more people will go without foundation because I feel like it's just putting a mask on your skin and doing nothing good for it, hiding it and supporting pimples and irritations
Thank you SO MUCH for this! I have searched so many tutorials and nobody does simple, easy makeup like you do. It looks gorgeous, and it won't be too expensive or time-consuming for me to do. You're a life-saver!
Thank you for sharing this Haley, it’s so lovely see how a little can go a long way when it comes making your complexion look healthier without having to cover it up! I’ve stopped wearing any makeup altogether since the beginning of quarantine but what I normally do for short trips out is just take a matte lipstick and dot it on my cheeks and lips and blending it out for a flush of colour. I also bought glossier’s dusk after watching your videos and just use that! It’s so beautiful! Please keep posting more videos from these series, you’re inspiring so many of us around the world :)
I am so glad to hear Su-Yi and so proud of you!! thank you for letting me be a part of your journey and being an inspiration for others in this community as well
You have inspired me to ditch the full coverage foundation, I just wear a light tint when I need to. Or just bare faced (with sunscreen) on most days. Wearing as little make-up as possible is more hygienic too, especially when wearing a face covering.
I have been foundation free for 2years now... I am using only sunscreen, eye cream and a face mist overall as an everyday routine, a hint of blush and highlighter sometimes.... plus drinking celery juice every morning has helped my skin feel radiant and I don't get acne at all... Though I have large pores, I don't worry like I used to before and I am so happy to have reached this point..
U inspired me! I went thru 2 major skin breakouts and it took a lot of time to heal from them. I am still in the process of recovering tho. I really hope my skin would get better someday... @_@
I really love videos that focuses on enhancing our own natural features, not on changing the way our faces look. I have learned so much in this video! ❤️
Thank you so much for this! I’ve been spending the whole entire year improving my skin care routine, rather than caking makeup on hoping it would fix the problem. My skin has improved greatly and I do still have breakouts but.... this makeup routine compliments your natural skin. I get more compliments wearing this than wearing foundation, etc. Im not worrying about covering up my imperfections anymore. Not to say wearing makeup is unattractive, everyone needs to find their balance and I’ve found mine! Keep giving those the courage to do this! You are amazing!
This is probably the most helpful tutorial I've ever seen as a beginner. Even moreso than ones intended for beginners, because you can _really_ clearly see what each product does. Also, not using like 500 different brushes etc
Nah she clearly has acne on her forehand and uneven skin tones ( natural for everyone to have), so I think this is quite realistic and useful for all of us!
For the first time I have watched some make up tutorial till the end without skipping. Thanks for this tutorial. I am a newbie though I’m 32 now . I am fool when it comes to make up also I never use foundation. This so so great 👌🙏🏻
Wow! I have 0 experience with makeup and have felt intimidated by it for so long. I finally feel like I can try out a few things. This video was perfect for me! Thank you!
you really have the best tips i was looking for, i do also have dark circles and was desesperatly trying to find a proper way to cover it, but now seeing your video i just realized that i don't have to cover absolutely everything or i won't even look human. it's just that everyone seemed to not have them, and it was freaking me out
Thanks to youtube for recommending me this video. I really wanted to see a video where no foundation is used because foundation doesn't suit me I mean nothing suits me whenever I apply any cream it makes me look sick so I have to apply nothing but moisturizer. So thanks for it I am gonna try it. ❤️
This is so extremely helpful to me bc I’m not rlly good at makeup nor do i want to make a big deal about it and keep it simple bc I don’t have anyone with similar skin like mine. This helps me a lot ty
I know that foundation is really harsh on our skin and I always felt insecure because of my acne and pimples so I started using foundation and heavy makeup after that I Iearned my lesson now I don't use foundation and I take care of my skin and I'm good now I have self confidence I love the way I am ✨ my story and I also want to say don't be insecure of urself ur beautiful af ✨💗
Beautiful hailey! ❤ u are so inspiring and have encouraged me and other people to go foundatiom free! As a result, i hv been breaking out a lot less, thank you❤❤❤.I just wanted you to know that half a teaspoon of sunscreen is required for the whole face(for it to be effective and get the spf protection mentioned on the tube/container) Applying the right amount of sunscreen has drastically improved my hiperpigmentation.
I am still a teen and where a lot of my friends wear a lot of foundation, when I see my face with only concealer I surprisingly think I look more ugly which is very ironic because makeup should be use as a tool which accentuates my beauty....(or I am really bad at applying concealer lmao XD?) Definitely Skincare is everything I need :)
I'm also a teen and I bought a concealer for the first time. I was super excited to try it and when I put it on I decided I'd be better off with just some moisturizer and sunscreen 😄
I find the more concealer and foundation I use I have to compensate with more bronzer, blush, highlight etc because the fuller coverage can make your face look flat and a little lifeless. I end up wearing like a thick mask so I just prefer tinted moisturisers for day to day :)
I’m 19 and I still can’t make concealer look good on my face. I’ve only used concealer for like 2 times and both of the time I feel like the areas looked caked and gross. I’ve never used a concealer ever since.
I don’t like my huge dark circles but when ever I have concealer it looks weird as hell lmao. I end up having to do my whole face so it can look okay idk why???
This video is unbelievable! with every product I think its useless but once you apply it I look like this 0.0 ! you're amazing and I really love the final look!
Haley, I really appreciate your videos and love the "less is more" approach. But as an oily-skinned girl, my makeup breaks up partway through the day no matter what budge-proof concealer or setting spray I use. Could you make a video about how to touch up during the day without taking everything off and starting over?
Love this. I hate wearing foundation because it feels really stuffy on my face and I tend ti have bad reactions to it, I also prefer light make up because I don't like how I look with makeup and i find it actually distressing when i wear heavier makeup because I can't recognize myself. This is perfect for me!
Yes please!!! All the influencers have the makeup tutorials thinking every person covers their full face whenever they’re doing makeup!! I’ve never used foundation my whole life. It makes your face looks weird, fake and the lack of color variation is a big given and a no-no. Thank you for this!
Wow finally I found a beauty blogger, who show the make up without foundation. Moreover she explain how to make up as if my elder sister teaches me how to do it and even how it will effect to my skin 😍😍😍
Apart of your make up tutorials, your English have been improved a lot🥰 I love watching your video and love when you speaks English. Always support❤️ You’re so gorgeous!!
I loved it!! I hate using foundation, it feels too much and heavy, almost like my skin can't breath and I have really severe acne (although I take care reall well) and putting a foundation worry me it is gonna make it worse! So I really love natural makeup and this is just perfect 🥰🥰
love this idea. my skin is not perfect, and has never been perfect - so why strive for perfection? much like you i just hide some discoloration round my eyes and chin. my dark spots can shine through, it’s normal and fine! glad that we’re coming to a trend that’s allowing us to love our features - “flaws” and all!
Drinking water, not touching acne, eating mostly healthy and above all a goodnight beauty sleep. No foundation and no concealer. Just me and my clear skin with some few visible pores (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
therefor i conclude that this video is about promoting to love your own skin and let the world know that you are still beautiful with or without blemishes/make up on. SARANGHAE EUNNIE❤
I have pretty bad skin and have always been insecure about it. Ever since I started watching your videos I feel more confident in my skin and have been enjoying doing my make up more ❤️ wearing less has also been saving me time and money on make up products!
My skin is even more textured. Thus i use concealer in my videos here on RU-vid. But after seeing you use the color corrector palette, i might give it a try too.
You are just the kind of RU-vidr I was searching for. You make looks that aren't too OTT which is the look I want but I couldn't find anyone! Thank god RU-vid recommend me your channel. I'm so happy I found it!😊
I have been doinf the exact same routine for months now, I'm even using some of the same products. I feel like it cleared my skin and I am getting less spots/pimples. It also made me way more confident bc I don't have to worry about my face looking weird or cake during the day and I feel so much better :) Also, I'm saving money and less products is always a win for me!
