The police in and around Quirino are corrupt so the gang doesn't' have too much to worry about. But there is somebody else, who is hunting down the gang bosses like Jo-Jo: Peter is the most successful bounty hunter in the Philippines. What that gang really needs is a good dental plan.

Let me be clear, my intent isn’t to rip apart and put down this production or those behind the making of it. Rather than challenging the quality of the film or that of the film-makers, what I am questioning is the classification of this production as “documentary. I am a Filipino-American, fluent in English and Tagalog, and found myself to have an interesting perspective with this particular episode. Many times, there is no direct translation from Tagalog to English and a rough translation is as good as it’s going to get. (For example, you know that weird eye gunk we all have had to deal with, typically when first waking up. Well those eye boogers or crusteez or whatever we call them has a specific name in Tagalog, muta.) Back to my point, while listening to what was actually being said in Tagalog and comparing it to the English translation, what was presented wasn’t a rough translation by any stretch but a complete fictitious yet creative means to push a story or message convenient to the film-maker. Changing the words of the people you are highlighting in your documentary made me lose all faith of credibility in authenticity. Where do you draw the line of what is real and what you the film-maker imagined and want to be real. Is that really what they said? Are those really people from that area and not actors? Do these problems really exist? So not going down that wormhole, I hope you see my point. Life in the Philippines is definitely hard, different, and interesting enough without having to jazz things up. Just tell it how it is. So, I commend you on your Fiction Docudrama, and if that was the production type you were aiming for, then label it that way. Maraming salamat po sa mga nagbabasa yun komento ko. I grew up in quirino district of quezon city, but moved out to paranaque from there in 1974. Used to be a safe quiet place to live , go to school rear a family. I learned that most of the tough guys in our neighborhood are dead.

As soon as he said we're the most powerful gang and scrolled out of a box.. I came straight to the comments.. and I'm glad i did.. I was not disappointed 😂you guy's are gold 👍

I would have to be very cynical and say that if this is authentic, I find it strange that the gang boss or the bounty Hunter would reveal their faces in a documentary.

where there is poverty there is crime. so sad to see my people going through life this way. sleeping on cardboard in makeshift homes. I am so thankful for what I have in life, its not much but its a whole other world most of my people will never experience. Humbling to see this doc. reminding us no matter what we have someone always has less. I hope we can towards a better tomorrow in the Philippines.

What amazes me is that the foreign crew who made the production video managed to find,identify and filmed the members of the gangs. He also stated that everyone including women are dealing with drugs. The Philippine authorities seemed to have difficulty in finding these gang members but this production crew managed access to everything including their secret meetings. I suspect this was staged and they hired normal innocent people ( who are not gang members) to represent what is happening in that area based on police reports and local media coverage.

Imagine going on a police raid. In flipflops.

The real gangsters are living the life in Manila, mansion and fast cars. Duh.
