Exactly. More importantly, those grails will eventually be unwearable with age and will only be mantle pieces. Most hypebeasts probably don’t wear their grails anyway. It’s more important to be seen wearing them, than just wearing them…

They are re-retroing grails for numerous reasons…. 1. Sneaker collecting is getting stale…need to create a buzz 2. The shoes re-releasing have all pretty much expired. I dont know why people are freaking out, we paid what we paid for our grails because they were our grails, it doesn’t minimize what they meant to us when we paid however much to get them at the time just because now they are getting retrod. If I love them enough to pay multiple thousands for a specific pair then guess what I’m doing when they get GR’d I’m buying a few pairs to beat. Perfect example, chunky dunky is a shoe I love and I paid over 1k for them happily and if they retro them I’ll buy multiple and beat them more instead of only pulling them out once a year.

Went to a local vintage & sneaker pop up a few weeks ago. Saw a 20 something buy a Wutang shirt I use to wear in highschool for 40 bucks. Asked him what his favorite song was and he didn't even know who they were lol. Hope Nike re-releases ALLLLLLLL the grails. Why let some hype head back door and influence resell prices.

Keep in mind that the biggest buyer of Retro's Nike is Gen X, Y. Resellers are making a killing Gen X, Y So Nike is about to cut out the middle man. Nike is all about creating share holder value , which means cutting out the resellers. We are going into sad times

There is something sexy about a shoe not being obtainable. I aint gonna lie.. its not bad for Nike tbh. But I do think that Nike prefers people to wear the shoes instead of just collecting them. Nd thats why they are re-releasing lots of shoes people actually want. Dont think it will be a massive GR tho. It will still be on the limited side of things but def not 100 pairs.
