Caesar had every right to be pissed off during this scene. He cut these humans TONS of slack and them do their work even tho it didn’t benefit him in any way because he had mercy on them. Plus he was already facing pressure from the other apes by trusting them so much, and they broke that trust! Brought in guns after he was very clear not to, and on top of that THREATENED his family. And Malcom had the audacity to tell Caesar to stop when he lost his cool. I was 100% rooting for the apes this whole freaking movie and didn’t care if humanity went extinct lol
Such a tragic scene. They were so so close to forming a human and ape cooperative and building a better world together. All it took was one gun and a rash decision to screw it all up.
@@axelramirez6730 That “monkey” had control over the entire situation and they are only there because Caesar allowed them to be. By bringing a gun in after he told him not to he not only endangered his own life but the lives of his fellow comrades. Caesar has infinitely more braincells than that guy ever will. 💀💀
The fact that Cesar didn’t harm any of the humans, due to the fact that one of them brought a gun and threatened the apes. Just shows how much more intelligent the apes are than humans
Malcolm said “ I didn’t know “ which shows that he and perhaps others did not no know that the man had a gun and besides he should’ve just remove the baby monkey carefully instead of harming the poor baby and blue eyes.
It's funny this film was released the same summer as Transformers: Age of Extinction because I found that Caesar and Optimus had similar personalities. Mistrustful of Humans, but maintained some level empathy for them because of past experience with them. Optimus with Sam; Caesar with Will.
@@Rex67Diego9 i'm offended too... Caesar is the best fictional (but at the same time possible) creature i've ever seen on any cinematic product, it's a 5'75ft tall bipedal chimpanzee that can use tactics and guns, it's the coolest thing i've ever seen on screen
He was the only one who could work on the dam, that was the point. They kicked him out after this because they’d already gotten enough of what they needed from him and had the Apes backing them up afterwards.
What really pisses me off about this scene is when Malcom yells at Caesar and tells him “NO!” when he’s about to kill the scumbag who snuck a gun in and threatened his family. It wasn’t like a pleading for mercy “no” either, or trying to appeal to his better nature. It was like someone telling their dog to heal for snapping at someone else, as if Malcom suddenly treats Caesar like an animal he has control over for protecting his family. Not to mention Malcom has zero control over the situation and is at Caesar’s mercy so he really can’t make demands or control Caesar by simply telling him “NO!” Caesar does stop tho, but quickly reminds Malcom that he isn’t a dumb animal and that they are only there because he allows them to be.
When he says "No" to Caesar, I always wondered if it was a slight reference to the old films. No was the first word an ape ever said to a human (the word that had been said to him time and time again by humans), and in Battle for the Planet of the Apes humans are banned from saying no to apes.
It doesn’t fall into the movie very well but it wasn’t until recently that I found out how terribly violent and unpredictable real chimpanzees. just in this scene it showed how helpless humans are in physical confrontation against them. The dude that brought the gun might of had some very traumatizing encounters that triggered his panic
I finally noticed that Caesar wasn't just trying to kill for no reason but because that dude grabbed the gun and trying to kill blue eyes after Caesar told him no guns Ceasar was trying to be protective
Panicking, voice level gets raised and the tone drops It’s an instinctual response to a dangerous situation to try and get the other party to listen, instead of attacking. Basically the human version of a roar to try and bluff the target into thinking your more dangerous than you appear
@@Chocobear555 there's always gotta be an asshole in these types of stories. And while I feel you kind of *_have_* to have someone like that in here, he was still too much of a dick and therefore, deserved his comeuppance.
Man Carter just fucked everything up. They were only there because Caeser allowed them to be, and on the condition that they brought no guns. Once the gun was found, he could have been honest and said he only brought it in case they needed it or smth (even if that was a lie but you get the point). But no, he threatens to shoot Caesers own son. On top of that, as another commenter pointed out, when Malcom told Caser no, he said it as though he was calling a dog to heal, rather than begging mercy from someone in the position of power and who was morally right in the situation.
Legitimately how did Carver survive the collapse of humanity? He was a nervous wreck, acted on impulse and fear. He was an absolute liability to everyone around his. He nearly doomed his entire community cause of this.
After that first hiccup, I don't understand why they brought that guy with them. He's way too jumpy. This is the second time he put his team in danger.
Had he been left with the others at the base, he may have tried (and succeeded) at convincing them to just invade and not wait the 3 days. By taking him, they could keep an eye on him
What the fuck the whole story line got screwed because that one guy picked up a gun cuz then koba finds out flips out on Caesar who then kicks kobas ass and the koba shoots Caesar
I am so damn disappointed they didn’t put the beat down on that guy, he shot ash earlier and now he threatens both of Caesar’s kids, I was really hoping he got a proper beat down by the man himself, Caesar has shit tons of patience for not turning him into road kill
There is a caterpillar hatch from an egg a caterpillar eats leaves a caterpillar has spikes then became a chrysalis the chrysalis is opening it is a butterfly inside there's a butterfly coming out then the butterfly flies away
Well, Blue Eyes is the heir to the ape kingdom. I imagine Caesar takes him along with everything he does so he can learn all he must do so he is ready for when it's his time to ascend to the throne. Sadly the next movie robs both Caesar and us of that moment, but that's my theory (and also I think it's part of a description on a page of the Planet of the apes wiki fandom page).
