My best friend, Michelle Garcia, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in January. From the beginning, hair loss was in question as it normally is for a cancer patient undergoing chemo. I made a plan with her... If she started to lose her hair and chose to cut it all off then I would do the same so that she wouldn't have to do it alone. After several weeks of chemo, she started to realize that she was losing her hair and this took a huge toll on her so she decided to cut it all off. This was the day! We went to J. Russell and the guys there helped to make this such a memorable event for her. We can't thank them enough!
Michelle is going strong and fighting with all of her might. She is the most amazing person and I am so happy that she was brought into my life.
Please, send her your prayers!
For those that are also fighting cancer, you should keep in mind that hair is just hair. You can always grow it back and it is a very small price to pay to have your life saved. You are beautiful inside and out... so flaunt that beautiful, bald head of yours ;)
"I have never felt more beautiful than I do today." --Michelle Garcia
