I have always been able to find lots of things I want to order, but lately, as I look through the catalogue there are fewer and fewer things that interest me. And, with the increases in pricing I think a lot of us are going to start looking at alternatives to Stampin Up. I will stick with their cardstock because it is excellent quality but I WISH they would offer more choices in the 12 x 12. They used to do seasonal packs so that we could get more of a single colour but that’s long gone. Buying the 12 x 12 in each colour grouping doesn’t give you enough sheets. I am also disappointed with the stamp set collections lately. We need sets that are more generic and not linked with die sets.
I agree with you. I feel like we are getting more intricate stamps that need coloring, which I’m not a fan of. Like you, I will continue to order my favorite card stock colors and inks.
I am so disappointed in the new catalog coming out! Not a lot to choose from on the on-line exclusives for Halloween or Thanksgiving. No DSP for Halloween. I create a lot of 3D projects for shut-ins at our church and family members. Not having the section of the catalog at a glance is disappointing too! The print is so small for us "maturing" people! :) It's hard to find things in the catalog with the way they are doing it now. Trying to be patient as SU is making all these changes, but WOW!
@@CarrieRay I am more unhappy about the layout than the products but I totally understand. I personally love the Christmas stuff but as i said in the video, I am a Christmas fanatic!
Great idea to share that info about Halloween dsp, etc. I am not a big fan of Halloween. Have made scrapbook pages of grandson in his costume, but that’s about it. Love, love that vintage look paper you talked about. Honestly, I found more products to love than I had expected. Some gorgeous ribbon and embellishments as well. Also love the fall suite you mentioned. Thanks again for this info!
I totally agree with you on all the points you made, especially the catalog at a glance section. I don’t like the new annual catalog, nor this new mini that is coming out. While I’m not huge on Halloween, I always buy one of the sets, which I did with the online exclusives, but very surprised there was no dsp, ribbon, or embellishments. I usually purchase quite a bit from this upcoming catalog, but in all honesty, I’m quite disappointed with much of the catalog. Of course, I know when I watch your videos and those of other demonstrators, you will change my mind. 😊
I’m disappointed that there is no Halloween but more disappointed that they did away with the catalog at a glance. I like some things about the new look of the annual but there are things I don’t like as well. One thing is that the stamp index print is really too small. I think they forget that a lot of their customers are older! Thanks for the info.
@@brendafertitta857 no, I guess I missed that. I can’t change things from pdf to Word doc where I can change size of print. Do you still have it to share?
@@carolynmanning76 The download link is in the description of this video, as well as one for a quick reference guide. I also have an embellishment download that has the description and colors listed. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e4_y5NKKZBE.htmlsi=J8IE6_eKQx1jUGJB
@@brendafertitta857 hi, Thanks for the download. I had a heck of time trying to print it but ended up copy & pasting the Stamp Set index to Word then I was able to print that. Fo some reason, Google would not let me just print those few pages and I didn't need all of the pages. Where there's a will there's a way, lol. Thanks again, much appreciated.
Thanks for sharing this. I always enjoy making Halloween cards, was looking forward to what would be in the catalog. Now I know - nothing. I don't like any of the Halloween items in the online store either. Guess I will have to see what Hobby Lobby has for Halloween. They have some cute papers, but I rarely purchase them, I am a pretty loyal Stampin Up customer, have been buying from them since 1996.
@@lenorawyler1079 I have an updated video. Stampin' Up told us this week there will be some DSP a scrapbooking kit and stickers coming out. Thanks for watching!
Very disappointed in this mini catalog. It's as difficult to find things as the annual catalog. I certainly hope they listen to the demonstrators and go back to the old style. The Online Exclusives are great. The Halloween sets are cute and the Christmas suites are beautiful but it makes it really difficult to plan classes using them. We have no idea how long these products will be available. If I order products for a Holiday class now by the time I have my class in October they may be gone. Did anyone notice the 3D haunted house pictured in the new mini? Is this an upcoming kit?
@@patriciasalhoff6667 I think online exclusives are around for about a year so you should be good. I did not notice the haunted house...perhaps they are coming out with kits? I too hope they change the catalogs back.
Thanks for the heads up about fall and Halloween. I only celebrate Christmas from Dec 24 thru January 6 so I don't need 200 Christmas stamps. And I only do Christmas with religious stamps. Like with the annual catalog (I spent just $60), it looks like I'm saving even more $$ in fall. 😂😂
@everyone I just found out through the grapevine that there WILL be Halloween DSP coming out with a new scrapbooking line that is coming out. I will make another video as soon as I know more!
I was disappointed that there wasn't more Halloween and Fall stuff, it seems to be mostly Christmas. But still, the stuff that is in there is pretty cool! PS totally unrelated but I love your ring, is that a mother's ring?
@@cynthiahogue5762 I have an update video, there will be a couple Halloween things coming out with a a new scrapbooking line that is coming out next month.
