this entire video is worthless for the average DIY person. Even the directions for ethanol extraction are bad. They didn't decarb the flower first, just used raw. As they said earlier, decarb is a critical step. They also didn't grind the flower to get the most surface area. just drenching with alcohol over the flower seems very inefficient. Other formulas soak the tincture for extended periods of time to get the most THC/CBD/Terpenes as possible. Master Wu's hot technique also must be more efficient than a simple drain technique. The one question everybody asks but never gets good answer is how long to macerate biomass ( flower ) for best extraction. There has to be a point of diminishing returns. How much is extracted after an hour of soaking vs a day, a week a month, etc.
I usually have a bit of saliva built up to drop the tincture in and try to let some of the vapor from the alcohol evaporate before closing my mouth. Seems to help a bit with the burn

When you bake the brownies doesn’t that decarb the cannabis….do I need to do it before too? It seems overkill since I’m also using herb infusion machine which heats the product also.
Yes you can use moonshine if it's a high enough proof but from what I know the average home still can't get to 190 proof more around 135-155 which means water content you don't want
I prefer fresh distillation with four bubble plates and four separate phases. Generally get 95 abv get vodka great for soxhlet extraction. The best for full spectrum. Remove all alcohol naturally with vacuum extraction.
I truly admire you. However, I have a question: I like essential oil's e.g., lavender. Citrus like orange, tea tree , oregano, & other flowers. Their flash point temperatures for herb & flower are very low like 90°F - to - 130°F. For example if I were soak these citrus skins or lavender plant(s) first separately inside a plant milk bag immersed in drinking liquor is this feasible? For Example -- a drinking liquor of about 40 or 60 proof. Raw material -- Not exposed soaking already filtered in a plant milk bag sitting in the liquor in the plant milk bag? Is that feasible?? Could I then transfer it to a temperature controlled water distiller boiling temperature very low. Would this work? Also, it is awesome using a mug warmer, To finish alcohol evaporation - oil processing very nice. I just want to avoid self-injury. I prefer distilling food grade Drinking alcohols because after distilling I could still drink it. Will my idea work?

I've been making dual extracted mushroom tincture at home for a couple years. I recently got a freeze dryer am interested in powdering the extract for capsules. I'm wondering if I should vaporize off some of the alcohol part first to help it dry faster and better? If I do that aren't I also losing the medicine? Thank you
So you’re saying the reason that the delta 8 gummies i ate this morning had a “burning” taste was bc they were full of synthetic terpenes? They tasted like when you take aleve and cant get a drink right away and the coating starts melting in your mouth and it burns. That’s exactly what they tasted like. Linux is best for a personal computer, as you can fully customize, and only have software that you use. Windows can have advantages for gaming. However, that is less clear as developers are using Linux more often now.

I notice you use a percolation method here for a faster tincture method rather than soaking for weeks however I was wondering could alcohol tincture be made via heat method as a faster turn around? I need to know how to use full spectrum cbd distillant and make a tinature . Cbd oil I use to buy from the gas station I want to replace. I got 250 grams of full spectrum distillant and don't know how to use it.
I'm no certified chemist. But I have noticed that 5 to 10mg seems to be the spot. I feel like body weight doesn't really have an effect of the serving. I have two different people very close in weight. Then I have people that are less in weight and the effects are the same. I know metabolism has the biggest play in the effects and times. I always want to increase based on that method. But they typically tell me no. That the 5 or 10 is perfect. I'm sure everyone will argue about body weight. But, this all depends on what type of oil u use. About 50% of the chemists will use crude oil. They say theirs are 500mg. But in reality. That oil is about 40% pure. Give or take. Sure. U are using .5g of your oil. But only ends up being 250mg a batch. So there are many factors that come into play. So I argue that body weight doesn't play a factor. Atleast from what I have seen
Curious what you thi k about the possibility of making my alcohol tincture to thick? I'm making it from concentrate and I feel like I get better absorption when I make it weaker and thinner take more. I allso like taking my total dose incrementally across the span of like 15min. So instead of all at once witch makes my mouth water and seems to kinda prevent it from absorbing as well.
do you have any clue if Ilera Prism Sundae Driver Crumble is pre-decarbed? I'm looking to make it into edibles, or even just a tincture by using some everclear. If it's not decarbed is it absolutely necessary that i decarb before doing this? (its already high in THCa which i do really like.)
