Well, it is more than disappointing seeing the state of my childhood game being ruined by zero updates/patches/or just simple anti-cheat. Many great content creators leave tf2 to go play other games, because tf2 is slowly dying... I love the community, I love the game, so many good memories, but now? This is really going down the road...

People don’t understand that it isn’t about the money, this is a message valve has sent about not wanting to support their multiplayer games when things get tough. CS2, you’re next. Deadlock? I give it a year. This protest is us trying to tell everyone to make noise because some day it won’t just be tf2, and when that happens, there will be nobody left to hear you for you didn’t heed the warning of the first signs of valves downfall. I don’t care that TF2 makes so little, I care that everyone on the internet knows valve has no intentions of supporting their games anymore, after all, it’s treadmill work. “Oh tf2 is nearly 20 years old!!!” I consider this boiling the frog. Start with something old, something people consider antiquated, then you know, the counter strike fan base has been around for quite some time too, CS2 just is too hard to maintain! Valve is either working on a fix, planning to let it die, or completely oblivious of what is happening all together. If you want results I think you need to take the fight to games they are actually actively working on

I find it really funny when people act like valve “removed” mac support cause it just shows they don’t actually know about what’s going on and are just bandwagoning on the movement, No 32 bit game works on a Mac, and tf2 still did not work on a Mac after the 64 bit update. Tf2 has NEVER had Mac support

Removing mac support is hilarious but based, atleast if it would've been in any other circumstance.

I think valve just wanted to move on from tf2, it's already a masterpiece on its own, they already gave the keys to the community for them to fix it for themselves. I mean whose to blame them anyway, it's their decision.

I still love TF2.

I think the removing mac support on the games is due to apple recently releasing a new toolkit for making games run on mac. TF hasn't functioned on macs in a while due to them using proprietary apple silicon, so you had to use an older mac to play the game. Since more games are likely to be getting mac support, valve likely doesn't want to confuse people when they pick up one of their games and it doesn't work.

I think a whole lot of people are missing the point of this. It is trying to make sure Valve knows what's up and will take action, and all honesty from a company perspective, would you respond with, "Oh yeah we know what has been going on for a few years and we didn't do nothing about it."? That would make Valve look worse than they already do, and I am sure they are trying to figure out a way to make their anti-cheat work without having to own your pc by installing a huge anti-cheat :/ really I'd kinda prefer that but that's just Valve. Idk, I wasn't hoping on them to respond or what, and I am at least 70 percent sure they know what's going on with their game(s). I would like to believe they had been working behind the scenes to figure out a way to fix their anti-cheat or making a brand new one, but that is something that is a 50/50 scenario. Still though, I think people are missing the point, Valve will probably not respond with words but rather, with action, whatever that may be and whenever that will come. That aside, #fixtf2 #savetf2

Hate to say it but you guys gotta move on now... The game is a lost cause now... Haven't been playing it for 2 years and I would rather play L4D2's toxicity than fighting bots and cheaters in casual over and over again and community servers doesn't help me giving any satisfaction. (I'm not hating the game it's just, I don't really think that Valve wants to update it anymore. I miss playing Tf2 but I finally moved on to other games like Blue Archive and L4D2. But I give my all best that you guys could do it and change Valve's mind on fixing the Tf2. Hope y'all having a great day :] )

No offense to everyone who organized this protest but all it’s done is make the game even worse than before. Now it’s really borderline unplayable on the casual side. It wasn’t even remotely this bad before the whole movement started. Should’ve just left it alone and let it die slowly rather than pour gasoline all over an already existing dumpster fire. I’m fortunate enough to have been able to enjoy the game when it first became f2p and I’ve never looked back since. But now it’s a shadow of its former self and the bot issue has pushed it over the edge. it’s time for everyone to accept reality. If an update is coming to the game it’s just going to be more cosmetics. Expecting anything more is just foolish. Just to be clear tf2 is my favorite game of all time and I hate seeing the way valve has treated it but I’m also realistic. The fact that they haven’t at the very least handed the reigns over to willing members of the community by now to tackle this is baffling and outright disrespectful. But businesses are businesses and they’re always going to operate in their best interests no matter what. The pennies they squeeze out of this fan base mean nothing to their bottom line. They’re using the community’s love for their game as a source of passive income. If the game dies it means nothing to them. it’s a god damn shame but it would probably be in everyone’s best interest to just accept it for what it is and move on honestly. there’s no lifeboat being sent out, it’s just going to get worse from here. Let the little basement dwellers have their win and then when the game is finally dead and gone for good and there aren’t any more people for them to mess with they can crawl back into whatever crevices they squeezed out of and fade back into obscurity where they belong. Or let them ruin deadlock next, who cares. o7

They don't care for the game. It is very obvious even before the bot crisis. They are aware of the situation and decided not to take action. The only reason this goes on is because people play and spend time /money on it. Why should they care about the game if they don't need to put effort into it and get money back just the same? So no. The more you play and talk about it, more attention they earn, be it bad or good. Wanna really hit them hard? Stop playing TF2. Stop giving them your time, money, and attention. Or they'll fix the game because it finally hurt their pockets, or they will finally put an end to its suffering.

The bigger problem is that if nothing is done about the bot hosters, they're going to see this as a win and feel empowered to expand their horizons since they already got away with ruining a game as popular as TF2. The upcoming Deadlock? Probably on the target list. Other games like Overwatch, and even games in completely different genres could also be on the chopping block. They're only going to become a bigger and bigger problem unless something is done to shut them down. The sooner, the better. The longer, the worse the problem will get and the less definitive any results will be.
