I warn you from model that have chargeable active stylus!!! Well its' simple, tablet is working excellent but the thing is with nibs. Except 20 nibs you have in the box you can't buy replacement for active stylus. Funny thing is the sellers "have" them but as bundle with tablets or stylus . Most of them have a lot of nibs for battery free stylus. If you are lucky to have model that have this stylus there is no problem to buy replacemant. If you have model with active stylus like me you're in big problem :/ Nibs are different which is ridiculous for my opinion :P They're smaller and not available on any online shops :P I'm just fucked up and angry, but well here you go Chinese Tablets XDDD
Bruh, even the xp pen deco 01 (about what equals 70 or 80 dollars if bought in here) is an incredibly expensive buy on my end. I guess im still on traditional art for the time being..
@@chief2665 1000 dollars? What I was saying is that things that cost 50 dollars outside in here cost *what would be* 70 or 80 dollars, in my currency thats like $5000. Im just doing the conversion so nobody bothers to do it instead.
IT'S SO HEARTBREAKING FOR ME SEEING ALOT OF PEOPLE CALLING THIS CHEAP 😭😂 THAT'S TOO MUCH MONEY HERE AND CONSIDERED EXPENSIVE !😭 STILL CAN'T AFFORD. I'M BORED THIS QUARANTINE LOL
@@seanichii9554 oh I'm sorry to hear that :( I'm still a student too lol an I'm just doing my best to get some money 😅 I hope you're able to purchase one when your times comes and I wish you guys the best of luck!!!♥️
Important note for anyone looking for buy, there are several versions of this tablet and the model in the video is a BT-16HDK. Accidentally bought a 16HDT which has the passive pen and touch screen, but does not have the scroll wheels or shortcut keys. Didn't think to go back and pause this vid on the box barcode shot until mine arrived and was not what I expected.
I finally found some info on this tablet to avoid confusion, so the models have following features. BT-16HD Battery free pen, no touch, no buttons BT-16HDK Battery free pen, no touch, has buttons BT-16HDT Battery free pen, has touch, but no buttons Idk what the model is for the tablet that has battery free pen with touch and with buttons.
mine is a BT-16HDT and I got a battery in my pen... so apparently the 16HDT (touch) comes with both options for the pen. I have to charge it like once every three months or so, but it charges in like 20 minutes.
It’s strange he says he doesn’t recommend it but the art made totally trumps a few of the others he made to this point, it could due to many variables but that art speaks volumes
@@jekesan4221 not sure man, i have trouble trusting tablets who have not yet proven itself. My first tablet was a genius brand and it sucks so bad... I would recommend huion if you're short on money or buy wacom if you can afford it, i've used huion kamvas in one of the animation studio i worked for and it's good.
@@Delta-2-0 XP-pen are pretty good man, have a lot of use.. big and cheap xD I'm planning on buying Deco 01 V2 for starting use, I use Huion .. it's pretty good.. I just have very small problem with it. I don't really trust Bosto, because I can't proof it's good on my perspective. Btw, what's your first tablet?
Hello! It was thanks to your video that I decided and bought a Graphic Tablet from Bosto (same from video, with touchscreen) and I love it, even though I have several difficulties in drawing on it. Continue with your videos as you help and explain very well! All the best!
I can see this company getting somewhere with there touchscreen tablets I hope they release newer models in the future fixing the design flaws I see in this, it’s kinda like how xp pen improves with there pro models
I prefer chunky pens over slim ones as with slim ones, my pen holding fingers are in pain before too long due to the muscle cramps. May get this one eventually.
HI Mikey, I can't begin to express my relief at coming across your video. Having ordered the Bosto 16HDTouch and received the regular 16HD the first time round (on account of the boxes looking identical) imagine how dismayed I was when the actual replacement 16HDT came without the charging cable mentioned in the instruction pamphlet! Thank you so much for confirming that the new pen in fact does not need charging, and my compliments on a video review that is equal parts relaxing and informative!
@@thomasblanche9642 me too, I have not a lot of money since I gotta buy a computer for work as soon as possible, but I also need a good tablet since mine is almost dead :/
@@Ardeact The Kamvas also doesn't have touch screen. This is a steal at this price, but the limitations may make it a waste of money if you need better quality instead of just features.
Thats amazing. 16 inch for the price of an huion, gaomon or xp pen of 12 inchs. Gaomon is 10.6 They could ask you for make an art to their boxes. This one is amazing but i would love to have an tablet's box with your art.
(FIXED!) Let me know if you encounter the same problem as mine. I will do my best to help you guys! :D My problem WAS : Help please, I bought the exact same tablet; Bosto 16HD, installed the drivers, connected all cables, the tablet goes on, the pen is working perfectly, but on my tablet screen it says 'no signal' and it just goes off to black after the no signal message and my laptop screen just couldn't project into the graphic tablet. I can toggle the pen just fine on the black screen. On the driver configurations it says that the pen is functional but the touch screen says device not found eventhough the tablet goes on, just the screen is not projecting. What should I do?
@@isma9408 Hello, I fixed mine, it was an outdated graphic driver, mine was Nvidia. I had to update it manually and it works. If it still doesn't work you should check Bosto website then to FAQ and you'll find the solution for every problem there.
@@jekesan4221 I downloaded Driver Easy software to scan my outdated drivers and from the software itself I followed the instruction to manually update it, and boom!
Thanks for this review! It was helpful. I have a XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro drawing monitor 16". it run Windows 10 and can run all Adobe software. Being able to draw directly on the screen with pressure sensitivity is amazing. I would highly recommend it in regards to accuracy and comfort. I have been using XP-Pen tablets for over 3 years now on a variety of projects from realistic illustration to logo identity projects.
a serious review since the company want him to tell his fan base what he thinks of the product. And for future projects better take it seriously u never knows life has surprises sometimes.
He is calm and serious for review sake, but he did insert subtle jokes here and there that you probably won't notice. One of the most commented joke would be the "Right handed or wrong handed".
I though my computer only can handle 2 monitor too even having 4 port.. until i realize it´s a win 10 problem, you need to go to the display options from right clicking the desktop and choose the black one and then choose something like extend screen on this desktop, at least works to me. now i´ve got my huion kamvas pro 20 and 2 screens at the same time
Never heard of Bosto before. Wonder how it will come pair to the other 5 Affordable brands? Huion, XP Pen, Veinkk, Gaomon, Ugee. Edit: Huion will always hold special place in my heart on the fact it was my first tablet.
Extremely descriptive and informal review lol. I got way more information about this tablet than I expected thanks only I bought the tablet before this review shipping in 2 weeks xD
"Right or wrong-handed use" as a left handed person I feel attacked lol BUT I'll let it slid because it really did make me laugh, never head it said that way before, also really thinking of getting this tablet.
Hi there! Greetings from México... Well, I've been spining the idea of buying a digital tablet to upgrade my old wacom intuos but man the prices... So I found a very good priced Bosto 16hd but I needed an honest artist review of it, so here we are... Thanks for helping me to decide👍 Excelent review.
Ok this is probably late af. But I'm looking to get into digital art, and I saw this one for a good price. But I want to make sure I can use it without issue. I myself don't have a computer, so begs my first question. Can this work without a computer or laptop? Meaning working just fine as a stand alone. And another question, is does it have network features? Like access to internet services. Whether it be social media apps, Google apps or even streaming services. Cause that way I could easily transfer over my work to my phone where I can easily post it or show it to people. And three. Does it work with animation and editing softwares? Like making animated video, and editing already existing pictures and videos. Which would help me out with certain tasks and projects. Sorry for talking so long, but those are my three concerning questions.
its basically mirroring your computer screen to the monitor, which makes it touch screen. The computer still runs the software. So to answer your question, yes need some type of laptop or computer. just make sure it has hdmi outputs
Thank you so much for this video. I am on a very tight budget looking for a drawing tablet to do my digital artwork which I have been doing on my phone. I don't know how much this one cost, I didn't hear you say the price but since you say is cheap I will look into it. I'll see if I can get it for Christmas. But I am impressed with all the hardware it comes with. I definitely need something like this without the need to buy everything separately. Thank you again!!
Seems super susp when all of the art displayed on the tablet in selling ads is league of legends concept art, and when their website domain is for sale, and hasn't been updated since 2015.
Hey Mike ! I'm watching it with my Bosto 16hd too ! But it seems you didn't receive the classic HD but I'd tend to think you received an HDK instead ! I may be wrong, but if I remember correctly, the one with the special buttons (the few on the top with a roulette) are not on the initial HD, though the basic 16HD has a battery pen and no buttons. (edit and yeah, for the input, you can even have it work with a 2.1A power bank) This aside, I like your videos ! Thanks for teaching me how to make hands !
thanks for the review!! i'm new to digital art and i'm wanting to try out a screen tablet rather than the one i've got, due to lots of frustrations on my end. i'll be keeping my eye on this product :)
What im wondering is if there are any drawing tablets that do their task without needed to be connected to any other device; or would that just be an actual tablet at that point?
HP had some windows tablet pcs with wacom displays back in 2014 so I imagine there must be more nowadays. I personally had a Lenovo x61 from 2010 with a wacom display
I’ve got to say, I loved this guys review. The box sleeve art was cool, especially so for anime lovers. I liked the nice clean display of the tablet specs once the sleeve came off. The “thank you for your purchase” card was a cute addition -makes me feel like a valued customer. And the Bosto brand thumb drive was also a nice touch. It wasn’t asked for, but to some, it could be a game changer (depending on its storage capacity) and I’m sure many will appreciate the extra accessory. The tablet sleeve was ok. Basic, in my opinion, but again, it was a nice addition. The metal stand is also a big deal. Some competitors don’t even include a stand as part of the package! Now, the deal breaker for me was how small the hot bar buttons are and the fact that you can’t see them. I know the little lights are supposed to help you discern the placement of the keys, but personally, I like to visibly see my buttons. Another thing that bothers me is how the wires stick out on the side for lefty users. A lot of tablets I’ve seen have this kind of L shaped plug in to reduce awkward hand positioning. Moving forward, I also don’t like how the replacement nibs just sit loosely in a plastic baggy. Boston should have followed the lead of its competitors and put them inside the pen holder. Or it could have at least come with a small attaché case for the nibs. Lastly, the pen itself. You said the pen has no give and basically mentioned how it feels awkward to use a few times. I don’t think I like the sound of that very much, being that pen and screen responsiveness plays a HUGE role in the quality of the product. After this review, I stood on the fence about it in terms of functionality. The presentation had my mouth watering, but some features just didn’t seem... right. Is 7/10 a fair rating?
This is not Bosto 16HD, it is Bosto 16HDT! Just got one with same packaging but all the top buttons missing and no zoom wheel on tablet, no zooming possible at all...and no touch screen 😭 invest in better one guys, spare yourself some grief
I know its a few years old but thanks for the review. Brand new to art in general so seems like it will be fine for me and I've come across it below £100 brand new so cant complain as even second hand at that price I would be looking at a much smaller display from other brands
This was so relaxing to watch mate i like how his voice is so calm i wish every Unboxer is like this even when unboxing a terrorist bomb they still remain calm and review the bomb quality
I am a laptop user with small hands, am right handed and am new enough that the drawbacks are hardly noticeable. That, and I can theoretically play my switch docked on this?! I think I'm sold.
I love how so many people are guffawing over "Right or Wong Handed" but so many seemed to have glossed over, "Leeloo Dallas Multi Cable" without so much as a nod to the classics. And by, "love" obviously I mean, "I feel old." On the other hand, at 8:50 I feel he described a good attribute for a tablet or a girlfriend.
I got this tablet and its nothing but issues, don't buy it! I have to reinstall and install the driver repeatingly to get it working and even then it takes forever to register the pressure sensitivity and even THEN if you extend screen, the strokes won't register and your censor will appear back onto your main monitor. BUYER BEWARE
Those cheap tablets use the same tech licensed by some mysterious company that does the driver. Huion, XP-Pen, ArtiSul, Bosto are the same product and will offer the same experience except for build quality.
Mikey I need your help. I recently got a artist 12 tablet and I'm sort of teaching myself how to use it. When I zoom in to draw the details, part of the drawing gets cut out. Is there anyway you can help me out?
This tablet is garbage, the screen is bad, color is inaccurate and the contract is off. There will be a delay for any input, and the pen pressure is so uncomfortable compared to a Wacom pen.
@@winkyfaceuu huion is good too i've used huion kamvas in a studio environment it worked very nicely, that's an animation studio environment in a real production.
This video had me pressing all the buttons on my huion 12 that I just got for the display settings. I found them. Now on to watching your drawing tutorials
