you can go through any wall. For example the door: Look at the door and turn towards the left corner, run towards it and basically bump your head through the wall, and you are inside. This also works on leaving the house. me and a friend found this very early on and been using it ever since
@Insym I'm VR player, and there's my few tricks without any hacks/cheats/tools: • you can walk through every doors and thin walls just by smashing your head through it • you can fly if you walks irl into a cliff. For example I can walk to rooftop (entrance canopy/balcony) by smashing my head through window upstairs and walk into the void and levitate (don't touch walking stick on controller, if you do you'll fall) • also you can climb on tables just by walking irl in it then gently lower your head and climbing on it by doing this
As someone who plays in VR all the time, here's some more for you: - You can use the edge of the sanity board to get out of the van without opening the door. - You can get into any house through the garage door by shoving yourself into the corner and sprinting. - You can get into the cab of the van on most maps by sprinting at a slightly diagonal angle against the back wall. - You can get onto an out of bounds roof on prison by running against the filing cabinet in the warden's office. - You can get underneath most houses by using the walls next to stairs. - There's a tree halfway between the cabin and the storage tents on campground that you can walk into sideways or backwards and you'll rise infinitely into the air until you're so high in the sky you can't see the ground anymore. (Warning for this one, your hitbox remains on the ground during hunts, it's hilarious watching your body fall out of the sky though.) There's plenty more, but these are some of the cooler ones.
To be honest, most people just use OVR Advanced Settings for a playspace mover. I use it for vrchat with full body but it also has some very weird interactions in Phasmophobia
They could also do something fun with it though, where if you glitch into the house without unlocking the door, interesting things could happen. Spawn every ghost type at once, start an endless hunt, have the spirit box say things like "You shouldn't be here yet", etc. Could be a fun thing to program and play around with for those rule breakers.
As a programmer, my guess is that when the ghost is finished hunting, it reverts to (or in this case, starts) its "roaming/random ability" logic loop since that logic would have to be disabled when a hunt starts. The interactions, regular events, sanity, etc. logic is assumed to already be running during and after a hunt, so they don't start up. Basically, whatever gets turned off when a hunt starts should be what gets enabled after the hunt ends.
I only play in VR - the biggest challenge is to not clip through everything. You can fall down from top floor to ground floor in school by hugging the walls, you can clip into the farm houses by walking near the banisters, you can accidentally fall through staircases if you run on them, the tents in campsite are basically not there, etc etc
What's also really interesting at 26:46 you can see the footsteps by the stairs one direction and then RIGHT after that, you can see it change as the ghost moves towards the lights to blink them!!
I think the fact that only some features get activated after the hunt is probably because those features are the ones that get disabled when a hunt starts. A hunt ending is probably hardcoded to reactivate those functions of the ghost.
the random spirit box responses still work when your mic is enabled, as long as you don't have it in your hands. Might be worth doing that if you don't get a response since you seemed to have some trouble with that on occasions. Turned on spirit boxes on the floor doing random responses when I couldn't get any actively has saved me numerous times.
What I think is sort of funny actually is that the No-key challenge, and the ghost not being active, is a more accurate representation of RL ghost hunting. Except for the whole "ghosts exist" thing
I'm surprised that people are only discovering that window glitch now because the last time I did that was back in 2020 while I was trying to clip the writing book through the window. It definitely scared the crap out of me.
@@hoszobamboszo3158 Really? That's so interesting. I would imagine that VR would be scarier since you can't just look away, which I personally would find terrifying. Cool to see how opinions vary 😄
I was hoping you'd try to light the summoning circle again, because I wonder if it would have worked again since you technically didn't enter the house. I mean it didn't seem to drop your sanity when lighting the candles, so I wonder if the game even counted it as being used. The candles didn't really look used either. If you try this challenge again and get the circle again, I'd give it a go.
So... the important question here is: Do DK and CJ ever wake up and think to themselves, "I wonder how Insym is going to break our game today."? 🤣 Also, I would LOVE to see if the ghost can complete the kill during a hunt in a situation like this!
I knew after that wall clip in VR that this was coming. Watching the struggle with the items was so relatable to the times I play in VR where I grab a Paramic instead of a photo camera.
I mentioned this on your other video but getting in without the key is easy in VR. You can walk through any locked door by sprinting towards it and grabbing the door handle while still sprinting. It even works on the campsite map but you have to go through the gates close to the hinge end instead of the middle. The only issue is that it doesn't work during a hunt for some reason.
DOTS has never been an interaction, it works like the spirit box. If it's near one for a certain amount of time, it will trigger it automatically. The ghost doesn't need to pass an interaction check to trigger it. The sensor checks if the ghost is in range and after X amount of seconds, will trigger by itself. Just like the spirit box. Because of this you can also have a ghost event and DOTS happen at the same time, causing you to see "two" ghosts.
My guess is that there is a script that handles all the behaviors any ghost can do, interactions, ghost events, and hunting. Separately there is a script for each ghost type that has its characteristics and abilities. This ghost type script probably got activated when a hunt was forced by the summoning circle so that the hunt could take into account the ghosts characteristics, also the navmesh agent would have been activated here too so the ghost could actually move around while hunting. So the ghost would be half awake after the hunt.
This is sort of like a prequel to phasmophobia. Some dude is in a house that does not have an active ghost, decides to mess around with a summoning circle and gets attacked, and now there's an active ghost in the house.
Hi Insym. You can also phase through locked doors by grabbing the door and moving your head forward while pushing up on the left control stick. It's pretty fun for exploring the bigger maps without worrying about any ghost attacks.
Just an FYI (developer here), "spaghetti code" (one thing follows another follows another follows another until you can't tell end from beginning) isn't quite the right term here - it's called an "edge case" (meaning something that only happens (or can't happen) in a very specific, weird, unpredictable set of circumstances). QA testing for Edge Cases is so super important and honestly, only people with teams or a very QA minded developer (not a regular thing that happens!) can sufficiently think of all these "weird what ifs". :)
So after the cursed hunt, it started walking around and used its ability, what if ghosts who have the ''cursed hunt'' flag activated will roam more and also will use its ability more, so what we saw here was the ''extra'' that the cursed hunt flags adds on top of regular behavior but because its ''inactive'' its also locked into the ghost starting room.
Hey Insym, another way to get into the house in VR (and a much more funny way if others are playing) if you go on the left side of the truck ramp, in that tiny little gap in between the ramp and the truck doors, and just force yourself in, you will appear in the garage on Tanglewood only
@Insym you can glitch in every house withouit the key by just spamming the main door in vr. just run in the door and spam the unlock buton !without! the key, and you'll glitch in i got it to happen a lot with my "non-vr" friend when they take too much time taking the key.
I have two good ideas. Try this on asylum. Try without opening the van. The way to glitch through any door it to lean back and lunge forward while holding sprint at the corner of the frame. Any door or van and some walls.
They should make pazuzu for the quija board like a 2% chance to summon it when you ask questions to the board and 5% if you dont "say goodbye". Pazuzu just being a daemon with rev speed only possible to get on pro level+ or nightmare only. Basically would add a second ghost thats just their to give bad evidences and kill you.
In vr If you push your face into something solid in ve, it will like teleport you away a little bit, so you can push your face on top of something and get put on top of it
VR is more broken than you think for getting into places you're not meant to be. If you go up against a wall (A corner works best) and throw your head towards it, there's a chance you just clip through the wall. Works with doors too.
How does the bone spawn? I was recently in Tanglewood and went through all the rooms and then went back to find the ghost in the first bathroom to the left. And only after coming in with my second set of evidence stuff did i find a large vertebrae on the floor. And I'm certain i hadn't seen it until that 3rd time entering the room
I have an idea for a challenge that hasn't been done in a while, another giggle randomizer or Can't Open Doors challenge where only the ghost can open them.
so basicly if you lucky you can escape the ghost with climbing trough the window edit: The ghost was like, hey Insmy did you know i am old? Hey did you know im old
I guess the ghost is in an idle state before unlocking the door, and the devs have hard coded the ghost to enter a wandering state at the end of a hunt, disregarding the key.
Also, using the tarot cards during this 'glitch' will cause your sanity to drop and it can activate the ghost hunting stage..however, the ghost won't actually be able to move
