Awesome! I really like that you added daily updates to show how your hair “grows” over the course of the week. I’ve never done a wash and go with just mousse. You were right to use a liberal amount of product in order for that set to last.

Just came across your channel! I just started using the Doux this year and I haven't gone back to gel since, lol. The dry time is so amazing and I usually get five days out of my style, sometimes seven if I am consistent with wearing a bonnet. I have been doing shingling but I am going to try raking the product through because I am all about the speed! Thanks for the video! ❤

@@evelynparhamreviews Do you use the hotel hand dryer when you are traveling? Wash n go with gel takes forever to dry for me using a hooded dryer and diffuser. Does the mousse set dry faster for you than a gel set?
@@michelej3915 Yes, I use the hotel hand dryer if I do my hair while traveling and when I'm out of town, I don't use a gel. I will use a styling lotion type of product or a leave-in conditioner and a moisturizer. It does take a gel longer to dry, but it depends on the consistency of the gel and how much you use. A mousse does dry faster, but it also depends on how much you apply and how wet the hair is.
Wow! I’m so glad Naturally Corporate mentioned you. We DO have very similar hair, even when you mentioned the area in the back near the crown. My hair is coarser in that area too! I never tried a wash and go with just mousse. Your curls look beautiful, and they lasted a long time. And yes, I love when it gets bigger with each day 😍. We have such similar hair textures! Especially that back section! Thanks for this…I have used this product since before I went no oil and didn’t like how my hair felt w other products…good to know I can prob expect a great hold w just this product- even in humid FL🤣

Timestamp 3:08 - It's a twist out, but I tie my scarf the same way for a wash and go. I have all of my hair out with a wash and go. I tie the scarf under my hair at the nape while leaving the hair out but still covered. I hope this helps.
When you say you leave the hair out are you referring to not twisting in 2 sections like in the twistout then putting the scar on? Am I just to throw the scarf on, lift the hair and tie scarf underneath.
I love the shape of your hair!!!! I tried to have a stylist cut my hair to be all one length like that but the back grows out so quickly and the front hardly grows at all. I love that shape though. I've never tried a wash & go with only mousse. I'll have to give it a go soon. You got amazing shine and definition that was long lasting!! Oh and Naturally Corporate turned me on to your channel! @@christy7516 by stretch do you mean how long it'll last or stretching to make it appear longer? If its the former I will say it lasts me 3 days then it starts getting more volume. The latter I don't stretch my hair so I'm not sure about that.

Thank you!!! 😊 I don't know my exact hair type, however, my hair is fine-medium, with medium density, prone to dryness, but I don't have a big issue with dryness unless I've used a product that doesn't agree with my hair. If I had to guess my hair type it's mixed with 3c-4a,b. So, my hair is fine around the perimeter and in the front (all hair in front of my ear) of my head, and medium in the top & crown area. Thank you, Marlena!! I don't focus on hair typing, but if I had to type my hair, it's probably mostly 4a with a little 3c 🤷🏾♀️ (kinky (tight)-curly). I could be wrong about my hair type because I truly don't know what it is. My hair texture is mostly medium with some fine and coarse hair in the mix. My density is medium and porosity is medium. Wonderful results. How long did you sit under the dryer with it please?warm or hot setting, and did you finish with a cool setting. I just found out that gels and foams are meant to be used with heat. 😳
Thank you!! I sat under the dryer for probably 45-60 minutes for this video. My hood dryer has three settings: low, medium, high. I always use medium heat, but when I turn on my dryer I warm it up on the low setting, then bump it up to medium. I don't usually finish drying with a cool setting. I get the best sets when I sit under a hood dryer. However, if I'm short on time, I'll use a handheld dryer. Thanks for chiming in and have a great week! 🤗🌻🌻
Some products do not work well in my hair, and it's not always easy. I have tried a few other styling foams and my hair has never turned out like what you see in this video. It actually was worse. I believe anyone can wear a wash-and-go, no matter the texture. It's a matter of one liking the results and if they like wearing it that way. It's not about the wng looking a certain way or fitting a certain mold, it's about one's hair's individuality and allowing it to do what it does. Take care!!
