exactly what I was thinking! I take pride in wearing my Gymshark again and I’m glad it’s take a turn back to the old roots. It feels special and good again. I remember when I was way overweight I was like ‘I can’t wait to fit into Gymshark clothing’ and I’m starting to get that super special feeling about wearing Gymshark again now that Dave made this video
I recall the days when Gymshark had the Onyx clothing line, absolutely gorgeous clothing pieces, that would be worn by acknowledged fitness models who we would look up to or aspire to be like. However, the past few years I've noticed how Gymshark has started to use models that don't necessarily bring out the same motivation and inspiration as before. I get nowadays everyone is trying to fit the agenda of body positivity, but to know how far Gymshark has strayed from its roots is quite heart-rending.

I remember when I was overweight I told myself, ‘I can’t wait to fit into Gymshark clothing'. I needed that motivation. It felt like an exclusive club you could only join if you did the work. We all know its not easy. Its a sense of accomplishment vs body positivity and buying a XXXL just to wear the name.
Same, when I bought my first gymshark stuff, it was like I earned that to be able to make that stuff look good. I like challenges and It should be exclusive to those who have discipline and physical goals

@@anonymeister123i understand what yoy mean but david laid is way bigger than instagram posts. All of his videos, one of the first link in the description is gymshark website. Averages just under 2 million viewers a month on all his videos. Take 0.2% of those viewers buying from his link is 5000 alone, a month. Gymshark isn’t cheap, average 50 a person would be 250k a month in sales. Obviously not accurate numbers but you get the idea. When people see David laid they think gymshark

I got goosebumps, because I get the feeling that there is coming something I missed. Congratulations David! Gymshark &you motivated me when I started to take bodybuilding serious, got me into electro music & Pre-Workouts and the Brand, loved the whole aesthetic! Before I worked out I watched your videos ate my rice&chicken and took my supps🤓 But how you said, I got that feeling to, that they lost touch with what I identified myself with. And now I have high hopes and I’m curious to see what is coming in the future!
Gymshark was there when I first got into lifting, it was THE BRAND, I remember being a punk kid in high school coming home and watching David and o.g gym shark crews content circa 2019, couldn’t be any more excited to see the brand go back to its roots. Hats off to you David

Honestly, I'm not surprised David didn't leave Gymshark. Rather, he's more involved in the company. With that said, I am intrigued and somewhat excited how David will improve Gymshark. He has my hopes up.
might be a bit sus but I recognized Sawyer instantly from the first clip of his back lmao.. His physique is kinda oldschool and overall he just looks really powerful. A Perfect fit for this rebranding of Gymshark. During my ~10 yrs of working out on and off, I never bought a single piece of branded gym clothing. This whole shift/transition might be what finally makes me cave in and place an order. Good job, man
I literally think the exact same thing when it comes to the essence of the brand, and also the fit and feel of the gym clothes, i was an absolute fan of gymshark back in 2017-2018, but i lost that connection to the brand when it went super global. What I'm still a fan of is you david, i was super inspired by you when i got into the gym, but also over the years, seeing how you shifted to a more creative videography focused person. You're a great guy, passion is everything
I think this is a really good decision as we have seen David grow with gymshark and they are both major factors for each others growth it is only fair that now David should be now one of the main roots of gymshark, and when he talks about the brand, we all can see the enthusiasm and excitment in his eyes and the love he has for gymshark
