No Man's Sky - ENDING (Center of the Galaxy / Universe)

Just to clarify, this is THE ENDING, some people are hoping for a better ending after getting to the 100th galaxy, You're wrong, accept this work of a failure as the rest of us have.

In the Angry Joe review for "No Man's Sky", there's an interview segment where the developers hint at what might be at the center of the galaxy. "Wouldn't it be hilarious if there was nothing there, or we just faded to black?" and it's said in a joking tone that makes you think they're kidding. Like, "no, that's stupid. We would never do something that lame." And then they actually did it.

There is only one thing that they could have put at the center that would not have been a huge disappointment - a chance for a refund.

It's like the game is saying, 'Thank you for reaching the center! Now go back and start again, please!' This game feels like it's not even worth torrenting...

Worst game in the universe.

If you are wondering why people say this game is shit, this is all the stuff that was promised and then wasn't in the game: -Multiplayer (There is none) -Massive Faction War and Joining Factions (Just 3 races randomly spread in systems that give you no benefits) -Orbits (None) -Animals that interact with each other (There are none) -Ships being a discovery because every ship is completely unique and different, and each player gets their own ship (Nopenopenope) -Different soundtrack for each player (Surprisingly, nope. Although the soundtrack is good.) -No skybox (There is one) -Can technically fly from one star to another without hyperdriving (again, nope) -Trading System (Nope) -Economy (Nope) -Landing on asteroids (Nope) -Portals (Nope)That's all I can think of now. EDIT: Okay so it's 3 years later and I'm still getting replies on this comment, so just to let everyone know, Hello Games has since delivered on many of the above things and has also delivered on a number of things that weren't even promised, like undersea bases and mechs and stuff.

Wait..... wait, I get it! In the center of the galaxy there is a giant black hole. As you travel close to it, your own subjective time is going to slow down to a near standstill, and as a result you will perceive the rest universe as incredibly speed up. And since the accelerating expansion of the universe will make all stars and galaxys move farther and farther away from you, becuase your subjective time almost not moving, you would experiance this as all stars around starting to move away at an incradible speed. I can't believe it! This ending is brilliant! It's an actual, accurate ending of what could actually happen if you try to reach the centre of the galaxy!!! ... ... ... ... ...or, it's just a really terrible ending. That's also a possibility.

even minecraft has more meaningfull ending than this

Can we get a new meme going? Instead of, "Still a better love story than Twilight." how about we say, "Still a better ending than No Man's Sky." For example, Minecraft's ending- Still a better ending than No Man's Sky.

No Man's Sky feels like one big demo, it feels like it is missing a hell of a lot of, well, everything.

Considering the Atlas "storyline" straight up tells you you're in a poorly written simulation made by shitty developers this should surprise precisely nobody. The whole game is fucking pointless, there is NO reason to even try to get to the centre, there's enough shitty systems in the first galaxy to keep you bashing your head against something hard and wall shaped forever. Oh look, another dog sorta thingy, this one has a horn! woo... oh look, more of those exact same fucking mushrooms just a slightly different colour... more of the exact same buildings, the same puzzles repeating over and over, those fucking sentinels always in your face... is this game the trolliest troll that ever trolled? I think it might just be.

This ending was the most disappointing thing since my son.

I swear to god last night I dreamt I bought this game and I was playing it.. I woke up all sweaty and scared. Very unsettling dream indeed.

There is a more secret and satisfying alternate ending to this game: Smash the disc into pieces and burn them into crispy, melting plastic that probably tastes better than the ending we have now.

Not only they didn't even bother making an endgame, they also failed to realize that a different galaxy isn't a different dimension or some shit. This game should go down in history as the greatest cashgrab in existence. Tech demo of procedural generation sold for a full game price.

This is literally the worst thing they could have possibly done for the ending. Rather than make your journey feel worth it with awesome loot/ gear/ ANYTHING, they just slam you into a new galaxy and break everything you have, effectively restarting your game!

I bought this game for $80... I am an idiot.

It's so weird but satisfying at the same time looking at the comments years ago saying that it was a big disappointment. Which yes, it was. At the beginning. Now with everything they've added? It made a HUGE comeback and offers so much more. I'm honestly glad it did so, whereas other games just stay crap. This game though. Did well over the years. :)

To everyone conplaining about an ending.. there is no end, the credits are in the menu bois, its an accomplishment, not an ending. Like hiking the pacific trail, no real value, just the journey.

I actually enjoyed this game. But then again I wasn't part of the hype so I knew what I was getting into. However I do feel a bit cheated, I was looking forward to people seeing the path I took and laughing at what I named some of the animals.

This game is absolutely awesome now. Hello Games really came good in the end, it just took a little while to realise their vision. They were ahead of their time in many ways.
