@@revakriid as someone who has had the game since launch its been an insane wild ride. Welcome aboard, I'm kind of jealous of you getting to experience it for the first time.
they really upgraded the game. before this, I got around 50 fps and often dropped to 15 fps with medium setting. after this update, all extreme setting with stable 80 fps. is it only me?
I just reloaded the game...my last save was May 2022 with over 111 hours. I have 24 billion credits, a hangar full of ships including a living one, inventories full of stuff....and I have no idea what any of it is or wtf is going on. 😢
I mean they focused on 2 different things. NMS has an emphasis on exploration and wonder STARFIELD has an emphasis on story, light RPG elements & world building. They each do different things better, and worse.
It's not just you; don't worry. The game really has a crazy amount of systems and details. If you don't feel like reading the instructions that the game provides, you might wanna search for some "tips and tricks for beginners" video. Just don't let the overwhelming amount of information push you away from the game. It is a great one. Good luck and have fun!
I have stuck with this game from the very start and people would always fight me for defending this game but I knew it had potential. They COOKED. And they cook every damn year with content. For someone coming back I can see why they’d be overwhelmed
It’s a beautiful game! I just started playing for the first time bro and I’m blown away by this game 😮 I can’t believe I didn’t try it before but maybe it was for the best since is heard it had a horrible start🤷🏽
I bought this game on release in 2016. I always go back to it during updates, play for a few hours, then eventually say "meh" and put it away. This update made me want to come back over and over! It definitely feels like a new game!
@@HumanPerson_final Good will with the fanbase is invaluable for long term success, something many game publishers fail to understand and fuck the devs in the ass. No mans sky is an exceptional example of it done right
@@HumanPerson_final They had one of the biggest disaster releases ever. They they took accountability and felt shameful. I respect them for continuing to push out updates
@@austinl5586 I know, I was there on day one and played the game. I’d have been fine if they started charging for expansions at this point considering all they did the first few years after release.
The draw distance has been improved a lot which you might not think is all that important, but you can spot buildings and other useful things from further away. It is definitely crisper which I appreciate.
Still insane how this game turn around and how it one of the very few game ever to do so - Like I can only think of this, cyberpunk, and maybe sf5 that ever went from bad to good -
I hate that cyber punk turned things around because it proved the investors word that it doesn’t matter if you release it broken, fix it and people will praise you. That’s why they pushed it out early, and will do it again.
turn around? there's still nothing to do in it. you can make money to upgrade your gear but theres nothing to use it on, same pirates and sentinals that fry around in circles, same bugs, everyhitng just stands there and lets you shoot them. its like an amazing game for toddlers
I play nms for 2 years now, only 90h, but I play vr excluisvely. Only normal on my ps4 if I am building something bigger - its such an experience, its not even a game anymore. Its like beeing part of this artistic version of a scifi novel.
The derelict freighters you can’t land, generally, have 2 free-floating cargo pods you can destroy to get loot. But when you destroy one, pirates come out and attack you so be careful 😉 You should try one of the ones you CAN land on. It’s a nice change of pace
To me No Man’s Sky feels a lot like sea of thieves, where it doesn’t really have a set objective, but rather a lot of different things you can focus on, until you find something that you want to fully commit to. Like base building, or ship building, or bounty hunting, or exploring planets, or building bases, or frigate and fleet building, or pirating cargo ships, now you can hunt giant alien monsters. I’m sure I’m missing a lot. I find myself losing hours so easily into this game every time I get back into it.
I’ve played this game off and on for many years and came back to it again during this expedition and it was so much fun. The updated graphics partnered with the combat made it such a great re-introduction for me. The fishing expedition was very fun as well and the community for NMS is awesome. Some of the bases that people build are stunning.
Hey stumbled on your channel a bit ago. Love the work you put into this video, it clearly wasn't thrown together. To many people give up right before achieving greatness, so keep pushing!
I started again at the worlds 1 update and I've played relentlessly ever since. It's hard to believe how far this game has came. I think compared to the fake trailers at the start that got people hyped, this current version is far far better.
Can't believe they haven't thought of Dead space 3 like scenarios . You pull up to a random ship in space and it's horror inside. Would be easier to render since it's an enclosed space
if you take the frigate, when you finish the expedition you get the units for selling it (along with nanites from selling technology and stuff (or you would keep your save file and use that freighter and items you collect through the expedition)
I remember buying no man sky as a preorder, I worked in gaming for some time so I knew it was bullshit promises at that time due to technology limitation, but still I had fun cataloging planets fauna and flora, colleting the alphabet and mining resources, spend a few dozen hours doing that, I wasnt that mad at them for not delivering what promissed as I knew it was not possible, but seeing how far they come, how much they change and invest, It is hard to believe this is the same game, I can only say they getting so close to what they promised in 2014. Respect.
I’ve never been able to get into NMS. I find it incredibly boring but I am always happy that folks love it. I did try it in VR after watching Habie do a ton in it… it was fun but absolutely jank.
To clarify on the derelict freighters, the ones that you can land on are only found through coordinates purchased or rewarded from vendors or the anomoly. The one you found is just a place of interest that spawn sometime that can have floating containers to destroy for some loot
Do I have to start a new save in order to see the changes, or can I play from an older save? I think I started my save like 2 days before this update dropped.
Just rebought and downloaded this game on PC (60% off) because my switch died (old age) and wanted to experience this game again and the new update. Frickin awesome I love that they keep updating NMS and making it better and better. Huge fan
Damn, I sold my PS4 copy soon after launch out of disappointment. I've heard buzz about this game over the years on how they've bounced back and whatnot but I never gave it another chance. But, now I almost didn't even realize this was No Man's Sky at first glance. This is crazy. I'll get this tonight since it's on sale on Steam lol
I got the No Mans Sky like a gift from my brother. This game was in my wishlist so long, thinking about to buy. 8:17 I usually trolling those spiders just jumping around 😅 Quickly taking an egg and out there
Wait, what expidition? OMG a new Expidition started! I wish there was an anounsment for this so I knew when one starts. Was not expecting it only days after the last one ended! My wife and I just started. Dude, you passed up a free frighter... Have you never played this game before?
Question- I bought the game about two weeks before the update. After the update, I personally didn’t notice much difference. I only have the one “save”, which is the one I started the day I bought it. To get all the new visuals everyone is hyping about, do I need to abandon the thirty hours I started and begin a whole new save?
I bought this game thinking it would be cool. It is but not my type of game. Now it’s therapeutic. Them updating it is great. I played it 6 hours today and finally realized. I can do what ever I want😂😂😂
I've been playing non stop for one week, so much I've missed since the my 1st 20 hours during launch and was disappointed, now theres no much contents its insane. Gameplay loop is pretty nice too
Finally! The features I’ve been dying to see finally hit in this game. It’s still far from perfect but it’s soooo much closer to the game they promised all those years ago.
Friendly Heads Up: Dog fighting doesn't work in star field. Regardless of dodging or not moving at all, you will always take 3-6 hits. No fun in that play style, once you see it for yourself.
I played the expedition, it was fun! and I found a must have mod that lets me use custom colors with the new mech parts. then I went back to my save too... uh... I mean i CAN explore, but I have no objective, the combat still doesn't feel good, and something is still extremely off about first person. It's still improving but the game is still missing something to motivate me to play past just expeditions.
New player here - I just grabbed No Mans Sky on game pass but I don't see any branding or banners anywhere mentioning the update. Is this a separately sold kind of thing? Sorry I know this question is dumb but I really don't see anywhere on my game mentioning its the new update
Then whatever, it's a slower game and isn't meant for everyone. You're absolutely allowed to dislike it because it's slow but it is not valid ground to say that the game is inherently bad if that's what you're getting at.
nms and minecraft i think do it right. pay for the base game and u get every update that comes out without having to pay a subscription to anything. cant believe im praising a game for what should be the bare minimum but when standards for games are getting lower i gotta acknowledge the ones that continue to stand on business. glad the dialogue around this game has shifted to ppl constantly giving it its flowers
Hilarious timing they just remastered Beyond Good and Evil, and said they made changes in some places to line up with Beyond Good and Evil 2. So it's still in dev lol.
If I'm playing permadeath and I die in an expedition, is my character gone?? What about regular vo op, if I join someone on a mission and die is that it in my world too? I haven't played since 2018 and just started a permadeath run
No mans sky is the perfect example for a developer that really cares about their creative vision. Even if you are not into these kind of games, give it a shoot. It, and the developers deserves it.
Yeah I’ve finished the main story multiple times now. There are no new mechanics or changes just generation of planets and stuff. All the good updates were before this imo. Why all the hype now?
No, pretty much every system I’ve come across has never been discovered before. The reason why everything he comes across is discovered is because he’s doing a multiplayer quest line
We’ll never have to worry about that, because even if we were to collectively discover one planet every second, it would take roughly 31 billion years to “discover” every planet in the game. There are 18 quintillion planets. 😂
There is literally nothing in the game to discover. It's just the same few buildings sparsely populating the planets. There is nothing to do in this game worth doing
Bro all those years I thought no man’s sky was a pc game and it doesn’t exist on Xbox until today. I saw it on Microsoft Store and immediately bought it. I feel so dumb right now. 😂
Just downloaded it. Loving it. However, i tried to play woth a friend and it kept saying they left the system when we were on the same planet. But we could see eachither in space. Made it inpossible to play together :( any advice?
I just was thinking about that game too not long time ago (Beyong good and evil 2 ) and you just randomly mentioned it 😅 why is this happening in the life 😅
Just to let you know, playing anyway else than with all difficulty settings set to max will be a casual joyride with actual classic videogame gameplay providing atmosphere and nothing else. With everything turn to max though, there is some decent survival gameplay to be had and truly exciting dogfighting in level 3 conflict systems.
