Most of this is unnecessary. Claim the ship, get in your old ship and fly to the space anomaly. Once you land in it, switch your ship to the broken one. Then take teleporter to a space station. It’s that easy.
This can also be done by simply selling a ship, then the next ship in one's ship queue is pulled into the space station whether repaired or not. So, if you have several crashed ships you've accumulated, just bring one in and the rest follow one by one as you scrap them without any juggling with the base teleporter. Eventually you get down to your number 1 ship which is often your keeper. I think they added a stop or warning preventing you from selling your last ship, but one used to be able to scrap ALL of one's ships at a space station, effectively leaving you shipless on the space station until you bought a new one.
So, this is a good solution, however, my opposing viewpoint would be this. If you fly your "good" ship to the station, then that is the ship that would be dismantled. I don't know of a way to select one of the crashed ships in that situation, so this scenario would leave you with a broken ship in the end. I guess if you had enough ships to sell that wouldn't be a problem as you could just buy a ship from the station in the end. Good idea over all I suppose.
@cerabraladventures if you have 10 crashed ships, summon your freighter to the space station, fix the engine only on one crashed ship...Don't even fix the shields as you don't have far to go. Fly the sparking ship a few meters to the space station and begin...the method pulls in all damaged unrepaired ships one by one as you scrap them, until your first ship, or keeper ship, is pulled in last.
Thanks so much for this, I know about the more simple trick with the Anomaly, but I am on a save where I haven't even left my first system. I wanted to tie up all loose ends before moving to the next system and now thanks to this video I have a sizeable number of Units to work with when I get there.
Recently reattempted to get into the game and am obsessed now. I watched a single video about freighters, now my recommended is flooded and I couldn’t be happier 😂 thanks for the tip! Will be using this
Thank you all for viewing this video, and please don't forget to sub if you enjoyed the content. I'm amazed that i have over a thousand views in three days, and I am encouraged by this turnout to make more videos. Lots of love, and I hope to see yall in the next one.
Ok wait just a gosh darn minute you whippersnapper..is mine the only one that doesn’t say “claim ship”?! Mine just says buy, exchange & leave! I’m new to this game & just found my 1st abandoned ship & im not sure what to do 🤔 I’m curious as to how I can sell it? I also want to know if I exchange it, do I lose my original ship? I have no freighter by the way & no ship terminals at the space station..
I have an Exotic. My playstyle is exclusively solitary, so it will never impress anyone else. I just liked the look; and having a hyperdrive range of 1,600 light years comes in handy, too. I also truthfully don't use it most of the time now, because I go through galactic cores a lot, and having to repair all of those upgrade modules every time becomes insanely expensive. I don't blame you for the comment, though. I can't stand it when people have status/performative motivations for things, myself. World of Warcraft and Borderlands 2 taught me that having high stats in some areas can be very useful though, depending on what you're trying to do...so I tend to be curious about any new ship types I see.
Much easier way. - Claim. Fly to space. Summon Anomaly and then dock. Exit ship then reload save. Summon the claimed ship. Teleport to any space station. Win.
This is why I don't like this game like I should, way way too many exploits and dupe glitches that aren't patched at all. Lame and too easy. Takes away the point of value for work, especially in multiplayer.
I remember one of the releases had storage augmentations not being consumed when applied, so you could apply the same storage augmentation for free as many times you wanted. They clearly have no time to properly playtest releases if such a basic functionality is broken in a release version.
I get what you're saying. But on the bright side, you do not have to use any of these exploits/ glitches. If repairing a crashed star ship to flight capacity is what you enjoy, then by all means, do what you enjoy. I've started over so many times and done it "the hard way" that I'll admit, I was thrilled to find this exploit. I hope you can find your happy place in the game and enjoy it your way. Thank you for the comment. Thank you for viewing my content, and please stick around and stay tuned for the next upload. It won't all be exploited, I promise. I'll be doing reviews, let's plays, and just some general goofing around.
