I agree. personally, I think the show is really messed up considering how the judges treated them. I mean sure they had to evaluate them but that is not how you do it and who discusses the results in front of the contestants. the trainees suffered a lot

Most people won't understand but I know where he is coming from. People only get better and work harder if they are belittled (with occasional compliments ofc). If you continuously praise someone for their work, the majority of the time, they end up slacking off. Of course doing it at his concert was a bit much but he doesn't just talk out of his ass. He does it to help them and compared to the first few episodes, it seemed to be working as they were taking this show more seriously and working to improve their faults.

i think it make sense why they chose I.M over GUN... cause to me jooheon n GUN have the same kind of aura... I.M style on the other hand is very different from jooheon so they kind of create balance... it's not because who's better rapper than who actually...

+heart4oppa 96 I thought so too :) I love Gun and I hope he debutes either as a solo artist or with another group but with Jooheon he always would be kind of like his shadow. They both have a similar energy and it makes more sense to throw someone in the group that has a totally different style so both rappers can shine and balance each other out :)

Charlotte Holmes it's not "depressing". depression is awful. this might be making you feel really sad. my favorite is #gun and i am going to be really sad to see him go (at least he got to debut on his own, which i think is where he belongs) but i.m is my monsta x bias so i am happy for him. if you're depressed or having suicidal thoughts, call 1-800-273-8255 to talk to someone.

Aww, I really fell for Wonho during this episode. I can see why Shownu might be a better leader overall for Monsta X though. Wonho pours all of his heart and soul into the group and I feel he might put too much on his shoulders and feel too much pressure if he was the leader. Kinda like when Mino was the leader for Team A in who is next but when the leader switched to seungyoon mino was able to relax more.

I watched this before I got into them, why am I watching this again idk it still sucks just as much, and I remember thinking Shownu is great! but Wonhos teams always placed higher then Shownu, though they did lose to I'm Jooheon and hyungwon, why isn't he leader he is obviously great at it. then I came to the same realization you did. Wonho is definitely my bias though.

As a side note, I really hate that comment about "I think you have more potential than Jooheon." I mean, it would be one thing for him to say, "I think one day you could surpass him" or "I think you did better." But to say that he has more potential basically comes off as, "Jooheon is great now but he probably won't get much better than this, but YOU could actually go really far." I don't know, it just bugs me. You don't have to compliment one person by completely bashing another.

That's the problem with groups of 7 or more. How are you gonna split 3 mins so that every one sings equally as much as others, without making the song sound choppy/weird. When you give one person more lines, some other person will have less.

SHOWNU bias! His voice is really deep and melodic (also kinda shy)~not to mention his dancing is great. Since rapping is so flashy Jooheon tends to get all the attention. But SHOWNU is really underrated.

I agree tbh they are both great for a judge you have to be open to many different styles and people's originality the world would be boring if everybody is the same. what makes #Gun unique is his own originality and what makes jooheon unique his own originality you cant try to make somebody into somebody else because then they won't have that touch that makes it their own. btw I love both jooheon and #Gun equally the same I always support them and love how they are truly best friends kinda like jooheon and i.m now

It's not like they're some idiots who think they've got talent, they're some actually really hard-working and gifted kids who made great sacrifices to pursue their dreams, and it's up to the judges to criticize them in order to help them, there's no reason to be asshole-ish.

kraXoom yeah I've only listened to like two songs from him but just hearing him say that, I don't care if he can sing well or not. In real life he's an asshole and that was such a dick move. It's like, they were finally having a good time, but of course they are always thinking about elimination. it was completely unnecessary for him to shout out at his freaking concert. like really?!

You overcomplicate things so much. He never said #gun shouldn't be a rapper and he never said his rapping was horrible either. He actually complimented him in a way. After #gun's first performance, Mad Clown said #gun can't rap well; but he was still one of the judges who put him 3rd place. Before the 2nd performance he said #gun can't rap well, but still puts on a good performance so if he improves his rap he'll be really good. Of course as a rapper it isn't nice to hear, but #gun show'd he was good in the 2nd and 3rd performances impressing the judges even more. He has every right to say his opinion. This is a survival show you hear facts not praises. Look at how much smack K-Will talks.

To all the people giving K.Will a hard time: he really cares about these boys. Watch the next episode, he sobs when one of them is voted off. Sobs. And each time before and after that, he gets emotional about them leaving. So maybe he brought the mood down a bit with his comment (which honestly, isn't even that big of a deal, I mean, if that's "rude" then some of you guys are in for a very rude awakening in the real world, and also, the translation isn't accurate to what he's actually saying so people need to take that into consideration), but he's putting their positions into perspective. Someone's voted off with every passing competition, and if they don't spend every second thinking about that, they could be the next one gone. He knows better than anyone else just how hard they need to work to make it in the business, so his best advice is to never stop working. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's a bit ironic and plain disrespectful to see such unwarranted comments about him when like, really, he's a supportive sunbae.

Definitely give props to your comment, though,,, like... as viewers fangirling over the boys (on their day off having fun), people's perspectives definitely could become skewed IMHO. K.Will's joke wouldn't hurt that much to someone already immersed in the tension of the situation, since they're all 2 missions deep into the process, first of all. Secondly, it seems pretty typical of a teasing, bullying kind of humour that older people would engage in when talking to their hoobae. Personally, despite all that I still wouldn't laugh. I'd be there going 'Awww' and sighing. LOL

happyocdspazz I'm not giving him a hard time but it was kind of rude. These boys are already being kicked down and criticized and not just by them as a judge either. I get that reality is harsh but it cut deep. They worked their butts off, they practiced all the time, they tried and the night they went and enjoyed his concert, he bit at them. He might've meant it in an encouraging way and he might care for them with "tough love" and all but it was humiliating. I'm dumb and I don't speak Korean and I only read the subtitles, but I got the generalization. Whatever he said hurt. And it was in front of A LOT of people. Some people dream big, we all have and we get kicked down for it sometimes but as a person that accomplished his dreams and succeeded, he should know how painful his words were. ESPECIALLY, since he understood them.

Wonho's team definitely deserved to win. They're they underdog group. All members are extremely talented and I'm proud of how far they have came and what they have achieved. Wonho worked extremely hard and I really like how much he did with his skills ^^ is an amazing group too. What saddens me to see is that people are already picking groups (basically favorites) while there's me still getting to know everyone and their talents, not wanting anyone to leave and not feeling right that now there will soon be 9 -.- :( anyways, #Gun looks like Jackson to me XD who is your bias(es)? I like Wonho, #Gun, & Hyungwon (some trainees don't have a lot of fans like Hyungwon :/)

My fav is Seokwon, he just gives that innocent, timid aura of needing to be protected, and only for him to explode with his personality. I would love to see him on shows (like Weekly Idols with #Gun and JeoHeon(?). They are the three most out going to me). Not to mention love his singing-he blew me away last mission with his singing skills. Cause he was last I thought he wasn't so good, but I still liked him,and prayed he would show his talent soon, and he did. I asked, and he delivered. #Gun is my second fav. His rapping is just so...different. I like how aggressive but soft and mellow it is at the same time-he's the better rapper to me. And his personality drives me crazy. He is sooooooo cute when he smile. I swear the cutest thing on this show is him. He will be a fun idol-I really want and can't wait to see him on shows. Third is Wonho, I find him very attractive. Sadly that is all I like about him. I think he's a good dancer, and sexy(not a talent, sorry), and a really hard working guy-I now know after watching this show. His singing is good too, but....his look is the biggest factor for. me The only person I ask to be in this group is Seokwon. I know for a fact #Gun is secure, and Wonho has a high probability, but my big ears baby is on very shaky ground. He just can't leave. He is just air!!!

when the ''who are you'' teasers came out i already had my eyes on Wonho he really did remind that time of Hyunsik (btob) hahaha but now i think he looks nothing like him XD and then i watched No.Mercy ep1 and Deokspatch and i begin the like Wonho more and more...i didnt even did that on purpose!! and everytime he appeared on screen i was happy to see him lol he became my bias in no time >.< yeah i really like Wonho :3 and my other fave is Kihyun. Kihyun is really amazing!! his vocals are so good! and i also really like his variety skills :D so yeah, Wonho and Kihyun are my faves :D btw what you said about Hyungwon, i think Hyungwon is pretty populair XD he is really populair.

Catherine Huang yeah true, Shownu is pretty populair, and i saw a lot people bashing Kihyun.And it did make me sad and angry because Kihyun did nothing wrong, but tbh...Kihun did really deserved to win, i dont mean that Shownu is bad 'cause he also have skills. But that round Kihyun did so much better than Shownu. and it also did hurt me people said they keep Wonho because he got the looks.....hahaha i want to see the reactions of the haters now because Wonho did show them whathe got in petto for them...hahaha and i think this is just the begin ^-^. i really hope Wonho and Kihyun will make it to debut (and Joohheon and #Gun ofcourse) yeah they are my top4 :D

I understand that it's everyone's own opinion on whether they like or dislike Minkyun, but it's sad to see everyone ganging up on him based on the few minutes they see him in every episode. I'm not a huge fan of him, but I don't think it's okay to say such rude things about him that could and probably will hurt him badly. Of course, saying you dislike his voice is totally fine, but wouldn't it be a little nicer to say it simply as "I'm not a fan of his voice" or something? I'm sorry, it's just a little painful to see alll these people saying "kick him out" and "why is he still here". You may think that he shouldn't be in the final lineup, but he's still here right now, so why not give him a chance to achieve his dreams, or at least learn about the difficult process in getting there to better himself for the possibilities in the future.

I didn't know Hitech member and YG dancer was a choreographer for Starship...cool Their dissing was so cute lol. I think Shownu is very quiet and a one word man compared of Wonho so the communication between the teams is obviously different. It seemed like Shownu was aiming more for members to stand out equally do they could balanced each other's flaws while Wonho went for the standard individual roles and everyone stood out but so did their flaws that's why it wasn't an overwhelming win or loss
