I live in flathead valley… there are other smaller lakes in the area that are way more clear than flathead lake. But even they may not be the “most clear” … the more glacier ice water the lake gets the more clear it appears
Don't know whos been sayin that. I live on the flathead and i could've told you it's not the clearest in the world. It's clear, but not that kind of clear.

I live in Flathead County and been by Flathead Lake a bunch of times. It is a very clear lake, big and beautiful. But I am not a clear lake expert, and didnt realize this was going to be a Mythbuster moment. Im more concerned about it staying clean and pristine than winning a clear lake contest. I can enjoy it all the same if its number 1 or number 100
I live in Montana so I know it is very clear I also live no a lake side cabin and I think people would love it here but I also hate when a bunch of people come
