Thanks for having me in your video! Copilot for Xcode plugin is improved a lot since I made my video on it, works even better now. Apple could just hire the author of the plugin to work in Xcode team.

I was using copilot in nvim (sacrilege I know) and it's working well! Especially great when coding from my phone with my fat thumbs and limited WPM. --- How has it been this long for xcode to get it?

I was wondering if copilote uploads to its server all the code in a workspace where it is installed. In other words, how safe is this thing ? For sensitive projects this question is really important

AI like chatGPT can be useful but I imagine it is going to lead to less maintainable code over time. People who have no idea how to code are just going to be using it to create things they don't know how to maintain by copy/pasting it. There is also the copyright issue that AI is basically regurgitating someone else's code without any license. I'm sure 90% of what it has been trained on is GPL licensed code which can't be used without making your entire app open source. What I think we're headed for with this AI stuff is a licensing nightmare, a maintainability nightmare, and a less creative internet overall (since after all, the AI cannot really create anything new - it is only useful if you are asking it to do something that has been done before). There is also the issue that you couldn't actually ask it to work on anything proprietary because it is not private. Call me old fashioned but I think I can write code well enough without any copilot.

@@AZisk not expensive, very reliable knives. The Carbon knives are especially sturdy. They come with a handy case. I don't know about foldables from them... But you have great names around when talking about knives, in USA.

You can, but pretty sure it won't work correctly (State will probably be ignored, it will be treated like any other variable in any other closure)

You can, but it doesn't quite work. The body will re-render away the state variable before it saves - notice how he couldn't actually type in that text field.
