The best way to get around London is the underground, or the tube as it is popularly called. However, it does take a bit to figure out initially. Sree and I decided to check if we could give it a shot on our own.

You may be rich, but even the rich and richer travel by tube in central London mostly. Black taxi is alright for one time experience. Surprised no one told you this before your travel plans. But If you are travelling within central London, it is always tube or bus - not taxi. Travel is indeed a leveller in a western democratic world, not just London but in most of Europe too - only exception is US - the most capitalistic country. But even there central NY is better traveled by Subway.

Good morning dear Kripal - London diaries is back . I agree it’s pretty well organised and the parks are awesome . The story about the Green Park having trees without flowers is amusing and interesting 😀 Just did a quick search on Wikipedia and here’s what I got “In 1746, Upper St. James's Park was officially renamed The Green Park. The park was an open meadow with few flowers at the time but this state may arise from a feud between Charles II of England and his Queen Consort, Catherine of Braganza. The oral history says the Queen discovered Charles had picked flowers in the park for another woman. In revenge, the Queen ordered that every single flower in the park should be pulled up and no more plan.” So there is truth behind the story . The boss’s walk has indeed got a royal swag 👍👍 Tube is the best and convenient mode of transport . It’s quite easy to follow the lines . Google map rocks 👍 I love such adventures when I travel to a new place abroad . The best experience was in a place called Bled in Slovenia 🇸🇮. Looking eagerly for your next dining Vlog at Dishum . Super Vlog and the London Diaries truly is classy . Loved every frame of this Vlog as well . Too good . Take care , stay safe and healthy. TGIF and chilling out a bit . I remember riding the Tube a few times when I went to London a few years back with my mom. It is very convenient, and the oyster card worked very well. From what I recall when I used it, you covered everything very well! I still hear the phrase, "Mind the gap", in my head every time I board any subway train in any city, lol!😅 Thank you, Amigo! Haha! I went and looked up the "urban legend" about the park after we met - thankfully, there are some articles online supporting that. Though we should never fully trust the internet :P ----------------------- Green Park covers just over 30 acres (12 ha) but has no formal flower beds. Why? Because, according to tradition, King Charles II's wife Queen Catherine of Braganza had them all removed when she found the king picking flowers there for a milkmaid that he had his eye on. So it became literally 'the green park', with no flowers. ----------------------- You got to walk by the Google HQ when you got out at King's X. Should have stopped by Platform 9 3/4 too :) Adding these to the list for the next visit ;)
