No More Heroes 2: New Destroyman Boss Fight (Dolphin 4K 60fps) 

I'm kind of happy that they exploded specifically. Imagine if they went to the trouble to find EVERY single piece of flesh that flew out of the explosion, and rebuilt an entire army of Destroymen in No More Heroes 3!

Seeing as how Destroyman is supposed to be poking fun at superheroes, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he came back seeing as how it's a popular trope in comic books for superheroes and supervillains to come back in some bizarre way or even with no explanation at all.

Hearing Josh Keaton say those very weirdly sexual lines is kinda surreal considering what he's known for...

It's weird how this fight starts off pretty fun and difficult bouncing between both of them, but once one of them is down, you have to wait 3 hours for the remaining one to fly all around the arena, try and revive the first guy, fail and repeat for the whole battle, making it very tiresome. Music is dope tho

All these years later and I am wondering how his personality works being split up like that.

Travis was a gentlemen, he turned around while he changed and even shook his hand. A real sportsman.

I guess this is what we called "A hand for a hand" And Travis rejected Shinobu and found it so sad. Because he in a way, he rejected Kimmy Howell as well.

I think the concept of this boss is cool, but it's still a pretty miserable fight.

They could have taken it one step further by having the one with destroy man’s left half acting in control, and the right one act like a hyperactive douche, do a whole left brain right brain thing.

I really hope Destoryman returns because his my most favorite assassin. But seeing how the revealed the bosses in Travis Strikes again and the setting, I don't think it's possible.

If you remember from nmh 1 Travis did show both Shinobu and Destroyman with some respect before the fight without striking them in the back

It's weird to revisit these games after getting into the Netflix Voltron series, and to realize that Allura in Shiro were in both games. Hell, the second game had Allura kill Shiro (And his asshole other half.)

I never played No More Heroes 2. But I can say that this is the hardest boss of the whole game

I never liked that we didn't get to play as Henry more then once, Shinobu felt too stiff to me and I would of preferred his controls. Most possibly the less excitable part of the game.

I 50/50 about this boss. On the one hand, the fight isn't that good. I'm currently playing on sweet difficulty so I can get a grip on the game so the fight wasn't as hard as it would normally be but it still not that great. On the other hand, I fucking love the concept of a multi personality man having two different bodies for those different personalities, if that makes sense.

I just realized both of Destroyman's personalities are split between the two. One calm and nice, one rude and vulgar.

Christ this fight was miserable. On Bitter I'd kill one underneath that platform in the corner and spend 45+ minutes camping the body for the other half to come to me again and again

Fighting him the first time was more than enough. We didn’t need a Destroyman sequel.

New Destroyman. One of the better bosses in No More Heroes 1 as Destroyman, and he becomes one of 2's worst bosses. Heck, he's in what known as the "Unholy Trinity of bosses in No More Heroes 2". And, there's a good reason for that. This fight had the potential to be good. After all, this was the assassin from No More Heroes 1 who had a split personality of being honorable and a dirty backstabber at the same time who was literally split in half by Travis and then came back from the dead. And how does this become wasted potential? A two on one fight that becomes annoying and tedious. Putting aside Shinobu's role in this fight, because I don't mind her gameplay, how the Destroy"men" coordinate their attacks can make them a major pain in the behind. And, once one of them are down, it becomes a war of attrition destroying (no pun intended) the other one because of how much he flies away from you like the coward he truly is. No matter how you go about it, it becomes monotonous, repetitive, and boring until finally Game, Set, Match. Not to mention, this fight is a major contrast to the first game. Destroyman in No More Heroes 1 might have been easier, but at least he was fun to fight. The only positives to this boss are the cutscene beforehand is good, and actually funny at points, the finisher is somewhat satisfying, and the best thing about the boss in my opinion is the boss theme. Twin Electromagic or Kill U 2wise Over is one of my favorite boss themes in the game. Its rocking tune somewhat negates some of the aggravation of fighting New Destroyman, and overall, it's a great song, but the fight itself can really leave a sour taste in your mouth, just like it did with me.
