bro!...one of the greatest reviews i've seen, well put out, thought all the way through and yet still describing every aspect the game has to offer, great job bro and ur review's rlly informed me on every essential detail of the games history and on going process through the playthrough, thnx!
That's what they're calling No More Heroes 3. Also I found "chainsaw lollipop" and "Shadows of the damned" quite short but I enjoyed every minute. I've been a Suda51 fan since "Killer7".
If Im just trying to go through great games on the Wii, should I pick up No More Heroes 2 straight away or pay the original first? I got a lot of games to play yet, thats why Im wondering
There is also a PS3 version of this game, is it the same as No more heroes 2 for Wii or is it the same as No more heroes 1 or is it an entirely different game?
Well the PS3 version looks incredible so if you want a version which looks better you can get the PS3 version and the PS3 version comes with an extra boss rush mode which the Wii version doesn't have and the PS3 version comes with some exclusive bosses from the sequel which you can play but the second one is an Wii exclusive so you can only get that for the Wii instead so I recommend getting the first no more heroes for PS3 and second for the Wii hope this helps
elementalguardian101 U sure its not the other way around, because on a game shop site it appears that 2 is for both consoles and only 1 is a wii exclusive.. im confused
is No More Heroes better than No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, or both games are good? I never played either game, but many people said the gameplay is fun. Can you change the voice acting to Japanese on either games in the US version or no?
Great review Mark. Looks like they fixed all of those problems from the first game like the driving around town and repetitive mni-games. I'll be getting this when it's ported to PAL, hopefully the blood is left in this time.
soooo why all the hate? 8.8 is what this game deserves. i absolutely hate ign but i also hate the people who will do everything they can to hate on their videos. hate to say it but this was a really good review and 8.8 is what it deserves
Suda actually said in an interview he'd consider making a No More Heroes 3 for the Wii U, but he wouldn't make it about Travis, although he'd be in it as someone you fight maybe.
Unless it turns out to be so immensely popular that they don't have it in stock, Gamefly will be shipping No More Heroes 2 to my residence by tomorrow. The first one was also released in the states, and managed to sell pretty well, which is pretty uncommon for the average non-casual Wii game that isn't made by Nintendo.
HD graphics matter about as much as blast processing. It's a nice feature, but it's not a replacement for the important things: gameplay, fun factor, replay value, and polish.
Now im stuck and stuck bad so help me out should i get this or tatsunoku vs capcom i love the capcom vs series and love the first nmh so wat should i do
Ok now im satisfied in the way this person reviewed it he didnt sound bored. I havent played the first but i want to play both. And the katana and wakizashi lightsaber thing looks cool.
@Klookko You can buy a censored and un-censored version. I think the censored version's case has a black background, but all the shops I saw it in had a red case
@Drizzle4Ever: No. More like "thumbs up if your genuinely excited". Just because I'm happy about it's port doesn't mean I hate the Wii or I'm trolling. How do you think I got excited for it. I actually LIKE the game..... Any more questions?
@BongaFish Oh its totally worth buying. Its graphics are artistically beautiful, The combat never gets old, and the story like I said has a great character arc. This is all in my opinion of course but its my favorite Wii game so far and give it my full recommendation and support :)
i picked them both up for about 14 bucks at gamestop a couple days ago. rs1 is good but you can tell it isnt refined. rs2 is amazing. its visually appealing, its very smooth, and motion plus makes it feel "realistic". not to mention your basically a ninja cowboy.
you don't know what you're talking about..to anyone that cares, 360 doesn't support 1080p, it merely upscales so it can be played on a 1080p tv set. Very few 360 titles are even in 720p.
If Travis Touchdown is in the next SSB, I'd buy it for sure. Also, I bought a Wii a couple of weeks ago with NMH2- I can see why it's so highly praised. The Wii's a great system, and anyone who defends Sony's decision to make the Playstation Move is stupid. I also agree with you about the graphics. The graphics don't make a game, the gameplay does. That's why games like Minecraft have flourished in the gaming market.
The first one was cut in a lot of countries as that was how UBI soft submitted the work. I'm sure that if the uncut version was submitted, the BBFC would have passed it 18 uncut. I just hope that UBI Soft refrain from taking this approach again.
I would play it just for the fact that it's fun and seeing Travis evolve as a character from start to finish is wonderful. However, the second one is superior in my opinion.
Is it just me, or are bozons reviews getting like 10 times better, i just saw this one and the Tats vs Cap one and im thinking, wow, he got to the point, he had some humor, did fair pros and cons, everything like that in a much better fashion. Good job Bozon
You did not play this game so you have no right to judge it. Its not a shitty game, I have the early released game, you're just trolling without thinking. Your opinion is AN OPINION, NOT A FACT
I love No More Heroes and its style and I will also admit that it can be for hard core gamers, but the wii is defenitly a casual gamers paradise. Wii always has small non-competing games like mario and zelda that are just fun to play but not any really competitive games or ( try to get everything in it) games. 360 and ps3 however have extreamly competitive games like halo and Cod plus the acheivment and trophies make all the hardcore gamers scream for joy.
They are both worth playing and 1 is really cheap. Personally I think 1 has a better story and a must play but you can skip it, you just won't know who some of the characters are.
i know what it means a person who plays a lot is considered a hardcore gamer and a person who plays sparingly is considered Casual so Farmville can be hardcore and God Of War can be casual
@TheKidDoc81 It will probably be un censored, I cant remember any game that has been censored for the UK, its usually the Aussies who have a hard time with it.
@DocRavage You're not entirely clear what it means to "lack polish," huh? If this game lacked polish, problems like this would be popping up throughout the ENTIRE GAME. And I use the term, "Problems" lightly, because I happened to like both those sections. Polish refers to the level of detail given to the game's performance as a whole, not in one or two rogue sections. If one or two arguably bad sections can blow a game's rating, that's an accusation you could make at MANY more games.
@StaringMango Zelda games, Sin & Punishment, Monster Hunter Tri, NMH1 & 2, SMG 1 & 2, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, etc. etc. The fact is that the Wii has got some of the best games for a "hardcore gamer" (whatever you mean by that) this console generation has to offer...
I don't think they're biased. From what I've seen/heard/read, the nintendo team at IGN is one of the only teams that gives accurate reviews. They actually point out flaws and annoying things and the scores reflect this, whereas the PS3 team and possibly others just seem to give 9s to every good game. If a game gets a 9, it should be amazing.
I looooved the first game! No More Heroes is one of the best games this generation, and Desperate Struggle looks even better than the original! Awesome!
@GiantSandles Neither is Muramasa, Trauma Center, Red Steel 2, House of the Dead: Overkill, Little King's Story, Monster Hunter Tri, or Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
Well, it looked like the whole idea for Wii from the beginning. This Big N system may not deliver as strong processing powers as it`s competitors but in terms of gameplay and any other aspects that could be thrown into one bag that`s named "fun", it`s a whole different experience. That`s why it`s sale scores are so high. If you own both PS3 and X360 some people may say reasonably "What do you need X360 for when you already have PS3?" (or vice versa). Both systems are really comparable.
