I think that’s the point, both the player and Travis expect this grandiose final fight against this awesome looking villain, but the game pulls the rug to reveal the dark truth behind why Travis went on this journey and who Jeane is.

Especially with how Dark Star tries to make Travis think he's his father, and Travis trying to recall Jeane's face. Woulda been better if you ask me.

My Headcanon it's that this is Dark Star theme, it fits his "Chinese Dragon" theme, also the track title suggest a "big scalpel" to make a surgery to a rocket, and Jean stole it from him lol it still fits Jean tho and i agree its absolutely awesome! Could listen it for hours!

She also killed Travis' mom who as far as we know didn't really do anything other than be married to the father. There's also the fact that she probably didn't like the life she was living either as she says she's had enough at the end of this fight right before travis kills her.

Jeane was also salty about the fact that her dad sabotaged her own mom's life. I'm not necessarily saying that Travis's mom deserved brutal death,But due to her father's treatment, she lost her sanity and can't think of anything other than mastering many techniques and kill her own dad. If I was Travis, I would find it difficult for me to chop her off but apparently she had intentions to kill her brother anyway.

But SHE wanted to kill HIM. She always wanted to kill her father and ruin the life of the favorite child. That's probably why she even became his girlfriend later (the only girlfriend Travis ever had), to break his heart even more after the revelation. The love of his life never loved him, but absolutely hated him, and killed his whole family. Of course she had a story with him for a while only to dump him. Jeane did all she could do to destroy Travis. Really, what else could she do? Kill his cat? Probably thought about that, but Travis called the cat Jeane. It was better to leave it alive to forever remind him of the girl he missed. After ALL that the only thing you could do would be to fight and kill her, because there is no way she's not going to fight and kill you. I feel for Travis… I know it's incredible to read...but me and my last ex had a similar story...
