Wake Up! He's Basically Telling you that He's Living Too Awake & wishes to be Free from this Creative Divinity but The Spirit that Possesses Him has a Perspective of ( I Love You So! I Just Can't Let You Go!) Scary!!!
whenever i look at the NYC skyline nowadays i get this eery feeling that i'm looking at something that'll be completely different by the end of the decade? almost like i'm looking at the past or through my memories
Started pickin' up these habits at a early age Gettin' faded in the madness just to cure the pain All the times I felt the stabbin' on my vertebrae My brother said if it's static, just a word away City shady with a passion, what we heard today But try to take me out this planet, out this world of hate I took the stage and I was damaged, my determined ways And took my lady to a casket out the pearly gates Pearled and blazed it, held the cake I was hurtin', savin' niggas who wouldn't do the same Gave my purpose out to niggas who was choosin' fame The truth amazing So thinkin' about it make me sick of what they do to hang They try to frame me like I'm trippin', they will loot the game 'Cause when it wasn't for a minute, who was movin' strange? Too soon to say Me, I just pursue the pavement, this polluted maze Tryna get the mood raisin' and accumulate Found out that my tomb been waitin' while I zoot and pray Honestly, the youth been dazin', livin' too awake Uh, I'm livin' too awake
Artists like MIKE really pushed hiphop in a limitless direction. No texture, flow, time signature, etc is off limits anymore. Wish I was coming up in this era 🖤🖤🖤 Edit: Please stay out of my replies if you can’t read
But that’s the thing. The cadence’s actually are on point. It sounds off compared to typical cadence we have been accustomed to with “general” hip hop. There isn’t anything off about it.
@@perc3072 I don’t think he know what he even saying! They think artist like MIKE are new to hip hop. Nah you just hearing it more because of the internet.
Too Sweet To Lose by Donald O'Connor. I literally went to go find the songs for you cuz I didn't know the song either then I came back to look for your comment which wasn't easy lol
This is what music felt like when I first ever heard it. 1 month later and am now fairly acquainted with SLUMS & the whole gang. Damn shame y'all not together anymore but we move. 🙏🏿
