I just got a 1999 es 300 for 1 dollar. A garage queen california car. Owner went into nursing home sadly. They didnt want to service car. Its a real cream puff. 80400 miles on it. everything works on it. interior perfect. Its in shop getting a timing belt water pump pullies and tensioner and seals. normal maintenance for this car. Betya mine is way nicer. spare and jack never touched. Soon after I use it for a while its gonna be sold or given away I dont need 4 cars. Oh chrome lexus rims too. I got multiple offers while getting the car smoged..
@@jackbanxian Landlords car she went into nursing home at 92. i serviced car for 10 years. (I am a tennt in rental)They had to clean home out to rent they were overloaded. plus they did not want to do timing belt or any maintenance beyond oil changes. they wanted a good home for car. I had timing belt pump pullies and allseals done for 1300. so car cost 1301.. I got a gorgeous grand father clock for zip.. winter project. it pays to be nice to landlord. But the 1300 was just normal maintenance 25 year old belt I aint driving it.. i love the car.. I keep her straw hat on rear seat.. reminds me of her..
Wow that has been incredibly well cared for. It would be so hard to sell though because most buyers aren't going to appreciate why something like this is worth 5-7k, they're just going to see 20 year old car
Watching this makes me think of how FAR cars have come in the last 25 years. This doesn't really look too fancy nowadays -- but of course, cheap cars in the 90s were CHEAP. My problem is that the interior looks mostly the same as a loaded 90s Camry to me. Seems like Lexus still had a more "Honda/Acura" relationship with Toyota back then.
5k miles a year, garaged ... what would you expect from a Lexus driver? My grandmother always referred to her low-mile 2010 RX as a "total cream puff!!!" and she was right. It's still in the family. A lot of these cars are coddled.
Waited til I came back to work tonight to watch this...I WANT ONE 👀 I have a 2002 Toyota Avalon. Just passed 300k (50k on the transmission), paperwork was over an inch thick, clean as hell...I still want this though lol What did it go for?
