President Obama did something similar; he removed Sir Winston Churchill's bust from the White House. President Trump returned the bust to its rightful place after he took Office.
@@billwellington4339 If her picture made him feel uncomfortable, then imagine how he would feel going uo against her in Parliament?? he would wet himself !😂
MT was such a strong PM with such conviction. MT had such an allegiance to Britain and would have stood against the destructive politician’s attitudes and behaviours we are witnessing and being subjected to today ✊
@@variaxi935who cares about that pos, thatcher had her detractors but one thing is certain she wouldn’t have let our country be destroyed in the way it is currently. She stood up for this country and its people and didn’t take any crap from other countries.
The ones we have now may well be our enemies for All the disruption and bringing it's county to its knees even Hitler couldn't do that!! imagine Maggie was here they'd all be cowering in the corner she wouldn't allow any politician to put other countries or people's before our own or any other flag being flown before our own!!! they are ALL bloody HYPOCRITES and TRAITORS in Parliment to day!! she wasn't Always emwhat we wanted but she Loved her county and Not one of them to day could hold a candle to her!! 🇬🇧
Love her or loathe her, Margaret Thatcher was one of the strongest most opinionated pm,s this country has ever seen, and this country needs her double her right now
Maggie was an utter legend & even people who I know disliked her now say they wish we had leaders ike her instead of the absolute fairy’s & woke cowards we have now
I was only a teenager in Rural Ireland when Mrs Thatcher was PM and even then, I hugely respected her strong leadership - many years later, as an Irish patriot here in Manchester U.K., she has been proven correct on so many issues and I just wish that we had leaders of her strength and calibre today 🇮🇪☘️🇬🇧😍🙏
@@williampatrickfagan7590 She wasn’t called the Iron Lady for nothing either. She had her faults but there are some interesting interviews she gave o here on RU-vid. The one I was surprised at was the one where she said she didn’t want to get rid of unions and said they were needed. Just there must be a balance between the rights of the management to manage and the workers right not to be exploited. She did believe in Great Britain and its people and government from the UK not Brussels. No wonder Starmer removed her portrait as he probably felt she was looking down on him with disgust.
@@davideyres955 She also employed state sponsored terrorism. The assassination of 3 unarmed people in Gibraltar. The assassination of human rights solicitor and officer of the Court Pat Finnicunne in front of his wife and Children as confirmed in the House by PM Cameron.
A woman with bigger ⚽S than all of our subsequent make leaders combined! I was only about 9 or 10 when she came to power and by the time I was old enough to vote I didn't vote for her party, but if she was in power now - she would get my vote!
What the heck are you talking about. She did most of this!!! The vastly expensive rail water electricity no council housing etc are all without exception the result of her policy!
she stared the rot with her nasty vicious politics of self where the miners strike had whole committees smashed and has the army used against them to hillsborough and the Poll tax a horrible nasty idiocy has been left behind
@@minui8758No, she didn't the mess we are in with immigration and metaphorically bashing the 1C1 male mentality all due to changes directly linked to Blair and Brown's tenure
@@dominiclane8538indeed it has. Mostly thanks to her. Our rivers have been destroyed and we’re all paying about 3 times over the odds for rail, electricity, water and gas
She loved profit for her mates. Where are our public rail, water, gas and electricity companies gone and why do I have to have a bank account the size of Rothschild to get a train from Gloucester to London?
Mad thing is she's our first, only female PM (forgetting Ms May, she wasnt around long enough to count) and she had bigger balls than any male PM that followed her.
so much for the other side, the "progressives" have always put up a Małe for the leader of the party... The more things change, the more things stay the same...
She had her faults especially at the latter end of her time, but many of us believe Russia would never have entered Ukraine if her and Trump were in power - not from fear, but because of mutual respect amongst strong leaders who would have resolved the problem without so many deaths.
@@paulsz6194 so? Henry VIII, Cromwell, Napoleon, and Stalin all achieved more than me too. Who’s trying to compete with wicked people for net historical achievement? A positive impact on just your own loved ones is much to be preferred to a vast negative impact on whole nations
@@minui8758 Ah, great then. Yet you still have the drive to become the quintessential armchair critic ! You like to criticise other but having nothing better to offer. I guess your last time is throwing stones from the shadows at others…Do you empathise for the workers who have no job after the last coal fired power station closed down under starmers watch? People complained about the coal miners strike back then, but she taught a lesson that the Government won’t buckle to every unions demand. All start we has done in his 100 days is complain about the mess that was left for his government to clean up, yet the illegal boat arrivals have hardly had a dent in their trade. I’m not saying The Tories don’t do it, but it’s just become a finger pointing game with no real action on anything…
She never once took those positions when doing the actual negotiations! She signed every single treaty that came her way! She did get stuff back, no doubt. But she never once walked away from the table.
England would NOT be in the Dire , and deplorable situation it is in these days if Margaret Thatcher was the PM..!!!! She stood up for Britain, and moved the Country in the Right Direction..!!!
Personally met her. She was a nice lady, talked like she was my mother. She got some things wrong but she was strong/compassionate and loved our country. Shame about our leader today.
so when is Starmer going to save you? Have you paid your tribute to him? Clearly Brown did do much for the UK. You still must be in tears that Jeremy Corby didn't get in...😢😂
I disliked Maggie thatcher, I was a teenager when she was in power. She brought in the Poll tax, and YTS schemes. 40 hours of work for £19.50 , then you had the miners strike. Even her own party ousted her. I believe we wouldn’t have the problem with the boats coming over though.
As they used to say, the only man in The Cabinet. Loved her oratorial ability❤ Miss the political discussion and debate back in that day.....the standard and quality of today's politicians is woefully infantile.
I didn't always agree with her policies, and I'll never forgive what she did to the miners. But MT loved this country dearly. She must be turning in her grave.
I never really like her or many of her policies but she was a 100% on that one! When you think of what she got away with but as soon as this came up she was stabbed in the back by weasels
At least she got outcomes for the country. Ended the Miner's strike. Now, under Labour ALL coal fired power stations have now closed down. Are you paying your tribute to Starmer, then?..
