Good information, would like to know for the basstrix when, where and how you would fish it. I assume more like a worm and popping it up and down off the bottom. Still trying to understand for time of year what to be throwing.
Jonny, I hate to say it, but I have not had the same experience using the Ozark rig in brush. I find it easy gets wedged up against branches with the way the weight hangs below the bait. I've been rigging it through the top side of the worm, rather than the point of the worms head, so maybe I should try it the later way.
Jonny, The Ozark Rig has caught me hundreds of LM bass this year. Two minnow style baits that work for me: BBB Jerk Minnow 5" (smoke MF pearl color) and Jackall Rhythm Wag 3.8" on a 1/8oz 4/0 hook. Most of the fish hit it on the fall but I also catch them with a slow crank back in. If you rig the bait straight the bait will move side to side like a fluke. My best bait for the Rig is a BPS Stick-O 6" worm. I would like to see a paint color to match these shad colored baits, hint.
