In this episode I discuss known causes for pulmonary fibrosis (lung scarring). Not all cases of pulmonary fibrosis are "idiopathic" (= of an unknown cause). In many situations, there is another condition, an event in the patient's history or an environmental exposure which has lead to the lung scarring.
*I also forgot to mention in the video that certain medications or previous radiation therapy can also sometimes be responsible for pulmonary fibrosis.
