Yeah it's difficult in a typical job to keep those boundaries professional while maintaining a decent relationship with your employees. I can't imagine a place like this. It makes me have a lot of respect for my boss. She's actually younger than a few of us, but she really does such a great job at balancing the two. I know that her door is always open if I need to talk about something personal (I've literally sat and sobbed in her office before) but I also know that she takes her role as leader very seriously, I respect her authority more than I ever have for any other boss, the few times I've messed up in the 7 years I've been there, it felt awfult to disappoint her, even though she's never yelled at me or anything. It's a delicate line to walk and she does it well. I'd never want to be a boss in a million years 😅

Sometimes one kind person who appreciates you makes all the difference

You're so lucky my teacher/mentor would basically tell everyone "be friends with him" which makes things worse. I'm sure in his head he's a righteous human being. For info: he's always boasting about he was college student abroad, and he has a great mind, all of those 'I'm great' bullshit.

Similar happened to me haha. I usually didn't eat lunch, I didn't have anyone to sit with anyway- so I'd hide in the library. Sometimes teachers would let me hang out in the classroom too

It's not Ian himself that's intimidating, it's that he owns the company they work for that is. Hopefully Anthony makes a point to sit with Ian if he's alone after this (which with how much Anthony has shown to be a caring soul on camera he probably will, but I can understand him before this wanting to create a bond with new cast that didn't know who TF he was)

They are genuine and serious quite regularly. People who can never be sincere and only joking would never have a following for this long

Depends on the work culture in your country. In the US teachers and bosses are higher in hierarchy in many ways. Where I live (Finland) teachers are called by their first name, and we don't say Mrs. or Dr. about anyone. And generally bosses are very much on the same level with their employees, eating together and such. So it's a culture difference too.

I'm pretty sure anthony does, there's always insta story of them next to each other haha. The others might not

I think that people at Smosh will always treat Ian and Anthony a bit differently because even though they are all close they are still the bosses

i mean, it's kinda understandable if the cast find it a bit awkward to sit next to either of their bosses (i'd be awkward lunching with my boss lol) but yeah anthony is on par with him so he should sit there smh
