I have a question does supply crate count as caskets and chest? since its a box with random loot... cause wintertodt would be a good way to earn various logs, ores , herbs, seeds and also higher level fish ( shark and swordfish) outside of bignet fishing
Unfortunately not, I can't find a way to argue crates as chests at all, but wintertodt would also devalue a lot of chests and give them no use so I kept it out of the series!
you can also do shades of morton , burn shades for keys so you can open chests there , you will also get tons of prayer xp , but the problem lies on how to get logs
@@ageofampire2 Watch episode 2 for some shades content! The main drawback was killing shades which hurt, so getting protect from melee is huge for there, so wanted to get it here first before the big shades grind!
@@Tellacon i tried shades i did 1500 urium, but overall it is faster (on main) to just do wintertodt and buy dragon bones and do slayer in the time saved to get back the spent money , you can afk kill them with guthans but that will take you a long time to get
Since you can’t get Ava’s you should put the drop timer or whatever it’s called that way you don’t have to pick up your arrows immediately and know how long before the darts/arrows respawn.
11:55 I'm pretty sure it's because you have the smooth animation plugin turned on, it works by adding frames between what osrs already shows to make the animation look nicer, and that includes adding frames between you throwing it and resetting into your hand. Something simply decided that the easiest way to add those frames in would be to have the knife spin around you
Correct, its cause its procedural/made with AI. The best animation to see with it if you ever wanna have a laugh is basilisk knights btw. They break so bad lol
love how strict you are about the rules. a lot of people would allow themselves to use any items they get on the way to the chests(you can see a lot of comments about that), but youre purely only using items from chests. big respect.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but if you're looking for an excuse to train combat stats on low level enemies, the champion's challenge has some rewards that come from a chest, so you could go for any of the champion scrolls as long as you have 32 quest points. Also, I'm not sure if it fits your rules, but if you can get an ash sanctifier, then technically you can spend chest acquired death runes to convert ashes into prayer xp.
If you want to save time hopping worlds in the HAM storeroom, getting caught pickpocketing the guards breaks their patrol and makes them stand in place. You can also aim them away from the doors by failing a pickpocket and keeping them from aggroing when you pick the doors.
You can get weapon poison(++) for the bone dagger, but I think you'd have to make it yourself. - Stone chests can give you belladonna seeds and poison ivy seeds for nightshade and poison ivy berries respectively - There's several other chests (raids, Brimstone/Larran's keys) for palm tree seeds to get coconuts for coconut milk You could also get lucky with farming contracts, of course.
i really love this series, and the crazy old content have to dig out of the ground for training prayer, keep up the good work! By the way: I think the "stabbing yourself in the back with the throwing knives" is a result of the RuneLite Animation Smooting plugin, not OSRS itself.
not guna lie... the way you brought the bones to the alter was actually insane... are you crazy? it takes that long and you out bringing full inventories?! why in the world...? surely you bring max bones and never bring more than 3 of your better bones at a time... so you always protect them. i realize this is 7 months old... but the time investment to get them and then just hoping you dont get attacked is actually insane lol
12:00 in case you're actually curious, it looks that way because of the animation smoothing plugin smoothly transitioning from the end of the animation back to the start again.
Hey i just gota say i love your content. Its great to see all the forgotten content come into play, it almost brings a nostalgic feeling for the game. Keep it up mate
dont remember if there was a reason you cant do this but for training prayer couldn't you do shades of morton? getting logs might be hard but would probably be better than ogre coffins
I will be doing a lot of shades! If I didn't showcase ogre coffin I wouldn't really have another use for it, and nails were important, butt someone else brought up I could've just.. smithed nails lmao
Fun fact, you can actually poison your bone dagger eventually - Tombs gives both Coconut Milk & Cactus Spines. It's just... you probably won't need it by then. Also, is Morytania Hard on the chopping block eventually? Seems like a huge buff for the chest. Would the rest of the rewards from it be valid to use, or only the chest aspect?
Because morytania hard doesn't 'unlock' me the chest and isn't required for it, I'm unfortunately not allowed to do it! However.... hey if my first ToA gives me some weapon poison I'd be so happy 👀
@@Tellacon Ah, dang! I thought a buff to a chest counted as a chest-related unlock similar to the upgrades to the culinarimancer chest. But those are happening because of quests related to other chest unlocks, not because of the upgrades themselves.
yesss I'm so proud of myself for correctly guessing the ogre coffins! That area of the game is so weird and I was reading up on it on the wiki not long ago.
Technically, purchase an upgraded device from ava is a medium lumbridge diary task. The elite lumbridge tier offers a 20% discount on items from the culinaromancers chest. Id say that probably makes it count as progress towards chest related content. but up to you if you agree ofc Haha
he only does content that leads to unlocking chests, and even then hes only allowed to use it to unlock the chest. hes not allowed to just use anything he gets on the way to the chest. he can do the quest, but he cant use the reward because it has nothing to do with a chest.(like how hes allowed to pick up limps for a quest, but cant use them for herblore) if he was allowed to use anything semi-adjacent to chests he could pick up all the loot from sand crabs, etc, but he doesnt. If this was the case he could basically go do wildy slayer and pick up a bunch of supps from the monsters, but he can only pick up and use larran's keys. i could see him allowing himself to get the diary for the discount, but not be able to use the items he obtains on the way. you could still argue it for stuff like frings tho. Hes very strict that items he gets must come from chests, not from the stuff on the way to the chest. Like he can kill red dragons to get a grubby key, but he cant use the bones or hides, only the key and supps from the chest.
Do you count crates as chests ? I feel they should and with wintertod that would let you train woodcutting - I fill they are like the boxes from camdozal also are you gonna do tempoross for caskets ? Those are good
I wish a lamp was a chest, but I have no way to argue it, and in the Spirits of the Elid quest the genies lamp kinda sits on a table, so I couldn't even argue is that way haha
I can kill sarachnis, but I can only pick up grubby keys and clues, chest locked doesn't mean I can use anything on a drop table that drops a key, or it'd be a lot less fun! Kree'Arra drops crystal keys, so suddenly I'd be able to have full arma and it just ruins the series 😅
Nope! If every clue casket was locked behind an item then yes, I could get it, but because I can open clue caskets without those items, they're not valid to obtain
Not sure if you do this already but when using the clay I believe making tea cups gives the most xp per clay as it gives you 4 cups to fire per soft clay.
I can argue a safe is a chest sure, but I think the only place it can help is the h.a.m storeroom as I'm not sure I can pickpocket anything else, and 50 agility is gonna take awhile
You can get weapon poison for the dagger from ankou in stronghold of security, They can be a bit tanky but its a 1/50 droprate and once your range level allows you could probably train there for a bit, you can also safespot there too so you can stay for a good while on minimum supplies.
11:17 they mean the same thing historically. As "dead mans chest" reffers to a casket. Not treasure and dates well into the 1500s. (Translated to latin tho)
It's a good question, but for me personally whether banking at a chest, or a booth, it adds nothing and takes away nothing from the series or to the gameplay or challenge of the account, so I just allowed all banks to keep it more simple and engaging
I always wondered, why ourge... ougre... bougre... (WTF they called. Sorry, I'm not an English man) was so expensive. Now I understand. Thank you for new video. So much good content, I already want to see what's this account will be capable of doing in a near future)
You should make a little 8-10 second intro edit for your series. I've seem a lot of snowflake Ironmen bo and and I think it would add a little more pizzazz to your series. Loving it!
@Tellacon go watch Tileman episode 2 from settled. That's kinda what I'm talking about. When you get new viewers who start on a random episode, it might help you keep them as a viewer where they're not lost right away. There's a couple other series that make a short intro to summaries their accounts. I'll see if I can give you more examples
@Tellacon I think because your account is so unique l, it deserves its own intro so new people can get the point of your account/goals right away. But it's just a suggestion, you're killing it!
You should be able to spend GP you've earned from alching/selling things from chests. This could save you so much time collecting runes, just buy them with cash you've earned. Imo Edit: You can always do rc minigame? Rewards are from chests actually
Hello! The rewards guardian in GOTR (RC mini game) unfortunately is not a chest, also I can spend money and need alot of it, but allowing shops ruins a lot of the theorycrafting and gameplay of the account for me, there are chests that give runes, why not use them!
