*Ingredients:*
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- Whipping cream (for decoration)
- Sugar syrup (for decoration)
*Instructions:*
1. *Prepare the Baking Pan:*
- Grease a baking pan with oil or butter and line it with parchment paper. This will ensure the cake doesn’t stick to the pan.
2. *Mix the Wet Ingredients:*
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the 2 eggs using a whisk or electric mixer until they become light and frothy.
- Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the eggs and continue beating until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
- Pour in 1/2 cup of oil and 1 tbsp of vanilla essence, mixing thoroughly until everything is well incorporated.
3. *Prepare the Dry Ingredients:*
- In a separate bowl, sift together 2 cups of flour, 2 tbsp of cocoa powder, and 1 tbsp of baking powder. This will ensure there are no lumps and the dry ingredients are well mixed.
4. *Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:*
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently with a spatula or a whisk. Mix until you have a smooth, lump-free batter.
5. *Prepare for No-Oven Baking:*
- If you don't have an oven, you can use a large, heavy-bottomed pot or a deep pan with a lid. Place a trivet or an inverted heatproof dish inside the pot to create a platform for the baking pan.
- Preheat the pot on a medium flame for about 10 minutes.
6. *Bake the Cake:*
- Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Place the baking pan on the trivet inside the preheated pot. Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the cake bake for about 45 minutes. Avoid opening the lid frequently to ensure even baking.
7. *Check for Doneness:*
- After 45 minutes, check the cake by inserting a toothpick or skewer into the center. If it comes out clean, the cake is done. If not, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes and check again.
8. *Cool the Cake:*
- Once the cake is baked, remove it from the pot and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, remove the cake from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
9. *Decorate the Cake:*
- Once the cake is completely cool, you can decorate it with whipping cream and sugar syrup.
- Whip the cream until it forms stiff peaks and spread it evenly over the cake.
- Drizzle with sugar syrup to add moisture and sweetness to the cake.
10. *Serve and Enjoy:*
