In this video I will be sharing my honest thoughts about the September 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit not being a Halloween theme this year. Be sure to watch if you need Halloween ideas in 2023! I'm announcing what I plan to do next.

I love the fact I don't have to pause my PP KIT this year! Just don't have kids to make for anymore. So I guess I am TEAM ANYTHING ELSE.

I am thrilled that there is no Halloween Kit. I suspend that month. I hope they continue this trend of no Halloween. We have 250 kids and there is no way I can afford to make treat boxes for that many.

So glad … I always suspended my kit when there were kid-like holiday kits; this includes Halloween. They have had too many kid-like cards kits the last two years, making my 12-month prepaid Paper Pumpkin last 20 months.

No Halloween is wonderful. Change is good. We have Halloween in the mini catalog that can take care of your holiday. I to make three D products for my husband's employees. The new look of the September looks beautiful. Please think positive on the September box, give it a try. I'm still going to use the new Halloween to make little gifts. They are adults. I’m thrilled! I don’t have to suspend my PP this month! We don’t celebrate Halloween. The kit you showed is beautiful, but I would like something NOT floral and more fall themed! Maybe even masculine themed?

There are plenty of cute Halloween stamps in the catalogs, I really like the fall theme rather than Halloween themed this year in Paper Pumpkin. I would prefer fall them verses Halloween.

I was so sad to hear of this! I always order the September kit and typically only the September kit because I get so much joy in opening a Halloween themed kit. I’m sure there are other Halloween crafting kits I can get elsewhere but I will definitely be missing paper pumpkin this year. :(

I'm sorry, but I just found out about this, and that is what I've been waiting for, in fact, that is the reason why I started getting paper pumpkin. Because I love the Halloween and the Christmas. As a Canadian I'm glad there is a fall/gratitude theme to this months paper pumpkin. Our Thanksgiving is mid October. This is my first year as a pp subscriber so i can't comment on other years

Not a Happy Camper, I have subscribed to Paper Pumpkin since day one and have always loved the crafty Paper Pumpkin kits. If people didn't want to do a Halloween kit they have the option to skip it, guess I will have to find treat packages someplace else.

I miss the Halloween kit. I loved making treat boxes. I wish they had told us that we were not having a Halloween kit. I was expecting some new stamps for Halloween. Oh well, I will find my older kits. I know how to make a treat box.

I don't mind not having a Halloween kit this year, although I am surprised at the change. I am not big on Halloween and I am not crazy about treat boxes in general. But I do have family members I would send cards to for Halloween and the Paper Pumpkin kits usually fit the bill for that.

I appreciate that you are reaching out for feedback-- it is nice to see other's thoughts, ideas, and feelings. I send Halloween cards, but don't generally make treat boxes except as table favors for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think the September kit is very pretty and I plan to make cards with it and save the treat packaging to use on my Thanksgiving table. I have so many Halloween products in my stash that it is not a deal breaker to me that the September kit is fall/floral themed. My personal preference is more of a "vintage" style of Halloween products -- for example, I love the older SU stamp set called "Witches Night" The newer SU products for Halloween don't appeal to me -- no bashing intended, just expressing my opinion. I suspect SU made this change because many subscribers were skipping the kits intended for Halloween treat packaging.

It’s always hard to pls everyone with change. With as large as Stampin Up! is, it makes sense that things will change up sometimes. I’ve always make due with fall themed ideas when Halloween came in PP. I love that it’s a fall theme 🍂🍁 I will say that we love to celebrate the harvest season.

I just received and opened my kit and found your video asking the Halloween question. I am not a celebrator of halloween. I love the Fall theme. I would have skipped this month as I have done in the past if it had been halloween themed.

I always suspended my pp when it was Halloween. There is about a month and a half for customers to buy & make from the mini catalogue. Lots of videos online to make treat packaging as well as what is already available at su.

If they weren’t doing fall or Halloween, they should have done the online exclusives with that. By the time customers can order from the catalog, it’s almost too late to get your order and made by Halloween.

I love making Halloween cards and crafts. I am often not excited with PP. Once in awhile I will get one. I agree with another poster that said SU should have had a Halloween kit-perfect solution.

I saw that the September paper pumpkin was With Love and Gratitude. My kids are grown and my grandkids are past trick or treat. But, I did enjoy making the treats for family. I’m wondering why they didn’t have a kit in our kits selection to take the place of the Paper Pumpkin Halloween kit. This would please everyone. I am surprised that the mini catalog is going live so late in the season. As a demonstrator, I can order this month, but I think September is too late to start any of the holiday crafting.

I am very disappointed that it is not a Halloween theme. That is almost always my favorite kit of the year. I have grandchildren that I use the September Halloween kits for. It has also become a tradition for us too. We have plenty of floral Paper pumpkin kits. My next favorite kits are usually the October and November which are normally Christmas. But last years ones were awful. I am actually very seriously considering cancelling my paper pumpkin subscription if they are not going to still have these seasonal kits anymore. Not to mention that the quality has gone down too. I am pretty sad about this.

Halloween is the most fun!!! I was VERY disappointed not to have the Halloween kit this time. I also was disappointed in the recent catalog. I did not see A SINGLE THING in there that I wanted to buy. Getting ready to give up being a demonstrator over the poor selection

I’m SO disappointed, I look forward to the Halloween kit. I always use them for my special neighbors kids. I do the same and set out a table with the treat boxes. There is always the October kit for being a Fall kit. So glad I found your video I am going to use a digital kit from Tracie Fox Creative ( not stampinup related) for treat boxes.

Very disappointed there is not a fall/Halloween kit!!! Maybe they will stop Christmas too?? I'm so tired of all the flowers and happy birthday, thank you, amazing, sympathy stamps!! How many of them do we need? They are in EVERY KIT!! How about some different themes and different sentiments..I'm about to cancel my paper pumpkin subscription

I have been a Paper Pumpkin subscriber for the past seven years. A couple of times, I suspended my subscription for the Halloween kit. I love Halloween but I now do not have kids to whom I would give these treat boxes to take to school. I love Fall and the beautiful changing colors of the Season. So, I think I would rather have a Fall themed PP kit and I would use my stamp sets for Halloween cards. And BTW- the worst Halloween PP kit was the year there were plastic test tubes to decorate and put in candy! There is no way to cut down a test tube and make an alternative card!

I use September kit for my neighbor who has 15 grandkids. Normally, I don’t buy the the Halloween sets in the mini Catalog, but I did order the bundle with the little bag die, so I will be using that to make my treats for my neighbor.

I am incredibly disappointed to learn that we will not have the kits for Halloween. My daughter is a teacher and I always make them for her class. Thank you for offering to sharesome Halloween ideas! I'm happy it's not Halloween themed. I usually suspend my subscription for September. However, I believe we have TOO many floral. I love the idea of gratitude and thankfulness but would have loved a more fall look and not just another floral set.

I’m SO glad there’s no Halloween kit!!! I NEVER buy that kit - I always pause my subscription at that time. I think using the mini catalog and creating alternatives is sufficient, even though it’s a bit less cost effective. Halloween can be a bit controversial, especially among many Christian communities. I didn’t understand that before, but the more I gathered knowledge and information, I now understand.

This was a unique kit that many of us look forward to. It's easy enough to just pause your subscription and not get it. We get nothing!! There are tons of cars kits each year from PP. I am greatly saddened by this. There are not even any easy to make treat kits out there during Halloween.

@nancyann1090 SO sorry, I can understand. Perhaps they could feature a Halloween Kit in their Kits collection during summer so all interested could purchase one. However, I don't think SU will stop creating PP with Halloween themes. I think this is a one-off for this year. I'm sure they'll go back to it next year. SU does their best to please their customer base as much as possible. Maybe there were customers who suggested a Fall-ish vs. Halloween kit in the past.

And yes, it is easy enough for me to pause my subscription, luckily. There're been many kits I haven't been pleased with, so I pause it various times in the year. I would love to see a fall set with a scarecrow. We haven't had one for years. I am not happy with the Mini Catalog being a month later, it threw all of my customers off. It doesn't line up, time wise, with allowing us to make a large amount of Halloween treats. I would like to see the Fall-oween kits.

I specifically signed up for PP after seeing the awesome Halloween kits and alternatives the demonstrators dazzle me with. I was counting on it for my treat or treat handouts. I was crushed to see September's kit. So, I took some muslin mini bags I already had and will use an old sponge stamp for decoration. It's a pumpkin. I will not be subscribing again. I took my chance to be surprised....and I was. Not in the way I expected. Oh, well! I'll suspend what's left in hopes that the Valentine's kit isn't flowers lol.

I love the Halloween kits and am disappointed. But SU is a business and they make business decisions with a goal of profit. If Demos and customers don’t get an option for the PP Halloween kit, they will likely spend more money on items from the mini catalog and still get the PP. If PP subscribers don’t like the Halloween themed kits, they will skip it, so less money for SU. I personally think the more customer friendly choice would have been to provide a Halloween kit option in the kits collection as an online exclusive. And I agree, that we have way too many florals and I am so over all the florals.

I’m so happy to see this video. I signed up for your fb group for Halloween. I don’t have small children anymore, no grandkids, and no trick or treaters any longer. I am still highly DISAPPOINTED that the PP is not Halloween based. I don’t care about the ppl that don’t like them and skipped them that month. Halloween is once a year. We get other kits all year long. Once a year is no big deal. How about SU doesn’t do a Valentines kit. I can’t send my husband 15 valentines.
