I fucking love MC Ballyhoo ( Or in this case DJ Hallyboo ) in terms of a character/Mario Party Host. So to see him show up as representation for the old “Piracy Screen phase” in a song whose presentation is…outstanding, it made my jaw DROP. I do admit that I got pretty upset for how poor my tracing was apparently to the game. Got a few game overs until I realized I could just, scribble instead. This song is still truly a bop!
@@SERMareep2007 The character DJ Hallyboo in the Mario Party DS anti piracy series is a separate character from the host in Mario Party 8, although their appearances are identical
Haha, yeah! I kind of forgot myself that “MC Hallyboo” is the real name and “DJ Ballyhoo” is the “Piracy Character”. Fixed that up! Still though, I love that funky little dude piracy or not. Along side Mario Party 8, I’ve got a lot of good memories.
Absolutely! MP8 was a huge part of my childhood so I'll always have a big spot in my heart for him. I never actually saw the version of the MPDS anti piracy screen featuring Ballyhoo, so when I saw him here I almost spat out my drink because I thought it was Hallyboo. Close enough though! Absolutely love this song!
I love the writing mechanic, not only is it one of the few times where the cursor is useful in a FNF song, but it makes you feel more and more anxious as the timer almost reaches zero when you're barely finished and it makes it heart-racing because you won't know what your accuracy will be. But what makes it all the more struggling, is that it makes you barely be able to catch a break, because unlike most FNF songs, you can't relax and put your hands to rest when (and while) the opponent goes solo.
Honest to god freaked out when this song started. I had NO IDEA of its existence, and literally everything about it was an AMAZING surprise! Yes, even the writing mechanic. … *Especially* the writing mechanic. :)
Something I'dve wanted to see, despite voicelines being difficult to pull off correctly 0:22 background music loops for a spiel, "You think this is a joke? This is serious. Piracy is no party." "Beep" 1:09 during BF's part, "We'll stay here for as long as it takes for you to learn" 1:49 music pauses a moment, "I'm not asking" 2:29 "you can't keep getting away with this!"
The fact that this video almost has a million views is no doubt impressive and shows that this is one of the great songs from the mod. Here’s hoping that this actually does get to and passed that million views threshold.
I love how in this mod's V2 version, theycdont make you worry about mechanics when you are singing. They always use the mechanics after you're done with the verse/when there is downtime. Compare Powerdown V1 footage to Powerdown V2 footage and notice when they do the jump thing It gives the player the chance to focus on one thing at a time
I am not surprised about Kenny's Constant Bangers being my favorites across the areas. No Party was one of the songs I was looking forward to and it doesn't disappoint me one bit, what with the drawing mechanic, the music, and even the cool little Mario Party Startup screen. Side Note: While I didn't hear the other Game Over Music as I rarely lost any of the songs, the one for this song is absolutely beautiful, truly makes you feel like a loser for not even being able to play a pirated game well.
Marco Antonio ya afirmó que está es la última versión de Mario madness y con justa razón pero igualmente nos deja con uno de los mejores mods de todo fnf
If they're ever gonna make a V3 of marik madness, They better add an undo button in the gimmick, Cuz sometimes you can get dicked pretty hard when you notice you have drawn the word wrong and when you're bar is a little up, instead of drawing your way, The song is quite the perfectionist and expects you to draw it perfectly
hermano amo esta cancion, suena hermosa abosolutamente y muuuy genal de verdad, un peak bien isano no se si hables español, pero muy bien trabajo hecho de tu parde de verdad, eres un gran compositor enserio, sigue asi amiko
this whole song is a pleasure musically and artistically. the mechanic is cool in concept but a little unresponsive, but other than that it's literally perfect. everyone on the team KILLED it with this mod
1:32 I love how it sounds like BF is trying to convince DJ that he isn’t a bad person, then Hallyboo, after some consideration is like: *_”Nah, you’re a thief!”_*
This song is crazy asf, that mechanic is super cool. The part where you have to write “CRIMINAL” feels super intense and also makes you feel like all eyes are on YOU. That’s a feeling hard to pull off in fnf mods i’d think and it’s done amazingly here. Absolute great work to everybody on the team
I especially love how the screen goes pitch black save for a spotlight that points to the board where you write the words during that part. It makes it feel so much more urgent!
*Now just what have you done to get yourself in this situation? *Last I checked, the only way to get this guy on your ass is to pirate mario party. *Now listen, no one's perfect, but *I can't support a dirty pirate. Get outta here.
I didn’t, I got teleported to a pirated version of Mario party and now this guy thinks I was the one who stole the copy, and now I have to write an apology to him
This song really screams “This man is going to incarcerate you and laugh at you about it” Absolutely fantastic, the DJ couldn’t have gotten a better song
I love it when songs don't just make you hear something, they make you FEEL something, in this case, it makes you feel like you need to concentrate to come out on top in this showdown, with everything on the line, and odds against you
@@AlyxTheProtogen and the fact that you're apologizing the whole time to someone who controls the party from the shadows, really just makes it all go together perfectly. Also the guitar, the guitar goes hard
Fun fact: he and Juno both worked on the game over theme! (Party’s over, is on his channel! If you’re interested, give it a listen!) (hallyboo has some lines in the track referencing the series, the most notable being 2 lines about Luigi, and not serving criminals)
1:32 reminds me of that part in the finale where the pirate gives his speech about why pirating mario party is justified, ascends and overall has great takes, then hallyboo just pulls out the "Piracy... Is nooo party :)"
Of all the different creepy Mario media that deserved to be represented, Piracy Is No Party is definitely one of them. Hallyboo is just so iconic and I’m glad he got a song with the fitting gimmick of writing apologies like in his boss fight. That and the track itself is also a bop, excellent job!
The entire execution of this song (at least when played on the overworld) is so f*cking cool. Actually booting up the game using the "touch screen", and even the minigame menu before the song starts are so simple yet so amazing details.
So, not only I think DJ Hallyboo would _ever_ get in Mario's Madness, but I don't think anyone expected that gimmick to be incorporated. Bravo once more, Mario's Madness devs.
@@draw2death421 Not really , he talks about the mechanic and presentation of the mechanic , no party has that writing thing and paranoia doesn't have a mechanic cause it has effects , that are the best in the mod.
The fact that he considers people who are bad at writing the words like if your score is low then, your bar goes up, otherwise, if you try to make it too serious with your writing or filling out the letter traces perfectly, you are instantly gonna lose. I wondered if BF really is bad at handwriting.
I love to think that devs looked at Monochrome and was like: "Yeah, you know that gimmick... What if we make it worst" Beside gimmick song is very good tho
Writing isn't nearly as quick as typing, especially with a mouse if you don't have a touchscreen. So the Monochrome gimmick is still easier in a way, you just need to know how to read Unown for that.
@@bonegamerthecyndaquill7181 That's the point: They took Monochrome and literally made it worse. Depending on how much you haven't written, DJ Hallyboo is going to remove some points from you.
@D-Side_Sunky5911 You're the nerd for saying that and you're also making a point at the same time. I wouldn't call you a nerd, I'd call you a scholar. 👨🎓
It’s a bit of an intentional fakeout. You go into the foreboding overworld location and most of them are creepy, not all too showy songs. This on estarts out like one and then hits you with the agressive debatable-genre song.
This song was so freaking awesome. Just, man seeing the game and the ui become more like the DS left me speechless! And from that moment on, I knew this was absolute peak. (Even tho I died a few times due to the mechanic. I can't write with a mouse at all LMAO. Still, super cool gimmick. I haven't seen one like this and it's very faithul to the OG series!)
This song is one of the examples of Mario's madness being an s tier mod for the fact that this incorporates the mouse and ds screen gameplay to an fnf song is epic and the song is great plus the ending part of writing criminal and the faint but loud clapping noise as if cheering the host and his hoedown on you the player for piracy and this sets as a great song in the latter half of the story mode for this mod and a great song in general also guitar go brrrr
Without a doubt this character DJ Hallyboo appears in the game Super Mario Party DS Anti-piracy that you are playing a pirated copy and you must draw what it says but at the end the word criminal appears and the game is bugged and the anti-piracy screen appears with a image of all the characters in prison
Using the Mario Party DS antipiracy "series" as one of the entries for this mod is one of the best thing i've seen this year for FNF modding, along with its execution being pulled off quite well. Great job.
@@angelo_studios5477 He’s DJ Hallyboo, who is based off the host of MP8, MC Ballyhoo. The DJ is the host of Mario Party DS in Joey Perleoni’s fanmade anti-piracy series, which is partially the reason behind the rise of fake anti-piracy screens. The difference is that Joey’s series had a narrative which culminated in meeting the DJ and facing off against him a minigame, which is what this song is based off of. The DJ is an extreme anti-piracy measure in the universe of the series who’ll literally get pirates locked up in jail if they lose
I love the song, the only thing i disliked was the mechanic, at least for me it's too annoying, i wouldn't have a problem if the mod had a "deactivate all mechanics" option, but there isn't, so
